Celebrity Cruise Gratuities 2021
Since January 2020, the company’s daily gratuity rates were increased by ~7% .
- Standard cabins’ daily gratuity was changed from US$14,50 to US$15.50 pp .
- ConciergeClass and AquaClass staterooms’ daily gratuity was changed from US$15 to US$16 pp .
- Suites’ daily gratuity was changed from US$18 to US$19 pp .
Daily gratuity is an automatic service charge added to the passenger’s onboard account each day. Passengers can prepay gratuities. Daily gratuities are split between the ship’s staff .
In 2018, Celebrity’s daily gratuities were USD 13,50 , USD 14 and USD 17 .

Taking part in such activities will get you Power Up Points, which then can be converted into Captains Club points at a ratio of 10 to 1. That is, for every 10 Power Up Points you get, youll get 1 additional Captains Club point.
As is typical with cruise line loyalty programs, lower tiers dont bring all that much in terms of truly valuable benefits. Youll get things like access to a loyalty desk or an invite to a private party . But higher levels of the program start to be enticing.

The Celebrity Cruises Fleet
Of the seven big cruise lines that account for the majority of cruises taken by North Americans, Celebrity has one of the simplest fleets.
At the core of the brand are 12 relatively big ships that can be bunched into just three groups, or classes, as they are known in cruise industry lingo.
The newest group of ships in the line is the Edge Class, consisting of just three vessels that have been unveiled since 2018 each holding around 3,000 passengers. If youre in the newer is better camp when it comes to cruise ships, this is the Celebrity ship class for you.
Celebrity currently has plans for five Edge Class vessels in all. Two more of the vessels are expected to be constructed by 2023 and 2024, respectively.
Eventually, the abovementioned rollouts will make the Edge Class the new core of the Celebrity fleet. For now, though, that title falls to the lines five-ship Solstice Class series. If you take a Celebrity cruise now, the odds are youll be on one of these ships.
Just a tad smaller than the Edge Class ships, the Solstice Class vessels were unveiled between 2008 and 2012.
The last grouping of relatively big ships in the Celebrity fleet is the Millennium Class, made up of four significantly smaller vessels that debuted between 2000 and 2002.

What proof of Vaccine do I need to provide?
To be considered fully vaccinated, documentation of full vaccination series with the last dose administered at least 14 days prior to sailing. Celebrity Cruise will not accept any form of Certificate of Recovery in place of a vaccine.
Do I need a Booster Vaccine to Travel?
At this time, COVID-19 Booster Vaccine shots are not required to sail on Celebrity Cruises.
What Vaccines are accepted?
Celebrity accepts vaccines that are fully approved or authorized for emergency use by theU.S. FDA or the World Health Organization. A guest is considered fully vaccinated after the required number of doses in their vaccine series have been fully administered at least 28 days apart and at least 14 days before sailing.
- Pfizer: 2 Doses
- Sinovac: 2 Doses
- U.S. Based AstraZeneca and Novavax clinical trial participants are considered fully vaccinated.
- US participants in COVID-19 vaccine trials can be considered fully vaccinated 2 weeks after they complete the vaccine series, if it has been confirmed that they received active vaccine, and not placebo.
Can I have mixed vaccines?
The CDC will now also recognize as fully vaccinated, all guests with a mixed series of any two of the following vaccines taken within a minimum of 28 days between doses:
- Mixed Doses: Pfizer + Moderna in any order
