After 13 wonderful cruises with Celebrity I bought a 14th cruise with Celebrity this year. I was PACKED for departure on the Equinox to the Eastern Caribbean leaving Fort Lauderdale on March 14, 2020.If you are 79 years of age in this COVID-19 environment, irrespective of your distance from the nearest perceived threat, you think twice about the timing of your 14th cruise. Important: Celebrity Cruises requires guests to be checked in no later than 60 minutes prior to the scheduled sailing time.* Guests arriving late will not be permitted to sail. This supports government regulations in some ports that require cruise lines to submit a departure manifest 60 minutes prior to sailing. Guests are requested to complete Online Check-in at no later than 3 days prior to the cruise in order to expedite the pier check-in process.*Some sailings may require an earlier check-in time. What Do I Need For Online Check
Check-in is much easier if youve got everything in hand. Heres the information youll need to complete your online check-in:
- cruise line reference number
- passport and visa details
- next of kin emergency contact details
When completing your online check-in, you may also be required to give credit card details to set up an onboard expense account. Cruise lines might also ask for the details of your travel insurance policy.

What proof of Vaccine do I need to provide?
To be considered fully vaccinated, documentation of full vaccination series with the last dose administered at least 14 days prior to sailing. Celebrity Cruise will not accept any form of Certificate of Recovery in place of a vaccine.
Do I need a Booster Vaccine to Travel?
At this time, COVID-19 Booster Vaccine shots are not required to sail on Celebrity Cruises.
What Vaccines are accepted?
Celebrity accepts vaccines that are fully approved or authorized for emergency use by theU.S. FDA or the World Health Organization. A guest is considered fully vaccinated after the required number of doses in their vaccine series have been fully administered at least 28 days apart and at least 14 days before sailing.
- Pfizer: 2 Doses
- Sinovac: 2 Doses
- U.S. Based AstraZeneca and Novavax clinical trial participants are considered fully vaccinated.
- US participants in COVID-19 vaccine trials can be considered fully vaccinated 2 weeks after they complete the vaccine series, if it has been confirmed that they received active vaccine, and not placebo.
Can I have mixed vaccines?
The CDC will now also recognize as fully vaccinated, all guests with a mixed series of any two of the following vaccines taken within a minimum of 28 days between doses:
- Mixed Doses: Pfizer + Moderna in any order
- Mixed Doses: AstraZeneca + Pfizer OR Moderna

Celebrity Cruises Anyone Else Problem With Online Check In
Have been trying to check in online for our cruise with Celebrity Reflection, but page just keep saying “Sorry, a glitch at the moment”. Called the Swedish customer service and they just said that “there can be technical problem sometimes”.
Anyone else had problems with the online check in for Celebrity Cruises?
Yes there have been glitches on check-in and manage my booking for several days now. Celebrity is a very good cruise line with very poor IT.
Same problem – after providing details on “Check-in” and pressing “Save” button this is followed by “Glitch” caption. Phoned helpdesk 0844 4932092 who then passed me onto IT department. Despite hanging on for ages nobody answered. Usual story – nobody cares
Eventually, I have now been able to complete online check in. Had to try a couple of days though.
what do you do when you get to photo i do not have one that meets the criteria
We just skipped that. We didnt upload a photo but could complete the online check in anyway.
I have understood that if you do not upload a photo, they will simply just take a picture at the terminal before boarding.
tried to by pass photo . would not let me continue had to take selfie and upload . to get my express pass printed
Strange, as we had no problem to by pass photo and I have also been able to print out our xpress passes.
