The Disney Wonder will now be spending the winter in San Diego, California! Originally, the Wonder had a few cruises announced for October 2022 and April and May 2023 sailing out of San Diego, with nothing announced between. Now, the Disney Wonder will sail 3-, 4-, 5- and 7-night cruises to Baja, Mexico and the Mexican Riviera from San Diego from September 23, 2022, through May 11, 2023. Disney Cruise Line will offer all the normal parties and events during the Holidays as well, as several cruises will feature either Halloween on the High Seas or Very Merrytime Cruises.
Port Of Ensenada Mexico
From the port to the town of Ensenada was about a 20 minute walk. We had some great views of the Disney Wonder from the port so we stopped to take a few pictures. My 12-year-old chose to stay on the ship and go to the kids club while we went exploring. We bought a couple of snacks, my son bought a hat, and we found a cute little purse for our friend Scout, back at home.

The cost for sailing on the Disney Wonder out of the Port of San Diego will vary greatly on the time of year you go, the number of guests, the length of the cruise, and the type of room you need/want.

Disney Cruise Discounts For Canadian Residents
Canadian residents sometimes qualify for special rates on select sailings on Disney Cruise Line.
New!As of December 7, 2022, the following cruises had availability in the Canadian Resident category. Prices given are lowest available fares for a single stateroom, in US dollars, including taxes, fees and port expenses, rounded to the nearest dollar. All sailings are from Port Canaveral unless noted otherwise. The room category available at that fare is in parentheses.
General Notes:
- A single guest gets charged essentially the same price as two guests.
- 5-passenger rooms are rarely discounted for Canadian residents, but they do show up occasionally.
- These discounts come and go as room inventory for a cruise changes. If you check for one and it doesnt come up, it may come back. Its worth checking back a few times over the next day or two to see if the discount becomes available again.
- If a price isnt listed, that doesnt mean the category is completely sold out, just that it isnt available with this discount.

Disney Port Of San Diego Tips
San Diego is a beautiful port and the Cruise Terminal is right in the heart of the downtown area of the city. If you can, make sure to spend some time before or after your cruise in this wonderful city.
The San Diego Cruise port address is B Street Pier 1140 N Harbor Drive, San Diego, CA 92101. It is very conveniently located just across the street from the Amtrak Train Station.
The San Diego port is only about 3 miles away from the International Airport. Too far to walk, but it is an easy car ride to the port. It will take less than 10 minutes unless the traffic is particularly bad!
We think that if you are arriving at the San Diego airport and just want to get to the port, a ride-sharing service is a great idea.
An Uber will only cost around $10 to $12. Lyft will be slightly less at around $8. The most expensive option from the Airport to the Port will be a taxi which will cost in the region of $20.
There is public transport from the airport to the cruise port. This costs $2.25 per person each way.
The bus you need is the 992 which runs from the airport to downtown via the cruise port. Obviously, this is the most economical way, but really a ride-sharing service isnt too much more if there are 3 or more guests in your party.

San Diego Disney Cruise 2022
Right now only the early Spring 2022 and early Fall Disney San Diego cruises are available to be booked.
The last San Diego Disney Cruise for 2022 which is available right now is the October 3, 2022 sailing for 3 nights to Ensenada.
It isnt known why the Disney Wonder schedule stops in early October 2022. The other 4 ships , all have cruises that are available up to the end of 2022.
The usual pattern would be that the Disney Wonder would reposition to Galveston and then New Orleans in early November.
The Disney Wonder will sail the following itineraries of 2, 4, and 5-night cruises from San Diego.
Adventures By Disney Cruise Packages
2022 Adventures by Disney Cruise Packages have not yet been announced.

We stayed in San Diego the night before our cruise at our favorite hotel, the Best Western Island Palms on Shelter Island. I always recommend arriving in your port city the day before your cruise. I find it too risky to travel the day of embarkation.
We arrived at the port at about 11:00 am and dropped off our luggage. We were then directed to go across the street to the Wyndham hotel for our pre-cruise test.
We waited in the ballroom for about 25 minutes for our results. After being cleared, we headed back to the cruise terminal.
Going through customs took about 20 minutes, then we were ready to board the ship! Be prepared to give your name as you get on the ship so the crew members can announce your arrival.
After boarding, we headed to our assigned spot on Deck 4 to complete the mandatory safety drill.

Dinner At Tianas Place
Our Main Dining Room experience for dinner was Tianas Place. Tianas Place is a New Orleans style restaurant themed after the Princess and the Frog and even includes live entertainment!
Here are some of the items we ordered from Tianas Place. Everything we had was delicious, especially the Beignets!

Touring The Disney Wonder
After returning to the ship, we stopped for lunch at Cabanas. I didnt notice until after I ate, that Cabanas was serving Fajitas that day, so if you make this stop on your cruise, dont miss out on the Fajitas!
My oldest went to the Vibe to hang out with his new friends, and my 7 year old wanted to go back to the kids club to play. My 12-year-old stayed with my husband and I while we went to explore more of the Wonder.
Dinner At Animators Palate
Our last main dining experience was back where we started at Animators Palate. Here are some items that we ordered from the menu: Sliced Serrano Ham, Black Truffle Pasta Purseittes, Baked Potato and Cheddar Cheese Soup, Chicken and Walnut Salad, Pennete Bolognese, Ginger- Teriyaki dusted Angus Beef Tenderloin, Cookies n Cream Sundae, and Lemon Icebox Pie.
The experience on Day 5 was a little bit different as there were drawings and a show during dinner. We even had a visit from Mickey Mouse himself!
This Lemon Icebox Pie was one of my favorite desserts on our Disney Wonder Cruise. I loved it so much, I came home and recreated the recipe for my family. If you would like to make this pie at home, here is the recipe.
