Disney Cruise Line Dropping Vaccine Mandate For All Passengers
Disney Cruise Line will soon be dropping its vaccination mandate one of the last large-ship cruise lines to do so. Starting October 14 for Disney Wonder, Dream, Fantasy, and Wish and November 7 for Disney Magic, the line will no longer require that any guests are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 at the time of sailing.
All passengers ages five and older who are not fully vaccinated will need to submit proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken one to two days before embarkation day to sail. Kids four and younger do not require testing.
To be exempt from testing requirements, fully vaccinated guests must upload proof of vaccination to the Inspire Diagnostics Safe Passage website no later than midnight prior to embarkation day.
Unvaccinated guests must upload a negative COVID-19 test result to the Inspire Diagnostics Safe Passage website by midnight prior to embarkation day.
For upload, parents or legal guardians will need to use their own account to provide this information on behalf of minors. It does not need to be done for kids four and younger.
Passengers should also bring a copy of their proof of vaccination or negative test result with them to the port, although this isnt required.

If your upcoming cruise on the Disney Wonder, Disney Dream, Disney Fantasy or Disney Wish is impacted by the changes and you now want to cancel or modify your sailing, you must do so by September 12, 2022. Cancellation and modification requests received before September 12 will not result in any Disney-imposed cancellation fees.
Current Vaccination Guidelines Remain In Effect Until September
Disney updated its vaccination requirements Monday for guests traveling on its cruise line.
According to Disneys website, the current vaccination guidelines, requiring anyone 5 and older to be fully vaccinated before traveling, will continue through Sept. 1.
Starting Sept. 2, guests aged 12 and older must be fully vaccinated before sailing on Disney Cruise Line. Disney, according to the site, now highly recommends that Guests ages 11 and younger be fully vaccinated before sailing.
Disney still requires guests to submit to a COVID-19 test before boarding and upload the test results on the Inspire Diagnostics Safe Passage website by midnight prior to embarkation day, the website states.

Disney Cruise Line Removes Vaccine Mandate And Relaxes Testing
Disney Cruise Line becomes one of the final major lines to remove the vaccine mandate, along with relaxing testing requirements.
Starting October 14, Disney Cruise Line will drop the vaccine mandate for all guests and introduce relaxed testing requirements for fully vaccinated guests. Disney Cruise Line is one of the last cruise lines to make these changes.
The new protocols will be introduced on a rolling basis, starting with Disney Wish, and concluding withDisney Magic on November 7. For four out of five ships in the fleet, the changes come right on time for the popular Halloween cruises.
Disney Cruises To Require Covid
Disney Cruise Line in January will require that all passengers 5 years and older be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, expanding the company’s mandate to include younger children aboard its ships.
Disney, which operates four ships, is the first cruise line to update its policy with a requirement for children ages 5 to 11, who only recently became eligible for the vaccine.
The updated policy takes effect on January 13, 2022, Disney said. Until that date, Parents of kids under 5 years of age must show proof of a negative test for a child between three days and 24 hours ahead of departure. The requirements apply to sailings in the U.S. and abroad.
The requirements align with Disney’s policy stating all vaccine-eligible guests be immunized against COVID-19.
Th Food and Drug Administration late last month approved kid-size doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine for children as young as 5, as now recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Disney and most other large cruise lines now require passengers 12 and older to be fully vaccinated. Some have allowed unvaccinated children onboard with a pre-departure coronavirus test, but the numbers are limited due to policies requiring at least 95% of passengers to be immunized.
Norwegian Cruise Line requires all passengers and crew be fully vaccinated, including eligible children, and bars ineligible children from boarding its ships.

Disney Cruise Line Vaccine Policy
Disney is well-known as being a family-friendly cruise line, meaning lots of kids sail. You might think that would mean relaxed restrictions regarding vaccines for kids. Instead, it’s the opposite.
While most cruise lines are dropping vaccine requirements to sail, Disney — known for being a family focused line — is only loosening them for smaller kids. The cruise line did require kids aged 5 and older to be vaccinated in order to sail, but has moved to requiring vaccines for only 12 years and up:
“Beginning September 2, 2022, for sailings departing US and Canadian ports, Disney Cruise Line will require Guests ages 12 and older to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 at the time of sailing, as defined by the CDC. In consideration of CDC guidance, Disney Cruise Line highly recommends that Guests ages 11 and younger be fully vaccinated before sailing.”
There is no exemption policy mentioned for adults.

Fully Vaccinated Guests Ages 12+
As you mightve guessed from the news above, these changes still require Guests ages 12 and up to be fully vaccinated in order to sail. Proof of vaccination must be uploaded to the Inspire Diagnostics Safe Passage website by midnight before your cruises embarkation day. Disney Cruise Line Updates Vaccine And Testing Protocols
Disney Cruise Line has updated its vaccination and testing requirements, effective September 2, 2022.
The cruise line will now require guests 12 and older to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 in order to sail from ports in the United States and Canada previously, this rule was for guests 5 and older.
Though the line highly recommends everyone who is eligible for vaccination be fully vaccinated prior to sailing, those who arent vaccinated are required to submit proof of a negative NAAT or PCR test taken one to three days prior to sailing. A second test will be required during embarkation.
Fully vaccinated guests are still required to pre-test and upload their results onto the Inspire Diagnostics Safe Passage website, along with their vaccination status. Unvaccinated travelers must also use this website to upload their information.
Travelers on back-to-back sailings will be required to test between sailings, paid for by the cruise line.

Disney Cruise Line updated their Know Before You Go pages on September 27th with a change in the COVID-19 vaccination requirement. Disney Cruise Line will be dropping the vaccination requirement allowing unvaccinated guest to sail with a negative test. The sail dates vary by ship with the majority of the fleet dropping the vaccination requirement mid-October, followed in November by the Disney Magic.

Children who set sail on Disney cruise ships will soon have to be vaccinated against COVID-19.
All Disney Cruise Line guests ages five and over will be required to show proof of vaccination as of Jan. 13 on national and international trips, the company announced Wednesday.
Kids younger than five will have to provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken in the days before they board the ship.
The cruise line currently requires that children 12 and over be inoculated.
Disney had docked its cruise ships through the summer over pandemic concerns.
Can I Get The Shot The Day Before I Sail Or Just One Dose
No. Cruise lines make it clear that passengers must be fully vaccinated. That means having both doses of a two-dose shot 14 days before embarking on the ship. A single shot of the Johnson & Johnson dose is ok, but still requires receiving it well in advance of sailing.
In other words, this is not something you want to put off until the last minute.

The Cruise Line Hasn’t Required Proof Of Vaccination For Trips Out Of The United States Until Now
Disney Cruise Line will begin mandating proof of vaccination for cruises to the Bahamas next month, the first time the company will require the jab for cruises in the United States.
Starting Sept. 3, Disney will require all passengers 12 and older to be fully vaccinated at least 14 days before boarding any cruise headed to the Bahamas, including to the company’s private island, Castaway Cay, according to the company.
The new guidelines will be in place through at least Nov. 1.
Children under 12 are exempt and will be allowed to board with proof of a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken between five days and 24 hours before their departure as well as a second PCR test taken at the terminal before boarding.
The updated protocols come after the Bahamas implemented a vaccine policy requiring all cruise passengers 12 and older to show proof they are fully vaccinated in order for a ship to dock, including on a cruise line’s private island. The order does not apply to crew, children under 12, or anyone who is ineligible for the COVID-19 vaccine due to a medical reason.
This is the first time Disney has required proof of vaccination for a U.S.-based cruise. Previously, the company allowed unvaccinated guests to board, but said any guest who provided proof of vaccination would be exempt from pre-departure testing or insurance requirements. The company did require proof of vaccination for its planned sailings from the United Kingdom for passengers 18 and older.
