Having recently undergone a $200 million refurbishment, the changes to the Carnival Triumph were so dramatic that the ship needed a new identity. So, in 2019, Triumph was reborn as Sunrise, and it’s now part of the Sunshine class of ships.
Every cabin on Sunrise was remodeled with fresh new furnishings, plus dining and beverage additions like Cucina del Capitano, Fahrenheit 555 Steakhouse, Bonsai Express, and Red Frog Pub. A new Sports Court was installed with mini golf, a ropes course, and a WaterWorks water park.

Heading to Australia and New Zealand for next year’s summer season, the 2700-passenger Resilient Lady is set to become the third vessel in Virgin Voyages’ expanding fleet in 2023 and offers a vibrant cruise experience aimed at a young and young-at-heart demographic.

One of Carnivals newest ships sails from Miami with plenty of accommodation choices, including the Family Harbor, dedicated family staterooms with their own lounge and concierge, and the Cloud 9 Spa staterooms with unlimited access to the spas thermal suites.
The luxurious Havana suites come with swinging hammock chairs on the balconies and exclusive daytime access to the hip Havana Bar and Lounge. Msc Cruises’ New Msc Seascape Offers Msc Yacht Club Expanded Public Areas
MSC Cruises’ second Seaside EVO class ship, MSC Seascape will debut at PortMiami in November 2022 when it launches. Like sister-ship MSC Seashore, which made its U.S. debut in fall 2021, MSC Seascape will offer 2,270 individual cabins across 12 separate grades of accomodations, including balcony staterooms, suites and MSC’s coveted Yacht Club luxury ship-within-a-ship concept.
An increased focus on public rooms that connect with the sea will be showcased aboard MSC Seashore, with some 70 percent of all public spaces being completely redesigned from the ship’s predecessors, MSC Seaside and MSC Seaview. But, like its fleetmates, MSC Seascape will offer some of the most distinctive features of this class, including the massive Waterfront promenade and the spectacular glass-floored “Bridge of Sighs” perched 16 decks above the water.

The ship features six distinctive zones, including the high energy, transformative 3-deck atrium, Celebration Central, spanning decks 6, 7, and 8, where bold shows and amazing views will delight guests.
Tropical vibes infuse the Miami-themed 820 Biscayne neighborhood on deck 8, named after the address of Carnivals original headquarters, where guests will celebrate the culture, architecture, and flavors of the home city where Carnival Cruise Line first began in 1972.
Miami-themed drinks and Cuban-infused options will be found in 820 Biscayne, as well as bold colors and great details that pay homage to the cruise lines history.
Cruise guests familiar with decades of Carnival cruising wont want to miss The Golden Jubilee venue on deck 6, an intimate bar highlighting 50 years of fun with exclusive memorabilia from the cruise lines history. Special artifacts include blueprints, glass-paneled artwork, commemorative coins, and colorful dioramas that showcase different decades of Carnival cruising.

As the results continue to be announced in the annual Cruise Ship Awards, it can now be revealed that Carnival Cruise Lines second Excel-class cruise ship is the Most Anticipated New Cruise Ship of 2022.

New Holland America Cruise Ship
Holland America Line, now celebrating 150 years sailing the high seas on transatlantic voyages, is commemorating the occasion by launching the Rotterdam VII in 2022.
In 1872, Rotterdam I embarked on its maiden voyage from Rotterdam to New York. Now 150 years later, Holland America Line seeks to recreate the fanfare, elegance and electricity of that original voyage.
Rotterdam VII will make ports of call that mirror Rotterdam Is voyage. These stops include Plymouth, England, New York City and Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Other cruises that the Rotterdam VII has made include:

More Cancelations For Two Carnival Cruise Ships
Carnival Cruise Line is canceling multiple 2024 sailings for Carnival Sunrise and Carnival Miracle, but for very different reasons.
In addition to the month of cancelations just announced for Carnival Vista, Carnival Cruise Line has also canceled a month of sailings for Carnival Sunrise, as well as several cruises canceled for Carnival Miracle. One ship will be undergoing a dry dock, while the other will be sailing an alternative itinerary instead of its original schedule.

Best Overall: Carnival Glory
Carnival Glory was built in 2003, making it an older but beloved ship. While you may assume that Glory would be showing its age, constant refurbishments have kept it updated and in optimal condition.

What Was Carnival Cruise Lines First Ever Ship
The very first Carnival cruise ship was the Mardi Gras. However she wasnt built for the cruise line, but was the first ship for the newly formed Ted Arison Carnival Cruise Line. Mardi Gras started sailing for Carnival Cruise Line in 1972 and ever since Carnival have expanded at a fast pace, creating more exciting and innovative ships as time has gone on.
Carnival has recently named one of their newer ship Carnival Mardi Gras in a loving nod to their first ship. The original Mardi Gras was around 27,200 gross tons and held 1240 passengers, which compared to todays ships such as the new Carnival Mardi Gras at 180,000 gross tons and holding 5282 passengers is tiny.
Carnival Miracle Cruises Canceled
In addition to the cruise cancelations for Carnival Vista and Carnival Sunrise, the Spirit-class Carnival Miracle has also canceled cruises, but for a different reason.
Carnival Cruise Line has rescheduled Carnival Miracle for a 14-night Carnival Journeys sailing to Hawaii, departing on Sunday, January 21, 2024.
This means the ships previously scheduled cruises must be canceled to accommodate the new sailing. The new Hawaii cruise will still depart from Carnival Miracles homeport, Long Beach, California.
The canceled sailings are from January 21, 2024 through and including January 30, 2024, after which the ship will resume its previously planned Baja Mexico and Mexican Riviera itineraries, with another Carnival Journeys cruise to Hawaii departing on February 17, 2024.
Carnival Journeys sailings are longer, more immersive itineraries visiting dream destinations. Onboard activities, including entertainment performances, trivia, and in-stateroom movies are often themed to the destination, and special menu items will also be related to ports of call.
The new sailing to Hawaii, which includes visits to Maui, Honolulu, Kauai, and Hilo as well as Ensenada, Mexico, is now on sale.

Carnival Cruise Line officially took delivery of the new Excel-class vessel, Carnival Celebration, from the Meyer Turku shipyard in Finland on Wednesday, November 2, 2022, four days before the planned inaugural voyage from Southampton.
