Who Should Go And How Long
The best thing about this adventure in Panama City Beach, Florida, is that the entire family can come along for the fun! Everyone from the smallest swashbuckler to the most experienced pirate is welcome to hop on board. Visitors ages 15-59 cost $27 per person, while seniors ages 60 and over pay $23 each. Kids ages 3-14 cost $19 each, toddlers ages 1-2 cost $13 each, and infants under age 1 are free! You are still required to have a ticket for your infant, though, so please include all members of your party when youre booking. If youre taking a sunset cruise, each ticket will cost an additional $2.
Pirate cruises last about 2 hours, but youll have everything you need to be comfortable while youre on board. Like weve mentioned, food and drink will be available if you need a refreshment, and restrooms are easily accessible. If youre worried about getting seasick, know that the captain and crew make every effort to provide a smooth ride. If you have a history of seasickness, you might want to take some medicine a few hours before the cruise, per the medicines instructions.
Where Do I Sit
Often when we are first loading the boat the last 30 passengers or so to come aboard start to worry about having a place to sit down. Crewmembers will inform you that there will be plenty of seats available shortly after we get underway. Thats because all of the kids will get up and begin their activities. This frees up enough seats to allow any and all the adults to sit down if they want. Also, you dont have to sit down if you dont want to. You are more than welcome to stand along the rail and enjoy the beautiful scenery or move about the ship while we are underway.

Are Wheelchairs Allowed Aboard Ship
Absolutely! We have many guests who come aboard and enjoy our cruise while in a wheelchair. We will make every effort to include children and adults in our activities who are confined to a wheelchair. We have a ramp that accommodates a standard width chair and we will help in any way that we can to get the chair aboard the boat. Please be advised that our restrooms are not easily accessible to someone in a wheelchair. There are stairs and marine hatches between the main deck and the restrooms. You are more than welcome to come down to the dock and measure our ramp prior to your cruise.
Are There Restrooms On The Ship
Yes, we have both mens and womens restrooms aboard the ship. They are located down the stairs located in the galley and then forward through the dungeon. We pride ourselves on keeping our restrooms clean and in perfect working order. Please notify any crewmember or the Captain if you discover any problems with our restrooms. We will make every effort to fix the situation right away!

Can We Smoke During The Cruise
Yes, you are allowed to smoke for a brief period at about the halfway point of the cruise. The Captain will make an announcement for the kids go to the dungeon to hear the Pirate Treasure Story. When you hear The Captain say this, make your way to the back of the top deck if you would like to smoke. The Captain has ashtrays for your use. Please do not throw your butts into the ocean or extinguish them on the deck! We ask that you be considerate of nonsmokers and children while youre smoking. Be aware of the wind and try to position yourself so that the smoke blows away from those around you.

The Sea Dragon Pirate Cruise is one of Panama City Beachs premier vacation attractions. Our 2 hour cruises offer something for everyone in your family. We provide an exceptional sightseeing experience of the waters, shoreline and wildlife near the entrance to St. Andrews Bay. The captain will point out numerous species of birds and fish during the cruise and if youre lucky hell scream out, There she blows! as you spot some of our playful bottled nosed dolphins. The sea is full of surprises so we never know for sure just what we might see during our cruises. There are even rumors of mermaids sometimes being spotted on the rocks of the jetties. They wave to us and try and lure us into running aground.
If you get hungry or thirsty our galley bar has plenty of cold drinks and snacks to hold you over until we return to shore. Captain Fearless Phil and his awesome crew will take your children into the carefree days of pirates while you simply sit back and relax. Will I Get Seasick
We hope not! The Captain will make every effort to stay in calm water. There may be a few minutes when we are at the mouth of the pass looking for dolphins when the boat will rock a little. It wont last for long!
If youre worried, make sure to take your motion sickness medicine early enough to do some good . If you or anyone in your group starts to feel bad make sure to stay out on the main deck and in the wind. Going down to the restrooms will make things worse! Make the Captain or one of the crew aware and we will try and help.
What Happens If It Rains
Most of the time here in PC Beach the rain moves through the area quickly in 10-15 minutes and does not interfere with our cruises. If we do get caught in a passing rainstorm, there is ample room to get everyone inside and out of the weather. We can even continue the kids activities in our dungeon.
We strive to give you as much notice as possible when we make the decision to cancel a cruise. We will call you at the number associated with your tickets. You will be given the option to move your reservations to another day/time. It will take several minutes to call everyone so if you are concerned and havent been contacted yet please feel free to call. It is possible for the weather to be bad where you are yet still nice at our location.

What To Expect On Board
Almost as soon as everyone boards the ship, the crew will gather the little ones for their 2-hour itinerary of swashbucklin fun. They will get to enjoy funny stories told by in-character crew members, sword fights , face painting, pirate tattoos, squirt gun battles, and, of course, buried treasure. While the kids make timeless memories and new friends, parents enjoy some blissful sightseeing on the main deck. Youll see numerous species of birds, fish, andif youre luckya pod of Bottlenose dolphins! The Sea Dragon Pirate Cruise: A Panama City Must

We had a dolphin encounter before we ever departed from the Grand Lagoon at the Lighthouse Marina. The boys loved looking out to see the dolphin jumping out of the water. While we were waiting for everyone to board the ship, I got the boys to stand next to the huge wheel of the ship to make some good nautical pictures. It was not long before Captain Fearless Phil joined us at the helm with his sword to help everyone make even better pictures than I had imagined. The boys and girls really enjoyed his pirate persona.
As we headed out to sea, the pirate ship played a brief narrative history of pirates over the ships speakers that invoked a real sense of the drama of pirate life at sea. After the ship got going, all the little buccaneers were invited down onto the main deck for some great fun. It all started with everyone participating in a water gun fight, which was thoroughly enjoyed by all on the hot day. Next everyone got a mop to help clean up the ship as any good crew members would do. The activities for the children changed literally everyone ten to fifteen minutes, and the next one was face painting so everyone looked just like a real pi-rate. Then it was time for some sword fighting and for some cannon firing where everyone earned a special bracelet for their effort.

Sea Dragon Pirate Cruise Panama City Beach Fl
Before he was Captain Fearless Phil, Phillip Adams was just another young boy grateful for the privilege to have been born to a family of fishermen in Panama City Beach. He spent his youth on the water, just as his father and grandfather had.
After World War II, his family got into SCUBA diving before anyone was doing it on the Gulf Coast. As each generation went by, one man took on the role of provider, diving and fishing to feed the family. Phillips mother worked at the bank, and his father was the postman. All that free fish helped, he says.
Phillip had an uncle who had been to Vietnam, returning home after being shot down. I always followed him around, wanted to learn from him be like him, he recalls.
On his 18th birthday, Phillip took his captains test with the Coast Guard. He began taking out charter boats of fishers and divers. Then, in 1978, he joined AMI Kids, working with delinquent children on the ocean. It became his career for 25 years, and he enjoyed every minute of it. But when he was ready to retire, he wanted to stay on the ocean.
That same beloved uncle, Andy, had brought a pirate ship attraction to Panama City Beach. His replica boat had been operating for five years. Phillip thought he could learn the business from Uncle Andy, then build his own boat in another harbor. But during the first month of working together, good ol Uncle Andy made Phillip an offer he couldnt refuse.

The Sea Dragon Pirate Cruise is locally owned and operated by Capt. Fearless Phil and his family, not some larger corporation. He was born and raised in Panama City, Florida, and has spent his whole life on the sea. Prior to purchasing the Sea Dragon from his uncle, Capt. Fearless Phil worked for 25 years with delinquent teenagers on the ocean. In addition to being your Captain, Fearless Phil has been a SCUBA diving instructor, Fist Aid/CPR instructor, and a lifeguard.
