For the new ship series, Saga employed the designer company SMC Design, which has extensive experience with cruise vessel design. Among SMC Design’s customers are also P& O Cruises UK , Viking Ocean Cruises , NCL .
In early-March 2019, Saga Cruises announced that its newbuilds are all-inclusive liners. This means that Saga Group’s cruise fares are inclusive of speciality restaurant dining, drinks , 24-hour room service, Wi-Fi, gratuities, transfer . Shore excursions remain optional and at additional cost. The cruise company offers complimentary shuttle bus services in all ports where the town/city is over 0,5 km from the ship.
The vessel’s construction started on March 27, 2019, with the steel-cutting ceremony at Meyer Werft’s Papenburg shipyard. Vessel’s keel-laying ceremony was held on June 3, 2019, attended by Robin Shaw . Ship’s inauguration was planned for August 2020. During the keel-laying, a special-edition coin was positioned under hull’s first block. The coin was stamped with the vessel’s name, the keel-laying date and the lettering S715 . The process involves assembling a total of 54 blocks .
Shipboard Dining And Entertainment Options
Spirit of Adventure has 4 restaurants , several bars and lounges , wellness complex , Boutique Shop , Library, Lobby area , 2 swimming pools , Promenade Deck , Sun Deck , laundrettes . The ship has all 6 elevators .
“Saga Adventure” ship features all-balcony staterooms, modern hotel amenities, British-style themed onboard activities, professional and traditionally attentive service. There is a choice of dining experiences, bars and entertainment venues, including speciality , outdoor Lido Deck , Saga’s signature Britannia Lounge, theatre lounge, central hub .
The Living Room is a midship lounge with floor-ceiling windows, comfortable modern seating . Living Room’s cafe bar doubles as patisserie during the day and as speciality cocktail bar in the evenings. The design features a sculptural grand staircase and full-height artworks.
The cruise liner also has a modern wellness complex and 2 swimming pools . The Spa complex consists of Beauty Salon, Hydrotherapy Pool, Salt-Steam Room, Saunas , 5 treatment rooms . Library Lounge offers coffee and fresh cakes and one of the best-stocked book collections at sea. The 444-seat Playhouse Theatre has tiered seating and hosts grand-scale evening show productions, cinema screenings, live music performances.
Khukuri House is an Italian restaurant with Nepalese cuisine, traditional artwork, room dividers , hidden lighting. Most tables are 2-seat plus 4-seat tables with sofas and armchairs .
Three Months Of Sailings
Now that Norwegian Spirit has arrived, the ship will offer alternating departures from Sydney and Auckland, with port-rich 12-night itineraries that provide a marvelous overview of the region.
Ports of call on each sailing include Tauranga, Napier, Wellington, Christchurch, Dunedin, and Fiordland National Park in New Zealand, as well as Melbourne, Burnie, and Eden in Australia.

The Leo-class Norwegian Spirit sailed into Sydney Harbor on Wednesday, December 21, 2022, three years since the cruise line operated in Australian waters.
But the ship doesnt just bring another option for cruisers to enjoy Norwegian Spirit is arriving in Australia with her $100 million revitalization, the most expensive and extensive ever undertaken by Norwegian Cruise Line.
The updates were completed through a 43-day dry dock 2020, bringing aboard new restaurants and bars, updated hull art, new staterooms, and more. A Thermal Suite was added, as well as the Spice H2O retreat with its club-like vibes. Now, the ship has arrived Down Under to restart Norwegian Cruise Line sailings in this popular region.

For the first time in three years, a Norwegian Cruise Line ship is sailing in Australian waters. But not just any ship, the revamped Norwegian Spirit has debuted following her $100 million bow-to-stern revitalization, bringing Norwegians signature freestyle cruising and a range of itineraries for cruisers to enjoy for the next three months.
Alternatives To Power Strips
USB Charging Stations: Charging stations do not usually include plug outlets but have multiple USB options. They are usually used to charge things like phones, tablets, and cameras. This is my personal favourite option and Id recommend a charging station for most cruisers. Theyre relatively cheap, small and work very well.
Multi Socket Outlets: Outlet taps plug into the plug socket and are used to provide additional outlets, most of them include USB options. You may have seen either long or cube-shaped outlet taps which provide 2 or 3 extra sockets.
Outlet Adapters: Due to the different types of outlets in different countries, outlet adapters provide different types of plugs, and may contain USB options. An outlet adapter may convert a US plug socket to a UK one for example and provide extra USB sockets. An outlet adapter eliminates the need for a separate adapter which you would need if using an outlet tap or charging station.
Note: Some devices will have other names including power port, outlet extender, and wall mount but may still be used onboard as long as there is no surge protection.

Daytime: Norwegian’s “Freestyle Cruising” mantra lends itself to cruisers who wear what they want when they want, especially during the day.
Evening: The ship has two main dining rooms: Skyline Restaurant and Liberty Restaurant cruise casual attire is acceptable at Skyline Restaurant while more formal attire is required at Liberty Restaurant. There is one “Norwegian’s Night Out,” where guests are welcome to dress up . Toward the middle of the week, the ship puts on its White Hot Party, a club-style event with a DJ and dancing , and white attire is encouraged. “Smart casual” attire is required at the fee-based restaurants. Flip-flops and T-shirts are perfectly acceptable at the buffets.
Not permitted: Shoes are required in all dining venues and tank tops and baseball caps are also never permitted.
