Directions To Port Canaveral The Cove And Jetty Park
From Orlando, simply drive east on SR 528, affectionately called the Beachline. Watch carefully for road signs to Port Canaveral, as Florida notoriously lacks in good road signage.
When you finally and excitedly see cruise ships across the water in front of you on your left, stay to the right. Youll soon want to exit from 528 onto A1A South. Merge briefly onto A1A south and stay to your right for the exit. At the stop light, go left under the overpass. Follow George King Blvd and look for overhead signs to The Cove. You can enter the Cove area on either Flounder St. or Glen Cheek Road.
Heading to Jetty Park? Continue on George King Blvd and keep going to the end. Follow the signs for the campground.
Theres plenty of free parking at the Cove. With a 3:30 arrival, parking is easy.
Enjoy and have fun as you watch the ships sail away from Port Canaveral and out to sea!

Take Advantage Of The Bring Your Own Beverage Policies
While youll have access to drink packages, onboard restaurants, and shoreside bars, you can also save during your cruise when it comes to non-alcoholic drinks.
Passengers can bring their own beverages onto their cruise to save money. Different cruise lines have different Bring Your Own Beverages policies, but the guidelines are typically the same. Cruisers can bring a pack of sodas, sparkling water, energy drinks, milk, and other non-alcoholic drinks as long as they are in cans or cartons .
Typically, cruise lines require that beverages be included in carry-on luggage, and guests who are of drinking age can bring an unopened bottle of wine onboard. If you want to bring beer or liquor with you, youre out of luck those drinks have to be purchased after boarding for most cruises!
Bonus Tip: Watch Out for Prohibited Items Before you get to the cruise terminal, make sure that nothing illegal is in your luggage. This includes weapons , drugs, candles, hot plates, and perishable foods. You can check with your cruise line ahead of time about what exactly they dont allow onboard their ships so youre well prepared before getting there!
Take Advantage Of Different Cruise Lengths
Did you know that long and short cruise lengths have distinct atmospheres? Cruise lines offer different styles of on-board activities, but different lengths also bring something new to guests!
If youre interested in a cruise that has plenty of younger crowds and high-energy moments, then a short cruise is better for you. Why? Less expensive, short cruises attract a rowdier crowd . For those looking for a laidback, relaxed experience, youre looking to spend a week or longer on a NCL or Royal Caribbean ship.

Allure Of The Seas Test Cruise Will Carry Employees Volunteer Passengers
PORT CANAVERAL, Fla. Royal Caribbean is preparing to sail again from Port Canaveral with employees and volunteer passengers.
Royal Caribbean owns the ship that was the first to return to cruising this summer from an American port.
Now on Tuesday, the cruise line resumes departures from Port Canaveral with a simulated cruise of the Allure of the Seas.
It seems like yesterday that people were asking me if I thought cruising would restart by December,’ CEO Richard Fain said in a Royal Caribbean video earlier this month.
Fain said his cruise line has nearly two-dozen ships back to work in Europe, Asia and now the U.S., too.
For our crew members, it was a literal lifeline after so many months without work, Fain said. For the communities we serve, it represents tourism and jobs after so many months of pain and for our guests, it was a sense of freedom, of escape from the isolation of this terrible period of shutdown, the CEO added.
Last week, Disney completed Port Canaverals first test cruise.

Once the ships begin their procession through the channel and out to sea, people will quickly move to the fence to take the best photos. Do the same.

Parking At The Port Canaveral Cruise Port
If you are driving to the Port Canaveral Cruise Port, the Official Port Canaveral Cruise Parking is the most convenient option available. This official cruise parking is the only area directly adjacent to each of Port Canaverals cruise terminals.
With this option, you can park at your cruise terminals designated parking garage and simply take a short walk to your ship. The current parking rate is $17 per day, including day of arrival and day of departure.
The Port does not own or operate any off-site parking facilities. Though, independent off-site parking lots can be a cheaper option. This will entail taking a shuttle from the lot to the cruise terminal.
One of these options is the GoPort Plaza. Packages start at a flat fee of $55, plus $5 for each additional traveler. For a week-long cruise for two, this would be over 50% savings.
