Of the Big Three cruise companies, the smallest is Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings LTD. Even so, it still owns several lines under its umbrella.

Holland America Line Is A Cruise Line That Travels Around The
Holland America Line was one of Carnivals earliest purchases, as well as one of the companys oldest cruise lines. Holland America Line was founded in 1873, in the late nineteenth century.
The Dutch business ran not just passenger ships but also shipping lines between Europe and the Americas, transporting people and commodities. However, in 1895, Holland America Line began offering holiday cruises, with one of its first voyages taking passengers from New York to Palestine.
Of course, Holland America Line, like many other lines throughout the two World Wars, volunteered to carry military troops in the 1930s and 1940s. However, when transatlantic air travel grew more popular, Holland America Line discontinued its transportation services in favor of cargo shipping, which it did until the 1970s when it was sold. As the Beastie Boys would have it, you have to fightfor your rightto party, and the June Celebrity Edge re-launch out of Fort Lauderdale, Florida the first cruise ship carrying ticketed passengers from a United States port since March of 2020 was just that, a celebration of its victorious battle to reboot the cruising industry.
From the start, the Celebrity Edge cruise had the aura of a grand event: the ship, which can carry slightly over 3,000 guests, sailed with 1,200 passengers. After presenting their COVID-19 vaccination cards, passengers were welcomed with cheers from the crew and escorted to their staterooms, equipped with face masks bearing the Celebrity Cruises logo. The masks were recommended for shore days in Costa Maya, Cozumel, and Nassau.
In the pre-pandemic era, passengers mustered out to crowded assembly stations in life vests, learning about emergency protocols and meeting their fellow passengers. On Celebrity Cruises, the process can be conducted with the help of an app and is virtually free of human contact.
Naturally, the pre-embarkation festivities for the Western Caribbean cruise entailed the inevitable photo-op at Port Everglades, with the Celebrity Edge principals including Captain Kate McCue, the first and only American woman working as a cruise ship captain.
As Fain noted at a press conference during the cruise, “The pandemic once seemed endless. Now, the whole thing seems like a blip.”

Costa Cruises was acquired in 2000, another quick acquisition during Carnival Corporations early days. Costa, like Holland America, has a long and illustrious history dating back to the 1800s. Costa is, in reality, older than Holland America, which was established in 1854.
Costa Cruises Rebrands With New Experiences and a New Logo
Costa Cruises was founded in Italy and was concentrated only on cargo transportation, mainly olives and linens. Costa did not begin passenger travel between Europe and South America until the mid-1900s.

Which Cruise Line Has Better Kids Programs Royal Caribbean Or Celebrity Cruise Line
When it comes to childrens activities, Royal Caribbean gets the nod. Both cruise lines offer childrens programming, but theres a lot more space dedicated to kids programs on Royal Caribbean.
Of course, there are also more kids on Royal Caribbean, so for those kids who thrive in smaller groups, Celebrity might be better.
Both lines offer dedicated space with check in and check out required though Celebrity is more relaxed about it with kids aged 10-12. Both lines have staff trained to work with kids and a schedule of daily activities, including STEM activities for older kids.
Celebrity Cruise Lines does not offer all-day programs, but set programs throughout the day with family programs that engage parents and children throughout the cruise such as a campfire on the lawn.
I, personally, prefer Royal Caribbeans childrens area for its spaciousness, childrens pool areas and general family friendliness.
My daughter, interestingly, said she would have liked Celebrity better because it has programs for parents to do with the kids.
