Royal Caribbean Allure Of The Seas

Cruise ship cleared to leave Port Canaveral

Allure of the Seas will be reunited with her sister ship, Harmony of the Seas in Port Canaveral this coming May. She is considered one of Royal Caribbeans largest ships, accommodating up to 6,780 passengers. Popular among couples and families, Allure of the Seas is considered the most awarded ship to ever exist. Best Individual Ship, Best Large Cruise Ship, and Best for Entertainment are just a few of the titles shes earned over the years.

Some activities you can expect on Allure of the Seas are ziplining, rock climbing, simulated surfing, ice skating, and plenty of drinking since Allure of the Seas is said to have more bars than any other cruise ship. Feel free to also sing your favorite karaoke hits at On Air Club and dont forget to catch a show at the AquaTheaters outdoor pool stage.

With so much to do onboard, leaving the ship may not be your priority. However, youll definitely want to get off at Perfect Day at Coco Cay, which is Royal Caribbeans private island that underwent a $250 million makeover in 2019. Here youll have an opportunity to experience the tallest waterslide in North America, the largest freshwater pool in the Bahamas, and even a 459-foot high helium balloon ride.

When Will Cruises Resume Sailing From Port Canaveral

The first cruise ships to return to service in Port Canaveral are currently scheduled to depart on March 1st, 2021. While its still not certain when cruises will actually resume sailing considering the continued suspensions and Conditional Sailing Certificate requirements, the nationwide distribution of the Pfizer and Moderna Covid-19 vaccines have been a light at the end of the tunnel for the cruise industry.

Many cruisers were eager to board a cruise ship even before a Covid-19 vaccine was introduced, but now industry officials and health authorities have voiced more confidence in resuming service with vaccines being administered across the country. The CDC indicated that vaccinations paired with the other preventative measures cruise lines will be implementing including Covid-19 testing, wearing face masks, frequent hand washing, social distancing, restricted excursions, and enhanced cleaning protocols can be an effective strategy to mitigate the risk of transmitting the virus. CLIA, the Cruise Lines International Association, also stands by a multilayered approach to reducing the risk of virus transmission onboard with the combination of testing as well as vaccination. Overall, industry experts are looking forward to restarting travel again and believe the vaccine will have a huge impact in returning to cruising safely.

ORLANDO The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention opened the door for cruises to begin again for Carnival Cruise Line out of Port Canaveral, Miami and Galveston.

The cruise line announced the decision Friday that will allow it to sail ships from the three ports on test sailings with volunteer passengers to prove out COVID-19 safety protocols.

These agreements move us one step closer to sailing with our loyal guests, said Lars Ljoen, executive vice president and chief maritime officer for Carnival Cruise Line in a press release. We appreciate the support from not just these three homeport partners, but all of our homeports, that are eager to have us back as soon as possible.

While the cruise line had previously announced its intentions to sail two ships, Carnival Vista and Carnival Breeze, from Galveston and one ship, Carnival Horizon, from PortMiami, it has yet to announce which of its ships it intends to first use from the Space Coast port.

This is the exciting news that we have been waiting for, stated Port Canaveral CEO Capt. John Murray. A tremendous amount of cooperative effort went into these agreements as we worked closely with our partner Carnival Cruise Line. This is a monumental step to getting the cruise industry up and running once again.

Major Cdc Rule Changes Coming To Cruise Ships

World’s largest cruise ship departs Port Canaveral

Yesterday, the CDC extended its Conditional Sailing Order that lays out the requirements cruise ships must follow in order to return to sailing during the pandemic. The order was set to expire November 1, but will now be in place until January 15.

However, this move wasnt just a rubber stamp of the previous order. Along with the extension came a number of major changes to the rules surrounding cruising.

Going forward, cruise lines will still have plenty of hurdles they have to meet to continue sailing with the CDCs blessing. There are a number of standards, however, that have been adjusted or relaxed, making it easier to sail.

Some of the worlds biggest cruise lines in recent weeks have finally begun announcing concrete plans to restart sailings out of U.S. ports.

MSC Cruises, for instance, on Monday said it would resume departures out of Miami on Aug. 2. The announcement came just hours after Carnival Cruise Line said it would restart cruises out of Galveston, Texas, on July 3. Silversea, Celebrity Cruises, Royal Caribbean, Norwegian Cruise Line, Princess Cruises and Holland America also have been revealing restart plans.

Still, even as they gear up for a U.S. restart, cruise lines are saying they only will operate a few ships out of U.S. ports at first. The plan at least for now is to bring additional ships into operation gradually over many months.

So, which cruise ships, specifically, will be restarting operations out of U.S. ports in the coming months and from which specific ports?

In the continuously updated guide below, we list every comeback cruise itinerary out of a U.S. port that has been announced so far for the summer months of June, July, August and September by a major, big-ship line, sorted first by home port and then line.

Cruise ship leaving out

Business isnt booming yet for cruise lines out of Florida, but its not dead silent either like it has been for the last 15 months.

This past Saturday marked a milestone in the cruise industry as Celebrity Edge sailed from Port Everglades to mark the first revenue sailing of any major cruise line from a U.S. port since March 2020.

Its the first domino of a lineup set to follow suit in the next two months out of the states big three embarkation points PortMiami, Port Canaveral and Port Everglades as at least another dozen vessels from the likes of Carnival Cruise Line, Royal Caribbean, Norwegian Cruise Line, MSC Cruises and possibly Disney Cruise Line get underway.

The early action, though is mainly from South Florida while Port Canaverals first revenue sailing isnt until July 31 when Carnivals new ship Mardi Gras is set to debut.

The children are an issue, said Port Canaveral CEO Capt. John Murray at a port commission meeting Wednesday. Were a family port and thats one of the reasons were probably starting a little bit later than the other ports, because we are so family-oriented. Its going to be very difficult for some of our brands here to operate under a fully vaccinated ship.

At Orlando International Airport

If you will be arriving at the Orlando airport the day before your cruise , you might want to consider spending the night before your cruise at Hyatt Regency Orlando Airport.

The Hyatt is an upscale hotel that is actually located in the airport terminal, so you dont have to worry about traveling any further. Just collect your bags, take them up on the elevator, check in and youre ready to start enjoying your vacation! Or, if you prefer, take advantage of their luggage retrieval service for a small flat fee , Hyatt staff will retrieve your luggage from baggage claim and deliver it to your room.

If you stay at the airport Hyatt instead of going all the way out to Walt Disney World, you are much closer to Port Canaveral. That means you can sleep in a little longer before heading off to the ship in the morning. You can choose from multiple dining options within the airport, or take a swim at the hotel. Its great way to start relaxing right away.

The Hyatt has a relationship with Disney, so you can arrange Disney bus transportation to the ship from the hotel . If you arrange your transportation through Disney, your luggage is transported directly to your stateroom on the ship. Talk about convenient!
