Notwithstanding any public health restrictions that may be implemented from time to time, all travellers abiding by these new protocols will be permitted to move about and explore the beauty and vibrant culture of The Bahamas beyond the confines of their hotel or other accommodations.
Conditions and instances of the virus can be different on each of the 16 islands available to welcome visitors, which may lead to increased restrictions for businesses, restaurants, beaches and attractions.

When do I have to wear a face mask?
- All travellers must wear a face mask in any situation where it is necessary to enforce physical distancing guidelines, such as:
- When entering and transiting air and sea terminals
- During security and customs screenings
- At baggage claim
Upon Arrival: Unvaccinated Travellers
Do I need to quarantine upon arrival in The Bahamas?
- No, there are currently no quarantine requirements for those travelling with approved Bahamas Travel Health Visas.
Can I travel to every island in The Bahamas?
- All islands in The Bahamas are open to international and domestic arrivals, including commercial and private aircraft, as well as private yachts and pleasure crafts.
- From time to time, the Government of The Bahamas may restrict travel into or out of certain islands.
- Travellers should check the status of their island destination before travelling above.
Are there additional testing or monitoring requirements for unvaccinated travellers on island?
- All visitors departing on or before Day 5 will not be required to obtain this test.
- The day of arrival is considered Day 1 of a persons stay.
How Much Money To Bring To All
My husband and I will be staying at the Sandals Royal Bahamian the week before Thanksigiving for a wedding. This is our first all-inclusive, so we are not sure how much spending money we should bring along. It also happens to be my birthday the day after the wedding! Thank you.
you can always store a wad of cash in your room safe and use it daily as your no charge persona ATM.
Most USA bank cr. card companies charge a transaction fee for all purchases made out of the USA. That’s what I always do and never had a problem and saved $$.
You’re going to need tip money for the shuttle to / from the airport. Once you are at the resort, you have already tipped. Part of what you paid goes into a gratuity pool which is shared among not only those who are front-line but also those behind the scenes. They can be fired for excepting tips, so please don’t put their jobs in jeopardy. The exception would be spa and butlers who don’t provide service to the general population of guests so they get no cut of the gratuity pool. If you don’t go to the spa or stay in a butler level room, leave your money in your safe and forget about it.
Some AI’s charge for specialty drinks or for special menu items at the restaurants or even charge if you want to go to a certain restaurant, but Sandals does not. There is a manager’s wine list that costs extra, but we have always been fine with the wines that are included .
