What Does The Premium Drinks Package Cost And Include
The premium package provides all the benefits of our Premium soft drinks package. Plus beer, spirits, cocktails and wines by the glass up to $15 per serving. There is a full list here.
This will include some upgraded cocktail and brands of spirits including gin and martinis. Plus, an increased discount of 20% on all wines by the bottle purchased on board, for $69.00 per person, per day.
The Benefit Of All Inclusive Cruises
Some cruise lines attract with low price offers, but it rarely stays at the original cruise price. Enormous additional costs such as gratuities or drink prices mean that you have to pay constantly and its often hard to remember at the end of your trip, what you have actually spent on your trip. To avoid the nasty surprise and to give you a completely carefree holiday, many cruise lines offer all inclusive cruises. The biggest costs are already included in the price, like drinks, tips and food. Depending on the cruise line, the included services vary, but all fulfill their purpose of showing a transparent cruise price. With the resumption of ship operations, the tour price includes:

No rule without exception! Celebrity Cruises reserves upgrade options. The upgrades provide the following additional benefits.
- ELEVATE option: The shipping company recommends this package to guests who expect services that go beyond the new standard. It includes unlimited premium drinks and excursions worth up to $ 200.
- INDULGE option Indulge stands in English u. a. for pampering. The Celebrity Pampering Program includes all the benefits of the ELEVATE option, plus unlimited internet streaming services and onboard credits up to $ 400 per person.
- Benefits for retreat guests In addition to the booked services, guests in the suite category The Retreat receive the INDULGE package at no extra charge.
Galapagos voyages are exempt from these regulations. It should be clear that Celebrity Cruises guests have to accept higher prices for the additional services. The company is silent about the expected price increases.
Whats Included In A Cruise
Every cruise includes accommodation, meals, entertainment and on-board activities. Drinks such as water, squash, tea and coffee are also included free of charge. Other drinks can either be purchased individually using your cruise card, or you can pre-book a drinks package offering unlimited drinks.
If youre starting your cruise from a port outside of the UK, it makes sense to have a travel agent such as ourselves book your flights and transfers the same time booking your cruise. As well as getting you the best package deal, this also gives you ATOL protection, should anything happen.

Is It Worth It To Upgrade Celebrity Cruises Always Included Package
The decision on whether you should upgrade your Celebrity Cruises Always Included package to either the Elevate or Indulge packages depends on your cruising preferences.
For us, we always purchase the Premium Beverage Package with Celebrity Cruises as we enjoy all the martinis and specialty cocktails around the ships. This means we could either pay $12 per day for just the drink package upgrade, vs. $30 per day for the upgraded drink package and $150 of credit, vs. $60 per day for the upgraded drink package, WiFi, and $300 credit.
If you run the numbers, paying for just the drink package upgrade is $84 per person for a 7-day cruise. The Elevate upgrade is $210, making it an added cost of $126 to receive the $150 shore excursion credit.
Likewise, paying for the drink package and WiFi upgrades separately is $32 per day or $224 per person for a 7-day cruise. The Indulge upgrade is $420, making it an added cost of $196 to receive the $300 onboard credit.
Thus, it really comes down to what upgrades you need and whether you will use all the credit provided.
Personally, we chose to upgrade our beverage package and WiFi package individually for our recent cruise on Celebrity Edge.

Celebrity Cruises Always Included Package Inclusions
Classic Beverage Package
The Always Included cruise fare now includes unlimited classic cocktails, beer, and wine. Additional non-alcoholic drink inclusions are soda, specialty coffee and tea, juices, and bottled water. These are the typical Classic beverage package options which are up to $9 in price .
Guests can upgrade from this complimentary Classic Beverage Package to the Premium Beverage Package. This upgrade charge is $12 per person, per day which includes the beverage gratuity. Guests may only purchase this beverage upgrade after final payment. This can be done online via the Cruise Planner or once onboard the ship.
The Premium Beverage Package includes all beers, wines, cocktails, and specialty top shelf liquor priced at $15 or less. At most bars onboard, you will be hard-pressed to find a drink that is not covered in this package .

Surf WiFi
The second included perk is basic WiFi. This Surf internet plan is capable of surfing, email, and social media. This perk is for all guests in the same stateroom and is unlimited for the duration of the cruise.
However, this now complimentary WiFi does not include streaming or use of technologies such as FaceTime.
Much like the drink package, guests can upgrade the internet package from Surf WiFi to Stream WiFi. This package allows for messaging and video chat. You can also post on social media, go live, and stream your favorite videos, movies, and music.

Celebrity Cruises Launching All
Celebrity Cruises will start selling its cruises with an all-inclusive fare called Always Included that will offer a lot more in the price point, the line announced on Tuesday.
Starting on Nov. 17, all of Celebrity Cruises’ fares will include unlimited drinks unlimited WiFi and daily gratuities. The move comes as Celebrity shifts towards a new luxury culture with the launch of its Edge Series ships, President and CEO Lisa Lutoff-Perlo said in a statement.
Today, nothing is more luxurious than when things are extra simple and extra special. We wanted to bring that big wonderful feeling of everything is taken care of to life for our guests, she said.
Aside from the Always Included fare, Celebrity is also offering two upgraded packagesthe first, called Elevate, includes unlimited premium drinks and shore excursions up to $200 per person the second, called Indulge, includes all of that along with a step up to unlimited streaming WiFi and up to $400 per person in onboard credit.
Celebrity guests staying in The Retreat, its ship-within-a-ship concept, will be given the Indulge package.
What Is Not Included In Your Cruise Fare
While cruises do provide a great value, not everything will be covered in the cruise fare.
Your cruise ship will transport you to several exciting ports of call. Unfortunately, Celebrity Cruises does not include any shore excursions as part of the base fare.
These tours and additional experiences are available through the cruise line or through third party retailers at additional costs. Shore excursions can range from $25 a person for a group walking tour to several hundreds of dollars for private tours or unique experiences.
While there are several included activities and entertainment, several ships offer additional classes and seminars that cost an up-charge. These include mixology demonstrations, food and wine pairings, hot glass classes, and more. The costs for these optional experiences are $25 or more per person.
All ships also offer a Spa providing a variety of services for additional costs. Guests can book these experiences, such as massages or salon services, pre-cruise or while onboard the ship.
Many ships also have a thermal suite. This area includes a selection of relaxing experiences such as saunas, therapeutic pools, and heated loungers. Cruisers staying in Aqua Class suites will have unlimited access to the ships thermal suite. However, other cruisers will have to purchase a pass.

Will Royal Caribbean Do The Same
Including popular add-ons such as tips, a drink package and wifi is something that sounds appealing to Royal Caribbean cruise fans who would also like a simplified approach to cruise pricing.
Traditionally, Royal Caribbean’s promotions tend to favor giving guests a discount on the cruise fare, and then allowing guests to add-on things like a drink package or wifi if they want it.
Prior to Always Included, Celebrity Cruises tended to offer promotions that offered cruise add-ons for free, while not touching the cruise fare.
In addition, Celebrity Cruises is usually grouped with other premium cruise lines, such as Princess or Holland America, whereas Royal Caribbean is a contemporary cruise line and tends to be grouped with Carnival and Norwegian.
Meanwhile, gratuities have been part of Royal Caribbean’s cruise pricing in Australia for a few years because of the different customs surrounding tipping in that part of the world.
What has been traditionally done may be a moot point, because since the cruise industry shutdown earlier this year, we have seen plenty of offers that were unprecedented prior to the shutdown, such as double Crown and Anchor Society points for all 2021 cruises and unprecedented flexibility in cancelling cruises.
Royal Caribbean Group has posted billion dollar loses the last few quarters, which means getting revenue flowing again is a major priority. Thus, anything is possible.

Are The Celebrity Cruises Packages Worth The Money
If you look at the menus below you will be able to work out if the packages are good value for you.
As a rough example
- Wine $9 a glass x 3 with dinner = $27
- Soft drinks $3 a glass x3 = $9
- Bottle of water $3 x 4 = $12
- cocktails x2 = $18
- Speciality coffee $6 x3 = $18
A grand total of $84.00 and thats working on the classic drinks package prices. When we have this conversation with people they always rank the drink package value against the amount of alcoholic drinks they drink. However it makes sense to also factor in speciality coffees, soft drinks and water if you intend to drink those too.

When travel collapsed, one of the first things that happened was the airlines stopped playing some of their petty pricing games with customers.
Suddenly, when they realized they needed us, airlines wanted to be our friends. Cancellation fees were dropped. Then change fees went out the window.
Now that the cruise lines are gearing up to restart vacations in the United States, it’s cruising’s turn to play nice.
Celebrity Cruises has announced that when it returns to service, all passengers will automatically be enrolled in the new “Always Included” program. Beginning November 17, two Wi-Fi logins per stateroom, both alcoholic and nonalcholoic beverages, and gratuities will be part of everyone’s standard cruise fare. Normally, all those things are charged separately.
The standard package entitles passengers to basic Wi-Fi and “classic cocktails, wines by the glass, beer, sodas, specialty coffees and teas, juices and bottled water,” according to the official FAQ. Here, “classic” pretty much means no top-shelf booze. The Celebrity website goes into detail about which kinds of alcohol are included it’s a decent list that would satisfy the general public.
Connoisseurs can pay another $30 a day for the Elevate add-on that buys them more bandwidth for streaming video and access to the premium hooch.
