The Royal Caribbean Adventure of the Seas is home to the Flowrider artificial surf wave, an exclusive of Royal Caribbean. In addition, experience rare attractions like an ice skating rink and a roller skating rink.

Bermuda To Be Impacted

Hurricane Fiona is likely to make a slight eastern turn late Wednesday or early Thursday, putting Bermuda quite central to the storms predicted path. If the storm remains on its predicted track and at forecasted speeds, it will reach its closest approach to Bermuda early Friday morning, September 23.

The Breakaway-class Norwegian Getaway is scheduled to visit Bermuda on Saturday, September 24. The storm is forecast to be moving much more quickly at that time, however, and may be far from Bermuda at the scheduled port of call time.

Whether or not Norwegian Getaway changes its visit times or drops the call altogether will depend on how the storm behaves in the coming days, and any damage that may occur at port facilities.

No other ships are scheduled for Bermuda in the coming days while the storm is a concern.

Stay tuned to Cruise Hive for further updates on Hurricane Fiona and the storms impact on cruise travel and ports of call, as well as any other storms that develop.

Nights In The Bahamas

Royal Caribbean International also offers a wonderful 7 night trip to the Bahamas aboard the Adventure of the Seas. The Bahamas offer a classic vacation-destination which we highly suggest for anyone who loves warm sand, beach chairs, and drinks with umbrellas in them. This is one of the best overall Caribbean cruises from Bayonne, NJ. As with many destinations in this region, hurricanes are a real thing each year. Purchasing travel insurance can protect your trip investment if something unexpected were to ruin your travel plans.

The Big Apple can be reached by the PATH subway system, the bus system, or the Staten Island Ferry. NYC has so much to offer that you certainly wont be able to fit it all in one day. If you want a quick overview of the major attractions and some great photo opportunities, we suggest a sightseeing tour on one of the many hop on hop off bus tours. We took one of these tours last year during one of our trips to the city. With the flexibility of hopping on and off at multiple locations and different route options, you can choose to simply stay on the bus or customize the experience as much as you like. If you will be arriving later in the day, NYC also offers an extensive night life with plenty of bars, restaurants, and experiences. We suggest trying to take in a Broadway show.

For a longer stay, this time in the Southern Caribbean and with a stop in Bermuda climb aboard the Anthem of the Seas. This trip is for those in need of extreme relaxation only! The Anthem is truly a fan-favorite and one of the most fun cruises out of New Jersey, it includes more restaurants, bars, and sources of entertainment than just about any other ship under the sun.

Check Out The Views From Liberty State Park

Bermuda Celebrity COMP Cruises From Bayonne 2022!

Located in Jersey City, Liberty State Park offers some spectacular views of the NYC skyline and Hudson River. From here you can grab photos of the Freedom Tower, Ellis Island, the Statue of Liberty, and the Verrazano Narrows Bridge. That is why it makes our list of the best things to do near Cape Liberty. This state park houses a 2-mile riverwalk with the historic Central Railroad of NJ Terminal located at the northern end , the Empty Sky 9/11 Memorial, and ferry service to Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty.

If you have the time, definitely take the trip over to see the Statue of Liberty. This universal symbol of freedom was given to the United States in 1886 by France. Statue Cruises are available to both Liberty Island and Ellis Island, home of the Immigration Museum. It is recommended that you purchase tickets in advance especially if you are looking for pedestal or crown access at the Statue of Liberty. Of note, tickets for crown access should be purchased 3-6 months in advance. Also, you should arrive early as you will need to pass through airport level security before boarding the ferry.

Flying To New York/new Jersey

There are three major airports serving the New York/New Jersey area: Newark , La Guardia , and John F. Kennedy International Airports.

The easiest option is Newark, because it is located just 10 miles to the west of the port. Without traffic, it is a short 20 minute car ride to the cruise port.

The other New York airports will require a longer commute to the port, as well as additional tolls to cross bridges over to New Jersey. Depending on traffic conditions, the trip can take an hour or longer.

The simplest way to get to the port is by car service. Lyft, Uber, or taxis are all available to take you from any of the airports to the cruise terminal.

Public transportation will only get you part of the way there, and the final segment of the trip will rely on private car. For that reason, I recommend simply booking a ride sharing service or taxi, and going directly to the port.
