Towards the sunset time of the first day, we enjoyed a happy hour and sunset party on the yachts top deck. Unfortunately, there was no sunset, but Lan Ha Bay is stunning either way! We experienced that perfect movie setting: laying on the sunbeds with some mocktails and jazz music playing in the background, snacking on some fruit and nuts while enjoying one of the most stunning landscapes in the world. Can it get any better than that?

What to bring, things to pack for Halong Bay medicine and toiletries. Bring your own medicines and toiletries!After a whole day of exploring and playing, it is time to clean up and prepare for a beautiful night. However, many cruises do not provide shampoo or toothpaste. A few do supply but with unknown brand names. If you have ever stayed in a typical Vietnamese hotel, you must have countered a small green container of toothpaste which smell and taste really weird. Therefore, I definitely recommend packing your own toiletries for your trip. If you have sea sickness, allergies or respiratory disease but still want to witness the magnificence of Halong Bay, medical supplies are definitely what you must pack for Halong Bay cruises. You cannot easily go to a hospital while in the middle of the sea, and it would take much time to get back to the port.

We thought the night was finished after dinner when they told us that we could go downstairs and play poker and sing karaoke . We joined the poker table and, as expected, lost all our money very soon. Jokes aside, we played just for fun, not for money. And unfortunately, Matej didnt let Arijana show off her singing skills, so we cant talk about the karaoke experience.
Some people tried their skills in squid fishing which they then got prepared for breakfast the next day, and theres also a gym and spa on board.

Every Halong Bay cruise itinerary always begins at the same time in the morning on the first day. The guide will pick you up at your hotel at around 8 oclock to take you on the 3 to 4-hour long ride from Hanoi to the quayside at Halong. The journey is 170 km and there will be a short break of about 30 minutes in Hai Duong Province. It is an interesting trip through some of Vietnams beautiful countryside, with lush green paddy fields, romantic rivers, and imposing mountains.
