Royal Caribbean International’s minimum age to sail unaccompanied on sailings originating in North America is twenty-one . The minimum age to sail unaccompanied on sailings from South America, Europe, Asia, Australia and New Zealand is eighteen .
Royal Caribbean retains the right, on rare occasions, to raise the minimum age to sail unaccompanied on any sailing when local laws require or permit such a modification.
For voyages originating in North America:No Guest younger than the age twenty-one will be assigned to a stateroom unless accompanied in the same stateroom by an adult twenty-one years old or older. A guest’s age is established upon the first date of sailing.
This age limit will be waived for children sailing with their parents or guardians in connecting staterooms for underage married couples and for active duty members of the United States or Canadian military.
Certain other restrictions and conditions will apply such as compliance with the age twenty-one alcohol policy, and proof of marriage for underage couples or proof of active duty military status required.

Royal Caribbean Group Cancels All Port Stops In Russia For Summer 2022
Celebrity Cruises confirmed it would remove St Petersburg from all Summer 2022 itineraries and seek alternative ports in Sweden.
“With the safety of our guests and crew always our top priority, we are removing St. Petersburg, Russia from upcoming itineraries, due to the current situation in Ukraine,” a statement read.
“We are notifying our guests and travel partners of this decision and our new plans to visit additional Scandinavian ports in its place. Our thoughts are with all who are impacted by this conflict.”
Celebrity Silhouette is due into St. Petersburg on May 20.

Carnival Corp Cancels All Russia Port Stops

Chairman Micky Arison released the following statement via Twitter over the weekend: “We are in the process of securing alternate itineraries for our cruise ships before announcing our future plans. We will be advising our guests and travel partners shortly as plans become finalized.”
Princess Cruises has the first big ship in to St Petersburg on April 29, . The line has announced that on all 24 calls in St. Petersburg will be replaced with other ports, which vary by itinerary, ranging from an overnight in Stockholm, and calls in Visby, Sweden and Gdansk, Poland.
Holland America Line is modifying itineraries for six cruises that were scheduled to visit Russian ports this year.
The stops will vary, the company said, with five sailings that would have visited St. Petersburg instead calling on Baltic ports such as Riga, Latvia Klaipeda, Lithuania and Visby, Sweden. And an overnight stay will be added in Stockholm.
Its cruise that was scheduled to visit Vladivostok, Russia, will instead visit Busan, South Korea.
“We stand for peace, and our thoughts are with those who are in harm’s way,” the company said in a news release.
When Is The Casino Open On A Cruise

The Choice To Cancel Or Not Can Be Personal
Cruzely.com founder Tanner Callais told USA TODAY he thinks the decision is personal and based on one’s “risk tolerance.”
“Assuming you are otherwise healthy, then you may think it is fine to sail,” he continued. “There are risks, but we’ve seen that there are risks in any group of people, be it in a restaurant, theme park, or stadium. If you plan to be in close interaction with others, then cruises have the strongest requirements of any group setting I can think of.”
But, he added, others may want to cancel if they have underlying conditions, are unvaccinated or are in contact with others who may be at risk.
“Personally, I’ve taken several cruises since they’ve returned, but I’m holding off on sailing for a month or two until things have calmed down,” Callais said. “With daily contact with a family member that has health issues, I think there’s no harm in putting off travel until cases fall.”
The CDC advises people who are not fully vaccinated against COVID-19 to avoid cruise travel and advises travelers to get a booster shot if eligible, Daigle said.

Atlas Ocean Voyages will skip St. Petersburg for alternative ports in Finland and Estonia this summer.
“With unrest in Eastern Europe, we have adjusted our voyages,” President Alberto Aliberti said in a statement. “Guests will enjoy these unique and rarely visited destinations and immersive shore excursions to take in the rich cultures and breathtaking vistas of the Baltic.”
The adjusted itineraries are: The Hamburg-to-Kiel itinerary, departing August 26, 2022, and Kiel-roundtrip itineraries, departing September 7, will drop St. Petersburg, Russia and now call at Kotka and Mariehamn, Finland.

Windstar Cruises has cancelled two itinerarises this sumemr with Russia port calls in the Black Sea and will replace St. Petersburg on its five Baltic cruises with a non-Russian port.

Security may inspect containers and will dispose of containers holding alcohol.
