What Is Included In Concierge Class On Celebrity Cruises

Don't Miss

Expanded Room Service Menu

Celebrity Edge Concierge Class with Infinite Veranda

Celebrity already has a stellar room service menu, which not only includes hot items on their breakfast menu, but is also complimentary.

However, the expanded breakfast menu for Aqua Class guests was even better!

It had extra items, especially hot ones, that really covered every breakfast base.

I have to be honest here. We didnt have breakfast outside of the room ONCE on the entire 14 day trip. Even though we knew breakfast was fabulous in Blu, the Aqua room service menu was really perfect for what we wanted in the morning.

This is the Aqua Class expanded breakfast room service door hanger. Such good stuff on here!

Embarkation Day Lunch And Priority Dining Time Selection

Concierge Class guests are invited to a semi-exclusive lunch in the MDR on embarkation day, which means they can avoid the crowded buffet at the Oceanview Cafe.

Since Blu doesnt serve lunch, AquaClass guests will need to visit the buffet or another one of the dining venues for lunch.

Concierge Class guests also receive priority when selecting dining times in both the MDR and specialty restaurants, although AquaClass guests have exclusive access to Blu, which does not require reservations.

Enhanced Room Service Breakfast Menu

You will have access to slightly-expanded breakfast options when using room service versus those traveling in cabins without balconies. This includes:

  • More cooked-to-order egg options:
  • blueberry-watermelon
  • Omega 3
  • Ordering room service between 11pm and 6am still incurs a $4.95 charge, which is only waived for guests staying in suites.

So Is Aqua Class Worth It

Personally, I think Aqua class is worth the price, as long as it still fits into your cruise budget. Now that I have cruised Aqua, I cant imagine not having access to Blu, daily canapes, daily iced-tea, and the priority boarding. It really made the trip seem even more luxurious than it already was, plus it saved me money in extras!

I think if the cost for Aqua is at par or even up to $800-ish more to Veranda or Concierge, I would always choose to book it.

    Live Music Bars & Lounges

    Quasar

From Latin and jazz to Ibiza anthems and classic quartets, youre in for a treat if you love live music. All of Celebrity Cruises lounge bars and nightclubs are included on a cruise, and theres live nightly entertainment to enjoy in every corner of the ship.

Soak up the sounds of a live guitarist at the Sunset Bar. Test out your karaoke chops at Quasar nightclub. Enjoy DJs and late-night dancing at Sky Observation Lounge. Lose your inhibitions at the famous Silent Disco and feel real grass between your toes at The Lawn Club, a chic spot for live music with regular concerts, on Celebritys Solstice-series ships.

    Aqua Course And Concierge Course

In addition to suites, Celebrity also offers special amenities for certain balcony rooms that offer suite-like amenities without the suite price.

Concierge Class and Aqua Class are balcony cabins that offer a bit more space than a regular balcony room and include additional perks.

Here is what Aqua class includes:

    • Priority boarding and early disembarkation
    • Shoe shine service
    • A personal spa concierge to organize Canyon Ranch SpaClub treatments
    • Binoculars included
    • 24 hour room service
    • Pillow menu
    • Blu Restaurant for breakfast and dinner
    • Welcome cans
    • Flavored iced tea every day in a carafe
    • Location near the spa
    • Unlimited access to Persian Gardens and SEA Thermal
    • Spa concierge
    • VIP visit of the SPA on the day of boarding
    • 10% discount on spa treatments
    • Two yoga mats on Edge class ships and revolutionized ships
    • Daily canapes
    • Binoculars included
    • 24 hour room service
    • Exclusive lunch on the day of embarkation
    • Pillow menu
    • Daily canapes

The other factor in choosing between the Concierge class and the Aqua class is that many frequent cruisers say that the Concierge rooms have a more desirable location for their cabin on the ship compared to the Aqua class.

Ultimately, the decision can come down to whether you want additional spa perks and want to dine in a private restaurant instead of the main dining room , or if youd rather get a better cabin location. and other additional benefits .

Concierge Class 1007 Celebrity Equinox Cabin Tour

Celebrity Cruises offers AquaClass staterooms on its ships, which is one step above Concierge Class staterooms, and two steps above the entry-level veranda cabins. There is no appreciable difference in cabin or balcony sizes for any of these categories.

On Edge-class ships, the balcony may be an Infinite Veranda, which is essentially a large floor-to-ceiling exterior window where the top half of the window can slide open to create a balcony. The window is accessible through a pair of folding glass doors in the cabin.

AquaClass staterooms are generally considered the highest level of accommodation on Celebrity Cruises, short of suites.

Cruise Review: Celebrity Equinox Concierge Class

Posted by The Flight Detective | Sep 12, 2016 | Cruises, Reviews and Reports | 6

Concierge Class. Which airline has that? What our Flight Detective travelling by sea? Days of travel versus hours? What is the world coming to?

Friends of mine invited me to join them on a Mediterranean Cruise and not just any cruise either. This was an Atlantis cruise on Celebrity Equinox. While this was to be my first cruise, I had been on an ocean liner before. In 2008 I made a quick dash across the Atlantic from New York to Southampton on Queen Elizabeth 2 of the Cunard Line on one of her last transatlantic crossings. That formal voyage on a ship built in the 1960s was a far cry from what I experienced in August 2016 on Celebrity Equinox.

Celebrity Equinox is a Solstice-class cruise ship with a capacity of 2,850 passengers and this review will focus on Concierge Class. I will be writing two more posts about my Atlantis cruise this week.

    Concierge Class

Concierge Class is the second highest class on Celebrity Cruises before the suites. The staterooms are as follows in order from lowest to highest Interior, Ocean View, Deluxe Balcony, Concierge Class and Aqua Class. Above that are the suites Sky Suite, Celebrity Suite, Royal Suite and Penthouse Suite. Concierge Class offers some extra amenities over the other classes. The one that caught my eye was daily delivery of afternoon canapés and I had visions of inviting my friends to my stateroom for canapés before continuing the evening.

What Time Is The Concierge Class Lunch

Upon arrival, guests of the Concierge Class will receive an in-room welcome letter detailing the date, time, and location of the luncheon. Youll have your pick of dining options in the Main Restaurant onboard the ship.

While theres no shortage of dining choices available throughout the ship, at the Concierge Class Luncheon, youll find a more intimate setting where you can meet and mingle with fellow cruisers. Get to know your stateroom neighbors and new friends alike.

In addition to its famous outdoor Lawn Club on the top deck, the Celebrity Solstice cruise ship has gorgeous dining venues, lounges and bars, and common areas, and its accommodations are top notch. The ship’s cabins are about 15 percent larger than Celebrity ships in other classes, and they come equipped with plenty of storage space, digital in-stateroom entertainment, and upscale baths.

The 1,426 Celebrity Solstice cabins come in 11 different categories and range in size from 183 to 1,291 square feet. Add a giant veranda to the largest penthouse suite and you have a 1,676-square-foot space.

The 130 AquaClass cabins are on the spa deck and are the same size and configuration as the deluxe ocean view veranda cabins. But these cabins come with nicer amenities and extra features that should make them attractive to those looking fora more upscale cruising experience.

Is It Worth Paying Up For A Room With Lounge Access

As noted, a few lines such as Royal Caribbean welcome top-tier members of their loyalty programs into private lounges at no charge. But, in many cases, youll only get access to a shipboard lounge if youve paid a premium to stay in a top suite or special concierge-level cabin.

Is it worth paying up for such a room? That depends on how much you value the perks that come with lounge access. Youll also want to factor in other amenities that often come with upgraded rooms, such as butler service, early boarding privileges and reserved seats at shows.

The quality of the specific room should be a factor, too, of course probably the most important factor. If youre booking a suite on a ship that comes with lounge access, the lounge access itself is probably not the biggest draw for you. Youre probably more interested in the comfort and pampering that comes with that bigger suite.

As TPGs director of travel content, Summer Hull, recently noted after testing a concierge-level cabin on a Disney ship, the perks of a concierge-level cabin often go way beyond access to a private lounge. On Disney ships, the perks include early access to the ship on boarding days, and early access to the best reservation times for spa treatments, onboard tastings, premium restaurant tables and excursions. Concierge-level passengers on Disney ships also get priority access to ship-to-shore tender boats.
