Check Engine Light Traction Control Light And Cruse Control

Will Installing A Reverse Camera On The Subaru Outback Affect The Cruise And Abs Control Since They Operate On The Same Fuse
The cruise control and ABS should continue working fine if the camera is connected through the reversing bulb wire. That is because it is drawing only a negligible amperage since it is just a signal wire. The bulb wire should not power the camera as it is meant just for communicating that the vehicle is in reverse.

Cruise Control And Break Issues
So got my wrangler finally yesterday and just a couple of small things I noticed.1. Keyless entry doesnt work Think I may just try to reset with the door.2. Cruise Control doesnt work3. Brake light always on but no problem with actual break.Any suggestions or similar issues with some of these things?

willbslippen said:Dealership checked it out and found that some of the problems were because that feature was disabled assuming for dealership use. They reset the computer and everything seems to work fine now. So that good to know that no mechanical issues just computer and reset to enable those features.

Starting in 2005 Subaru commanded the Cruise light to flash as well as disabling the cruise control to get your attention. As long as the light is on steady and there is no apparent change in the way your Subaru is performing its most likely ok to drive however we suggest contacting us through email at or if you prefer calling us 425 828 3600 and trying to get it in as soon as you can. If the check engine light were to begin flashing that is an indication that the engine is misfiring and really should not be driven and rather should be towed to our repair facility. Can I Reset Cel By Disconnecting The Battery
You may have been told to disconnect the battery negative terminal to turn off the Subaru check engine light for a few minutes.
While this procedure will turn off your Subaru check engine light, it is not recommended because it clears codes that help diagnostics.
Also, disconnecting the battery does not fix the problem. Sure your check engine light will reset, but if no codes are still active, the light will reset within two to three daysno need to disconnect the battery.
Also, remember that your Subaru check engine light will return if the problem hasnt been fixed. If you recently disconnected the battery or cleared the codes with an OBD2 scanner, you will not pass a state emission test. Fix the underlying problem, then drive the car for a few days before taking your Subaru for a smog test.

Adaptive Cruise Control Problem Of The 2011 Jeep Wrangler
While travelling country road cruising at approximately 65 mph the message indicator went ding and the check engine light began flashing. I turned on flashers, slowed down and found a commercial driveway into which I could exit and stop off roadway. After turning off ignition I immediately raised the hood and found active fire to the rear of the intake manifold and forward of the firewall where the wiring harness is located. I instructed my passenger to immediately exit the vehicle. I had bottles of drinking water with us so I took three or four bottles of water and extinguished the flames from both sides of the upper engine. The flames were immediately extinguished indicating no presence of petroleum products fueling the flames. After ensuring that fire was fully extinguished I called a local towing service to come pick us up and drop the Jeep at a local napa repair shop. Shop located and ordered a new wiring harness as opposed to trying to repair existing harness. May file a claim with auto insurance after repairs are made.
