Although 2021 cruises may look quite different due to the ongoing pandemic, Disney is planning a huge return to sailing in 2022. The fleetâs first Triton Class cruise ship, the Disney Wish, will take her maiden voyage in June 2022.
This all-new luxury liner features a first-of-its-kind Star Wars Hyperspace Lounge, a Toy Story splash pad just for kids, and incredible Frozen and dining experiences for the whole family!
The Wish will be the fifth ship in the DCL fleet, joining the Disney Dream, the Disney Fantasy, the Disney Magic, and the Disney Wonder. She will be based in Port Canaveral.

The Wish Will Include Another New Restaurant Called 1923 Where Guests Can Enjoy A Meal Surrounded By Hundreds Of Disney Artifacts
Named for the year that The Walt Disney Company was founded, the 1923 restaurant celebrates the golden age of Hollywood and the magic of Disney animation.
Weiss said that the restaurant will house 900 props, maquettes, film cells, hand sketches, models, and other relics from Disney’s history.
“Guests will reside in this high-style Hollywood grand environment, but they will be surrounded by the instruments, the tools, and the history of The Walt Disney Studio,” Weiss said.
According to Disney, the 1923 menu will include Asian, European, and South American-inspired flavors.

New Disney Private Island In The Bahamas
On October 19, 2018, The Bahamas officially issued a tentative preliminary approval of Disney Cruise Line’s plan to build and exclusively operate a private cruise port on Eleuthera Island’s southern tip. Project’s developer will be the Walt Disney Company subsidiary Disney Parks and Resorts. The plan is for developing a land sized 746 acres that Disney agreed to purchase. The new Disney ships-only port will have a dedicated pier , boat marina, shops, restaurants, passenger walkways through forests and around salt ponds.
Disney’s new port project will create around 150 permanent local jobs plus various entrepreneurial opportunities for Bahamian residents. However, The Bahamas Parliament must officially agree to the plan once all terms and conditions are agreed and proper environmental testing is conducted.
In early-March 9, 2019, Bahamas allowed Walt Disney to acquire the resort property Lighthouse Pointe from Meritage Hospitality Group Inc . The property will serve as Disney’s new cruise port that also doubles as “entertainment facility” . By this project, Disney will invest between USD 250-400 million to develop the property as Castaway Cay. As part of the deal, Disney agreed to donate property’s southernmost point to the Bahamas Government for a national park.
Currently, on Eleuthera island is located the Carnival Corporation-owned private island resort Princess Cays.
What Is The Largest Cruise Ship In The World 2021
The Wonder of the Seas, which is the fifth ship in the Oasis Class and weighs in at a massive 236,857 gross tons, has surpassed the Symphony of the Seas as the largest cruise ship in the world. The Wonder of the Seas is 1,188 feet long and can accommodate a maximum of 6,988 guests in addition to its crew of 2,300 people.

Adventures By Disney Cruises In The Galapagos Islands
Adventures by Disney’s Galapagos cruise program was inaugurated in 2022, with prices from USD 6300 for adults and USD 5600 for children, with double occupancy.
Disney’s Galapagos Islands program is based on the chartered boat Galapagos Legend . Adventures by Disney limits Galapagos bookings with a min age 12-years-old.
DCL’s Galapagos deals are inclusive of a 9-day/8-night package , 23 meals , 1-night Quito hotel stay . International flights are not included in cruise fares.

Norwegian Prima Is First
With Norwegian Prima, Norwegian Cruise Line ushers in a new class of ship, with an array of accompanying new features. The Norwegian Prima deck plan includes something for everyone. Thrill seekers will love The Drop a dry, freefall slide that has a 10-story plunge as well as a new version of the popular top-deck race track. Theres also The Rush, a pair of dueling dry racing slides, and the lines first Tidal Wave innertube waterslide.
Norwegian always leans into nightlife, and Norwegian Primas theater will be able to convert into a giant Las Vegas-style nightclub. The marquee show onboard will be a version of Summer: The Donna Summer Musical. The line is also bringing on Light Balance, a dance troupe winner from Americaâs Got Talent, for a show that combines high-energy dance and aerobics with a multisensory light show.

Dcl Cruise Itineraries 2022
In early-2022 DCL cruises to Hawaii and also offers various itineraries from the USA to the Caribbean, Bahamas, and Mexico. Departures are from homeports New Orleans , Galveston TX, San Diego CA, Port Canaveral, Miami FL. Every voyage from Florida visits Disneyâs private island, Castaway Cay.
MS Disney Wonder returns to Hawaii for two 10-night roundtrips to Honolulu from Vancouver BC . Disney Wonder from Galveston cruises to the Western Caribbean on 4-night itineraries, followed by 4- and 6-night roundtrips from New Orleans. A special 6-night Bahamian itinerary from both Galveston and New Orleans visits Castaway Cay and Key West.
MS Disney Fantasy cruises from Port Canaveral starting with a 6-night Western Caribbean voyage, followed by 7-night Eastern and Western Caribbean roundtrips.

Disney Wish Staterooms Include Some That Are Two Stories Or Above The Bridge
Unique artwork inspired by “Cinderella” and other Disney classics adorn the staterooms, and 900 of 1,254 staterooms will be connected adjoining, making this ship the most family-friendly of the Disney fleet.
The rooms are larger, and most have an ocean view.
And for the first time, a Disney ship features two-story suites with spiral staircases and custom stained-glass art.
And, in another first, the Disney Wish will feature rooms above the bridge of the ship.

Dcl Cruise Itineraries 2022 Europe
In late-March 2021, DCL announced its summer 2022 ship deployments and scheduled itineraries in Europe Alaska and the Caribbean. DCL’s first-ever summer departures from Miami Florida visit Castaway Cay. Bookings opened on March 25.
European itineraries are part of a new program scheduled for MS Disney Magic. DCL has planned 5 maiden ports in Europe – Leixoes-Oporto Portugal, Chania Crete, Riga Latvia, Maloy Norway, Nynashamn Sweden.
From homeport Civitavecchia-Rome, the ship offers 8-9-12-night roundtrips to Piraeus-Athens and the Greek islands Santorini and Mykonos. A 9-night sailing marks Disneyâs first call to Port Chania . Mediterranean cruises from Barcelona visit popular ports like Naples and Rome, plus French Riviera’s coastal towns Cannes and Villefranche. During the 7-night relocation voyage from Barcelona to Dover, Disney Magic makes a maiden visit to Oporto via Port Leixoes.
In Alaska. MS Disney Wonder‘s 2022 summer season is based on homeporting in Vancouver, BC Canada, and 7-night roundtrips to Skagway, , Ketchikan, Dawes Glacier. Two Alaskan cruises visit Icy Strait Point instead of Skagway.
Throughout 2022 summer, from homeport Port Canaveral, MS Disney Fantasy visits Castaway Cay along with Eastern and Western Caribbean ports on 7-night itineraries plus a special 5-night and an extended 9-night roundtrip .
The newbuild MS Disney Wish starts an Inaugural Cruise program also in summer 2022, but itineraries will be released at a later date.

Silverseas Silver Dawn Debuts New Roman
A sister ship to 2021s Silver Moon, the 596-passenger Silver Dawn will up the luxury cruise game even more with the lineâs first Roman-inspired spa and wellness program. Called Otium, the program places luxury front and center, with special spa touches put throughout your cruise. Among the goodies: a new posh mattress an indulgent room service menu with foie gras burgers, lobster and caviar on brioche and truffle fries and multisensory bath soaks.
In addition, Silver Dawn will include the lineâs culinary immersion program S.A.L.T., which debuted in 2021 to rave reviews. If youâre a foodie, this deep dive into local food and drink, offered both onboard and ashore, is a canât-miss.
The Ship’s Club For Kids Will Let Them Design Their Own Roller Coaster And Go For A Virtual Ride On Their Creation
Disney states that its Oceaneer Club what Disney Cruise Line calls its onboard club for kids ages 3 to 12 has been completely reimagined for the Disney Wish.
It will be the first on the cruise line to include the Walt Disney Imagineering Lab, where kids can learn what it takes to create attractions for Disney parks.
“It’s really taking our young cruisers behind the scenes and looking at how we create the magic and how we use our imaginations,” Claire Weiss, a creative director with Walt Disney Imagineering, said during a Disney panel about the ship.
After designing a mockup of their own attraction, kids can virtually test out the rides, Weiss said.

Captain Minnie The Bow And The Keel
The Disney Wishs captain is none other than Minnie Mouse herself! According to Disney, Captain Minnie has taken the helm to inspire the next generation of female leaders in the cruise industry.

Captain Minnie is also featured on the bow of the Disney Wish! Disney explains that the scroll pattern is reminiscent of the classic ocean liners of the 1930s, in keeping with the design of the other ships in the fleet.

On March 31, 2022, the ship departed the Meyer Werft Shipyard in Germany after nearly two years of construction. And in April 2022, the Disney Wish entered open water on the North Sea after 24 hours traveling down the River Ems in Germany! The Wish then traveled to Eemshaven, Netherlands for sea trials. Seabourn Venture Offers Submarines Champagne For Luxury Adventure Cruises
With Seabourn Venture, the luxury cruise line Seabourn leaps into the high-end expedition trend. The 264-passenger ship will have two custom-built submarines as well as 24 zodiacs, kayaksâ you also snorkel and scuba dive â and a full expedition team to explain all the natural wonders around you. Plus you get the sumptuous suites with a built-in heated jacket wardrobe, Swarovski binoculars and the Moulton Brown amenities, upscale dining and endless Champagne that Seabourn is known for.
Seabourn Venture debuted in August 2022 with cruises in the British Isles, Norway and the Arctic before transiting to South America and Antarctic for winter 2022. On all itineraries expect adventure along the way, with stops at small ports and remote areas.

Viking Mars And Viking Neptune Continue Viking Oceans’ Expansion
Viking Ocean Cruises wonât call themselves luxury. But when youâre onboard one of the line’s identical oceangoing vessels, you certainly feel like youâre on a luxury cruise, with fantastic food and dining options, itineraries that stop at interesting ports, and inclusions such as Wi-Fi, a shore excursion at each port of call, and one of the best spa thermal suites at sea.
Viking has two identical 930-passenger ocean ships coming in 2022. Viking Mars will debut in May 2022 and sail itineraries in the Mediterranean and northern Europe before moving to Asia. Viking Neptune, meanwile, will debut in fall 2022 and start Vikingâs 2022-23 World Cruise in December from Fort Lauderdale.
Enchanting Staterooms And Suites On The Disney Wish
The accommodations on board the Disney Wish will feature artwork and designs inspired by beloved fairy tales like Cinderella and include ample rooms for guests to store their luggage and relax. The ship has 1,254 staterooms, most of which will offer an ocean view, with the option to connect many rooms for larger groups traveling together. The new ship will offer more concierge staterooms than any other ship 76 concierge staterooms and suites will have spacious accommodations inspired by “Tangled.” These include one-bedroom concierge suites and the first-ever staterooms located above the bridge, which will offer incredible ocean views with floor-to-ceiling windows. Four royal suites inspired by “Sleeping Beauty” will offer unbeatable space and luxury.
There are two Princess Aurora Royal Suites and two Briar Rose Suites, and each pair includes a two-story and a single-story configuration. These suites have some truly incredible features, including a private hot tub on the veranda, two master bedrooms, and more, plus, the two-story suites will have floor-to-ceiling windows, a spiral staircase, and two-deck-high stained glass. The Concierge Lounge is also getting a sizable upgrade on the new ship it will be more than three times the size of the lounges on other Disney ships and it will offer a full bar, light bites, a kids’ area, and a private sun deck with whirlpools, a wading pool, and more.

Not Just Another Cruise Ship
Disney Wish is not just another cruise ship. She is one of the most highly-anticipated ships to be launched this year. A lot of this has to do with the marketing campaign Disney Cruise Line developed for the vessel. Over the last years, the cruise line has done its best to slowly reveal details of its newest cruise ship.
One of the highlights onboard will be the 230-meter-long Aqua Mouse water slide. In addition, there is a Toy Story Splash Zone for children on the pool deck with six pools, including a water slide, a smoothie bar, and a restaurant.
Other new additions to the Disney fleet are an adults-only area, where adults can have a relaxing day by the pool, go to the Spa or hairdressers, or visit one of the bars and pubs.

Disney Wish also houses the first suite directly in a smokestack. The Wish Tower Suite extends over two floors and has a living area of around 180 square meters, offering space for up to eight guests. The suite is located in the forward funnel, which merely serves an aesthetic purpose.
