Royal Caribbean Drops Requirements For Most Cruises

Royal Caribbean Back at Sea | A Full Fleet Celebration

Royal Caribbean has once more updated and simplified its health and safety protocols, opening up more cruises to more passengers.

As additional Caribbean destinations continue to adjust their own protocols for travelers, Royal Caribbean International has updated their requirements for upcoming sailings.

This is a welcome simplification for many travelers, and permits more guests to set sail with the worlds largest cruise line.

Getting Ready To Cruise From Singapore

Here are the latest protocols for our guests sailing from Singapore. Protocols are subject to change and we are committed to keeping you informed if they do. Whenever possible we will provide prior notice for any changes. Just the same, we’ll let you know if any requirements are reduced or eliminated.

Guests travelling into Singapore from another country should be sure to look into any requirements that your own home country may have for exiting or re-entering its borders.

Vaccination Requirement

All Royal Caribbean guests above 12 years of age must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 with the final dose administered at least 14 days before sailing.

We will ask that you disclose your vaccination status to us prior to boarding .

Children aged 12 and under do not require COVID-19 vaccination to cruise but if your kids are vaccinated, they can follow the test guidance for vaccinated guests.

Each guests regimen must include at least two doses of vaccine to be considered fully vaccinated unless the guest received the single dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

For the best Singapore cruise experience, we strongly recommend guests be “up to date” on their COVID-19 vaccination.

In order to go ashore in Malaysia, guests must be up to date with their vaccinations. To find out if your vaccination status is up to date with Malaysian government guidelines, click here.

Royal Caribbean Will Protect Customers’ Deposits

The cruise line operator said it will protect the deposits of customers who were booked on the ship and who make a new booking on Celebrity Cruises, Royal Caribbean International or Silversea Cruises.

“We believe those Crystal guests will receive back their deposits regardless, but we want to give them added assurance,” Silversea Cruises spokesperson Matthew Scott told USA TODAY in an email. “Therefore, should these Crystal Endeavor guests not receive their deposits back from Crystal , Royal Caribbean Group will refund any amount paid on their new bookings made with any of the three brands by November 30, 2022, up to the amount of their lost deposits from Crystal.”

Scott said the credit those passengers can get from Royal Caribbean Group “will be equal to the fare paid by the guest to Crystal Cruises for the qualifying Crystal Endeavor booking, less all amounts the guest received in refunds or recovery from any source.”

Guests can book their cruise as they would normally, but they’ll need to show documentation to prove their eligibility. Scott said they are still finalizing the details of the process and will share more “as soon as the information is available.”

He added that customers who want to book a trip with Silversea and take advantage of the offer can reach out to its Contact Center by calling 1-877-353-4281.

Cruises from the U.K. — as well as Mediterranean, Asia and Australia cruises — attract a significant number of locals from each area, as well as Royal Caribbean’s usual North Americans.

Do I have to dress up on a Royal Caribbean cruise?

Royal Caribbean’s dress code is casual during the day at night there’s either casual, smart-casual or formal dress code depending on the schedule. Casual attire includes jeans and collared shirts for men and sundresses or pants with blouses for women smart-casual means collared shirts, dresses, skirts and blouses, or pantsuits and on formal nights, suits and ties, tuxedos, cocktail dresses or evening gowns are expected. Does It Pay To Plan Ahead Or Should I Wait Until The Last Minute

Its an age-old question does the early bird really get the worm, or are there perks to taking a wait-and-see approach? If youre booking a cruise vacation, youll find there are benefits to both strategies. Planning ahead is a great way to score big savings, as Royal Caribbean often runs early saver deals to guests booking well in advance. Its also pretty safe to assume prices usually go up as availability goes down the closer you get to your sail date, so booking ahead is a surefire way to lock in a great rate. That said, booking a cruise at the last minute can also yield some unexpected savings but only if the itinerary youre interested in hasnt sold out yet.
