Seabourn Cruises Smoking Policy
According to the new Seabourn Cruises smoking policy , smoking is not allowed in all the ship’s indoor venues, also in cabins and on cabin balconies.
- Smoking is also banned in the ships’ Observation Lounge . Smoking is allowed on Sky Bar’s open-air starboard area and also on the starboard open-air pool terrace of The Club lounge .
- Smoking cigarettes, as well as cigars and pipes smoking is allowed on Seabourn Square lounge’s open-air terrace .
- Smoking E-cigarettes in cabins is allowed.
- Passengers who don’t comply with the company’s smoking policy are fined a cleaning fee .
Dining & Drinks On Seabourn Alaska Cruises
On Seabourn ships, every meal is prepared especially for you by a team of skilled chefs, using fresh, high-quality ingredients and reflecting authentic regional flavors. Thanks to a partnership with world-renowned chef Thomas Keller, an array of dishes including appetizers, entrees and desserts have been created with Kellers French-American flair.
Dine in The Restaurant whenever youd like the white-cloth dining room is open-seating, so no reservations or seating plans are required. Or, visit Restaurant 2, a more intimate, modern, and innovative restaurant. Nightly tasting menus at R2 offer flights of small plates put together to make a unique and memorable meal. For a more casual meal, The Colonnade is available all day, with buffets and daily specials for breakfast and lunch and a mixture of indoor and outdoor seating. The Colonnade also hosts regionally-themed, bistro-style dinners with table service each night. For a midday snack or light dinner, enjoy grilled specialties, salads, sides, and pizzas at The Patio or the Sky Grill. Of course, 24-hour room service is available too.
Seabourn has an open bar policy throughout the ship, serving premium wine, champagne and spirits. Fine wines are poured at lunch and dinner, and a complimentary welcome champagne is offered upon embarkation.

Seabourn Odyssey Veranda Suites:
The most common category is the veranda suite.
These suites average 365 square feet in size, which includes the teak veranda with glass railing.
I use the term suite loosely here, as thats how the line describes their Seabourn Odyssey cabins.
Theres no actual wall dividing the living room area from the bed in the veranda suites instead, heavy bronze silk curtains do the job .
If you want a proper two-room design, you need to choose one of the larger suites and there are several of those!
I think Seabourns designers did a marvelous job with Seabourns veranda suites.
Pleasing in décor, theyre furnished with blonde wood cabinets, a loveseat and two camel leather chairs around a dining-cum-work table .
And theres sufficient room to comfortably move around, without bumping and bruising your arms or legs on any corners.
And I loved the walk-in closet with more than enough hangers and drawers to stow away a huge suitcase worth of clothes for a two-week cruise.
The spacious marble bathroom was a particular delight. It had two sinks, a proper bathtub and a separate glass shower with strong water pressure.
Molton Brown bath products in large tubes were a pleasure to use.
Indeed, every time I returned to my suite, it was an ahhhhh moment where I felt Id entered my own soothing cocoon of calm and quiet.

The Grill By Thomas Keller:
This is the it specialty restaurant on Seabourn Odyssey. Reservations are needed, but theres no extra charge.
Thomas Keller is an American, 3-Michelin star chef who runs well-known restaurants such as The French Laundry , Ad Hoc and Bouchon.
His Grill on Seabourn Odyssey takes you back to the 50s and 60s, dishing up iconic American favorites like specialty martinis, Caesar salad prepared table-side, lobster thermidor and best of all, perfectly-seared premium steaks.
Seabourns Thomas Keller specialty restaurant is popular, but even though our ship was full, we still managed to dine there three times during our cruise.
Whats more, if you cant get into The Grill, you can still take advantage of an additional Thomas Keller inspired menu in The Restaurant , for example, king salmon with citrus sauce, creamed spinach and red rice porridge.

Tipping is neither required nor expected. Prices do not include gratuities for local shore excursion guides, drivers, and related service staff. Independent, subcontracted ground operator companies employ all ground staff and these entities do not participate in Seabourn Cruises’ on board “no tipping” practice. Tipping of guides, drivers and other independent ground staff is at the individual guest’s discretion, anticipated and appreciated.

All-inclusive has become the latest catchcry. But all-inclusive fares may still end up costing you more than you think.
It would be unreasonable to assume absolutely everything would be included on a journey of several weeks. Of course, basics such as dining, beverages, entertainment, and activities shouldnt really attract extra charges unless it is clearly spelt out in advance.
With some ships, however, your level of inclusiveness may depending on your cabin choice, while with others, passengers across the ship will be charged for selected products and services.
Different aspects of luxury cruising appeal to different passengers, and so you may find the extra costs are for services you wouldnt use anyway.
As with all-inclusive packages on land, companies have to draw the line somewhere. A charge on a particularly popular celebrity restaurant on your second night may have more to do ensuring every passenger gets a chance than the money, for instance.

If you want to watch Netflix or use communication services like FaceTime, then you will need Seabourns premium Wi-Fi internet package known as the Stream Wi-Fi Package. It allows you to stream video and make intenet calls from up to 4 different devices.
The Stream Wi-Fi Package is free for guests in Penthouse and Premium suites, as well as Diamond-level Seabourn Club members. According to Seabourn, guests booked in Ocean View and Veranda suites can upgrade to the Stream Wi-Fi Package for a nominal charge.

Seabourn will now include WiFi aboard its ships as part of the ultra-luxury onboard inclusive experience.
Seabourn now includes complimentary WiFi with unlimited minutes for all bookings so guests can access the internet throughout their voyage from anywhere on the ship.
Two tiers of internet packages are available across Seabourns fleet:
- Surf Wi-Fi Package: allows 1 device per guest with unlimited minutes of access for general web browsing, email, and checking or posting to social media accounts.
- Stream Wi-Fi Package: this upgraded package allows up to four devices per guest with unlimited minutes of access to web services offered in the Surf package, plus access to video streaming, internet telephony as well as VPN/cloud storage services.
Guests booked in Penthouse and Premium suite categories, as well as Seabourn Club members who have reached Diamond-level status or above, will automatically receive the Stream package. Those who are booked in Ocean View and Veranda suites can upgrade to the Stream package for a nominal charge.

Seabourn Ovation offers accommodation in spacious suites furnished with wardrobes, comfortable seating and sleeping spaces, elegant bathrooms, an in-suite bar, and personal entertainment facilities.
Suites are available in five categories, including Signature Suite, Owners Suite, Penthouse Suite and Veranda Suite. The Wintergarden Suite features large windows, dining space for six guests, a sofa bed, two televisions, a whirlpool bathtub, a pantry with wet bar, a glass-enclosed solarium and two water closets.

Seabourn Ovation Cruise Ship Design Details
Seabourn Ovation incorporates modern design elements and concepts. The indoor and outdoor guest spaces are designed by Adam D Tihany. The ship features an additional deck and newly developed public spaces in tune with the reputation of Seabourn.
The vessel is installed with Wärtsilä navigation, automation and sensor systems, including Wärtsilä Nacos Platinum and Wärtsilä Valmatic Platinum systems. It also features a video wall, a tank level and flood detection system, as well as a valve remote control.
The ship is 210m-long and 28m-wide and has a gross tonnage of 40,350t. It has the capacity to accommodate up to 600 guests on a double-occupancy basis and sails at a cruising speed of 18.6k.
Can I Bring Booze Onboard A Seabourn Cruise
Bringing alcohol onboard at embarkation: It’s allowed without limitation and minus any applicable corkage fees, but beer, wine, spirits and Champagne are complimentary onboard Seabourn ships. Itineraries 2022 Europe Alaska
In early-February 2021 were opened fo booking Seabourn’s 2022 summer and fall voyages in Europe, Alaska and British Columbia, Canada and New England.
European itineraries range 7 to 14 days, with B2B options to up to 38 days. The ships Encore, Ovation, Quest and Sojourn are scheduled to sail in Europe with itineraries visiting a combination of popular port cities and hidden gems as well as destinations accessible only to superyachts and smaller-sized ships. The program includes 27 European ports that Seabourn has not visited in the past 5 years, or ever before. Maiden port calls are scheduled for Vis , Trogir , Esbjerg , Plymouth UK, Portsmouth UK, La Ciotat , Douarnenez , Laerdal , Ferrol , Puerto del Rosario .
In addition, the company has scheduled for 2022 a total of 15 Alaska and British Columbia cruises with Seabourn Odyssey, raging 7 to 11 days and up to 2 weeks as B2Bs. Seabourn also offers 6 Canada and New England cruises in late summer-early fall , raging 12-14 days.
Early bookings receive additional savings, including the Early Bonus Savings promotion.
