Can I Share The Drink Package
You cannot share either Carnival drink package. Carnival mandates that every adult sharing a cabin must purchase the same drink package to prevent sharing.
If a cruise ship employee catches you sharing the drink package with other passengers the cruise line will cancel your package without a refund.
What Other Restrictions Are Important To Know
As youd probably expect, CHEERS! is only available to those 21 and over. Also, if one passenger in a stateroom wants to purchase the package, any other guests over the age of 21 who share the same cabin must buy it. You also cant purchase the package for a single day or a portion of the cruise it is only available for the entire length of the cruise.
The program is refundable, but only up until 10 p.m. on the day before your cruise is scheduled to sail.
Finally, CHEERS! is not always available on European itineraries, two-day voyages, or charter cruises.

Do I Still Need To Tip The Bartender
Technically, no, as youve already paid a gratuity as part of the price of the beverage package. That said, were big believers in the power of tipping. We tend to tip the bartender if theres a bar we know well be spending a lot of time. Will you still get excellent service if you dont? Of course. But unless youve never set foot in a bar before, we probably dont have to tell you that a little extra cash can help make sure you stand out from the crowd.

Wine Package Cruise The Vineyards
Carnival wine packages can be ordered prior to departure or can be purchased on board . Either way, you’ll be charged 18% gratuity and you will not have to select the actual wines until you’re ready to drink one of them.

Do You Need To Pay Tax On Your Drinks
When youre out at sea in international waters, you dont need to worry about paying tax on any of your drinks. But when youre in port, some local authorities require cruise lines to collect tax on the menu price of any beverages you buy.
Taxes are charged to your on board account if youre buying drinks one-by-one or using a beverage package.
The tax percentage varies by port, but its never a huge amountgenerally somewhere between 5-10% of the cost of each drink. If a jurisdiction charges tax, it will be charged on each drink when the ship is in port and in its territorial waters.
Punchliner Comedy Club Drink Menu
If youre going to a Comedy Show on a Carnival ship, you have some specialty cocktails to choose from. On some ships, there is a dedicated Punchliner Comedy Club venue. On other ones, this will take place is the Limelight Lounge or another venue with Lounge in its name. There are the updated menus as of July 2022.

How Do The Drink Packages Work
To pre-purchase the CHEERS! package before you sail to receive the 10% discount you must pay no later than 11:59 PM EST the day before your embarkation.
The drink packages are non-transferable and non-refundable and cannot be shared between guests.
When you purchase, Carnival will put a sticker on your Sail & Sign card to show you purchased the package. Only one drink can be purchased at a time and can only be purchased by the guest whose name is on the Sail & Sign card. There is a 5 minute wait between ordering drinks.
Drink packages cannot be used through Room Service and are not availableon European Cruises. When purchasing in U.S. Waters sales tax will be charged to your Sail & Sign card.
When leaving from Texas or New York due to state laws, the CHEERS! package is not available until the 2nd day of your cruise beginning at 6:00 AM. Therefore, all drinks that you buy on embarkation day will be paid for separately.
I hope this helps you when trying to decide if the drink package works for you! I personally choose to purchase the CHEERS! Package on each cruise I have been on. I quickly learned my lesson on my first cruise after I turned 21! HA! We wont talk about it, OKURRR?

Best Australian Cruise Ship Drinks Packages
Buying a beverage package, whether its for soft or alcoholic drinks, can save you money and also allow you to know exactly what youll spend at the bar. Its worth working out how many drinks youre likely to consume to see if you will save money check if theres a service charge for the package, too. Heres a rundown of beverage packages offered on board the major cruise lines that operate in Australia, either year-round or on ships that visit during the summer season .

Although you cant buy alcoholic drinks packages on CarnivalLegend and Carnival Spirit, the line does sell a soft drinks package. Bottomless Bubbles covers soft drinks and juices, costing $7.25 per day for adults and $5.50 per day for children. Packages must be bought daily and do not include bottled water .

Holland America Lines MS Noordam replaces MS Oosterdam in Australasia in 2015-16. The lines Signature Beverage Package includes wine, beer, spirits, alcoholic and soft drinks and specialty coffees that cost US$7 or less and starts at US$44.95 per person, per day. You can buy the package in advance or on board for the first two days of the cruise, and if one passenger wants to buy a package, all passengers booked in the same cabin must also buy it. You have to be over 21 to buy alcohol on HAL ships.

How Much Does Cheers Cost
The price for Carnivals CHEERS! package varies based on the length of the cruise and when you buy.
As of May 2022, the CHEERS! package aboard Carnival costs $59.95 per person, per day if bought ahead of time. If you wait to purchase the beverage package until you board the ship, the price rises to $64.95 per day.
On top of that, the cruise line charges an 18% gratuity fee. Therefore, the actual total cost is $70.74 if bought ahead of the cruise or $76.64 per person, per day for those waiting to purchase until on the ship.
You are charged this amount every day you are on the cruise no matter if you are in port or at sea. It also doesnt matter if you drink nothing on a certain day, or have 15 drinks. Each day is charged.

How Much Are Drinks On A Carnival Cruise If You Buy Them Individually
If youre considering buying a drink package for your first Carnival cruise, youre probably wondering what the menu prices are if you buy drinks individually.
Here are typical menu prices for a variety of drinks on Carnival:

- Wine $8 $14 per glass
- Mixed drinks: $7 $20

Does Carnival Cruise Drink Package Do Black Friday
When it comes to Black Friday shopping extravaganza, buyers can always receive economical bargains from their most-liked stores. Carnival Cruise Drink Package is no exception. Each year, the vendor gives more than just unbeatable Black Friday bargains. Carnival Cruise Drink Package also offers pre-Black Friday savings and bargains for Cyber Monday.
Royal Caribbean Cruise Line
Royal Caribbean Cruise Line’s Classic Soda Package is priced between $12.99 and $15 per person, per day plus 18% gratuity and includes a souvenir cup. Unlimited carbonated beverages are available at all fountain soda locations as well as Coca-Cola Freestyle beverage machines found throughout the ship. A second non-alcoholic beverage program, the Refreshment Package, costs between $29 and $38 per person, per day plus 18% gratuity, and includes everything from the classic soda package plus mocktails, still and sparkling water, premium coffees and teas and fresh-squeezed juices.

Then there’s the Deluxe Beverage Package, which costs between $63 and $89 per person, per day plus 18% gratuity if purchased on board, with a discount offered for advanced purchases. This program includes everything from the refreshment package plus cocktails, spirits, liquor, beer and wine by the glass priced at up to $13. There is a one drink per transaction max but there’s no limit on the number of drinks you can order per 24-hour period.

How Many Drinks Can I Buy At One Time
You can only purchase one beverage at a time. There is a five-minute waiting period between drinks.
If you want to purchase more than one drink, you can charge one to your drink package and simply pay for the others on your onboard account. Or just wait five minutes to get another beverage included with the package.
What’s Included In The Carnival Cruises Drinks Package
CHEERS! is an all-inclusive beverage program that allows you to enjoy a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages by paying a flat daily rate. You must be 21 or older to purchase CHEERS! and each adult assigned to the same stateroom must purchase the program.
Carnival has enhanced their CHEERS! beverage programme to include a greater variety of non-alcoholic beverages, as well as a wider selection of high-quality brand-name spirits and wines by the glass.
It is always cheaper to pre-purchase your drinks package than to wait until you are onboard.

The Heroes Tribute Bar and Lounge is a new venue from Carnival that honors the men and women that have served our country. Youll find this menu on the Carnival Panorama where the Heroes Tribute Bar replaces the SkyBox Sports Bar. There is also a lounge on the but it doesnt have a dedicated bar, you use the bar from Guys Pig and Anchor.

Every Persons Experience Will Be Different
First things first: Im not a huge drinker. Im always surprised when I hear people complain that the CHEERS! package only covers 15 alcoholic beverages a day. Thats not a judgment, just an admission that I couldnt consume that much alcohol if I tried.
On the other hand, espresso and specialty coffees are my weakness and thats an important factor in figuring out the value of the package. Because while people focus on the 15 alcoholic drinks, they forget about the many other beverages including my caffeinated favorites which are also covered.

I was cruising by myself on this six-night cruise, so it was just me in the cabin. With Carnival Cruise Line, anyone over the age of 21 who is staying in the same cabin is required to purchase the drink package. That can add up, especially if youre traveling with someone who doesnt drink at all.
For the record, both Royal Caribbean and Norwegian Cruise Line also have this same rule.

What Is Excluded From The Cheers Beverage Package
Although the Carnival CHEERS! drink package is very inclusive, but there are some restrictions. For example, drinks found in your cabins minibar or ordered through room service are not covered.
Interestingly, Carnivals website lists food items as an exclusion. Something that should seem evident from the term beverage package.
The CHEERS! package doesnt include the following:
- Beverages promoted and sold in souvenir glasses
- Bottles of liquor
Question #: Will I Be Drinking Because I Feel I Have To In Order To Get My Moneys Worth
As I mentioned above, Im not a big drinker, and obviously, nobody is twisting your arm. One thing I really enjoyed was the ability to try something I wouldnt normally. Every bar on the ship has a list of specialty cocktails with fun names like the Kiss On The Lips or the Adios, Mo-Fo.
On land, youd probably never even think of ordering something like that but on a ship, with a drink package, it gives you the freedom to try new things. Dont like it? Wait the required 5 minutes between drinks and try something else.

Carnival Cruise Line Non
Bottomless Bubbles is Carnival Cruise Lines unlimited soda package. For one flat fee, cruisers can enjoy all the fountain soda and juices they want with this package.
The pricing of this package is $8.50 for adults and $5.95 for children aged 17 or under .
Like the alcoholic drink package, you can only order one drink at a time, either a 16 ounce glass of soda or a 10 ounce glass of juice. Soda choices on the Carnival drink menu for 2020 include Pepsi products, Tonic Water, and Club Soda. Similarly, for juices, cruisers have the option of Orange Juice, Cranberry Juice, Tomato Juice, Pineapple Juice, and Grapefruit Juice.
Again, like the Cheers Program, this package does NOT work off the ship, even at Half Moon Cay or Princess Cays. Bottled water and specialty coffee are also not part of this package. Other exclusions include beverages sold in souvenir glasses, beverages sold at the gangway, and room services orders.
