How To Show Proof Of Vaccine Or Testing
To prove your vaccination status and negative COVID-19 test ahead of your Disney Cruise Line voyage, create an account using your reservation on the Safe Passage website. There, you can upload vaccine proof and test results.
Ensure your vaccination documentation includes your full name , date of birth, name of vaccines , and date administered.
What Other Cruise Lines Have Recently Dropped Vaccine Requirements
Costa Cruises will also allow unvaccinated travelers to board sailings 14 nights or shorter in the Caribbean and Mediterranean beginning Oct. 8. Those passengers or those who are partially vaccinated will need to “provide results of a negative antigen or molecular PCR test taken within 48 hours of embarkation,” according to a news release.
Fully vaccinated passengers do not have to test prior to sailing. The changes are also subject to local requirements, and full vaccination requirements apply to passengers 12 and up while testing rules apply to those 5 and older.

Do You Need The Covid Shot To Take A Disney Cruise
Disney Cruise Line itself no longer requires vaccinations just to board its cruise ships. The cruise line advises that Full vaccination not required but highly recommended.
Though there is no direct requirement from the cruise line to be immunized, travelers must always ensure they meet any governmental requirements in order to board the ship or to disembark at a particular port-of-call during the cruise. Some countries may have regulations that are more strict than those onboard the ship itself.
Other Health Protocols On Disney Cruise Line
In addition to the expansion of the vaccine mandate, Disney Cruise Line has a variety of other health and safety protocols in place on board its ships.
As we set sail again, the health and safety of our Guests, Cast Members and Crew Members is a top priority,Disney says on its website.Our focus remains on operating our ships in a responsible way that continues to create magic for all on board.
Enhanced cleaning protocols are in place on Disney ships, with particular attention to high-touch spaces such as childrens areas and passenger staterooms.
New air circulation and purification measures are in place, and all guests are required to wear face coverings indoors, except when in their staterooms or actively eating, drinking, or taking a photo while stationary and maintaining an appropriate physical distance. Reduced ship capacity, extra hand sanitizing stations, and prioritizing physical distancing are other measures currently in use on Disney ships.

Testing For Unvaccinated Guests
Guests who are not vaccinated or who are unable to present appropriate COVID-19 vaccination records prior to embarkation day must take a NAAT or PCR test 1-3 days prior to embarkation. It must be noted that rapid antigen tests are not acceptable for that initial test.
Unvaccinated guests are required to be tested again at the cruise terminal. That test will be paid for by Disney Cruise Line. A second test will also be required if the first result is positive.
As with vaccinated guests, if that second test confirms a positive result, the impacted guest, their traveling party, and close contacts will not be permitted to board, and will be responsible to make their own travel arrangements to return home.
Disney Cruise Line Removes Vaccine Mandate And Relaxes Testing
Disney Cruise Line becomes one of the final major lines to remove the vaccine mandate, along with relaxing testing requirements.
Starting October 14, Disney Cruise Line will drop the vaccine mandate for all guests and introduce relaxed testing requirements for fully vaccinated guests. Disney Cruise Line is one of the last cruise lines to make these changes.
The new protocols will be introduced on a rolling basis, starting with Disney Wish, and concluding with Disney Magic on November 7. For four out of five ships in the fleet, the changes come right on time for the popular Halloween cruises.

New Requirement Begins Thursday
ORLANDO, Fla. A new COVID-19 vaccine requirement that requires all guests 5 years and older to be vaccinated is now in effect on Disney cruises.
The requirement was announced by Disney Cruise Line in mid-November for all vaccine-eligible guests to be inoculated against COVID-19 for all cruises on Thursday, Jan. 13, or after.
As we set sail again, the health and safety of our Guests, Cast Members and Crew Members is a top priority, a Disney news release said. Our focus remains on operating our ships in a responsible way that continues to create magic or all on board.
The cruise line said it applies to all sailings in the U.S. and abroad. The requirements previously only required guests 12 and older to be vaccinated against COVID.
The new rules come as other cruise lines have been forced to cancel sailings due to a recent spike in cases and port restrictions. Norwegian Cruise Line issued a new advisory Tuesday, canceling numerous cruises, including one based at Port Canaveral.
The move comes a couple of weeks after the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention regarding COVID-19 and cruise ships, warning against cruise travel regardless of vaccination status due to the omicron variant of COVID-19.

Disney Cruise Lines joins Carnival Cruise Line, Royal Caribbean International, and Holland America Line, which no longer require vaccinations on most sailings. Costa Cruises, Azamara, and Silversea Cruises have also dropped their vaccination policies with some exceptions.

Disney Cruise Line Drops Vaccine Requirement
Some great news on this Tuesday morning! Disney Cruise Line has removed mandatory COVID-19 vaccinations from their list of embarkation protocols starting October 14, 2022. Unvaccinated guests will be allowed to sail, but will still be required to test negative for COVID-19 prior to embarkation.
The change applies to all Disney ships except for Disney Magic, which will begin accepting unvaccinated guests in November.
Between now and October 13th, all guests 12 and older must be vaccinated against COVID-19 but testing in not required. Once the new protocols go into effect, fully vaccinated guests will not need to test prior to embarkation.

Children who set sail on Disney cruise ships will soon have to be vaccinated against COVID-19.
All Disney Cruise Line guests ages five and over will be required to show proof of vaccination as of Jan. 13 on national and international trips, the company announced Wednesday.
Kids younger than five will have to provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken in the days before they board the ship.
The cruise line currently requires that children 12 and over be inoculated.
Disney had docked its cruise ships through the summer over pandemic concerns.

Disney Cruise Line said on Monday it’s dropping its vaccination requirement for children younger than 12.
Starting on Sept. 2, a requirement to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 will no longer apply to guests ages 5 to 11 for sailings leaving U.S. and Canadian ports.
The cruise line’s previous rule, which still extends to sailings departing through Sept. 1, required guests 5 and older to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
While the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has authorized COVID vaccines for children as young as 6 months, the cruise line had not extended its requirement to the youngest children.
With the change, a vaccination requirement will still apply for all guests 12 and older. The cruise line notes that vaccinations are recommended for younger travelers.
“In consideration of CDC guidance, Disney Cruise Line highly recommends that Guests ages 11 and younger be fully vaccinated before sailing,” Disney Cruise Line’s website reads.
COVID-19 testing is required for all guests, with different requirements for vaccinated and unvaccinated travelers.
Vaccination Requirements On Disney Cruise Line

As of now, all eligible guests are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 at the time of sailing. Definitions for eligibility and fully vaccinated are based on CDC guidelines.
- Vaccines are available for everybody who is 5 or older.
- You are considered fully vaccinated if its been at least two weeks since your first Johnson & Johnson shot or your second Pfizer or Moderna shot. Boosters are not required to be considered fully vaccinated.
If you are not fully vaccinated and are over the age of 5, you will not be able to board your Disney Cruise this summer.

Disney Cruise Covid Testing Requirements
If you have a child in your party who is not eligible for the vaccine, they can still board their Disney Cruise by providing proof of a negative COVID-19 test result. Guests are responsible for paying for the test.
COVID-19 tests should be taken between three days and 24 hours before the sail date.
The test must be a NAAT test, rapid PCR test, or lab-based PCR test. Disney Cruise Line will not accept rapid antigen tests.
In addition, all fully vaccinated guests must take a COVID-19 test and receive a negative result. If someone in your party has not tested ahead of embarkation, they will be tested at the terminal for a fee of $74.
If you have recently recovered from COVID-19 between 11 and 90 days of your sail date, you may not need to test. Instead, you can upload 90-Day-Recovered documentation.
Norwegian Celebrity Policies Require 5+ Age Group To Be Vaccinated
Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd., parent company to Norwegian Cruise Line, Regent Seven Seas Cruises and Oceania Cruises, instituted a 100% vaccination requirement in April and announced earlier this month that it would remain in place indefinitely.
There are no exemptions, including no age-related exemptions, to the 100% vaccination requirement.
The announcement came on the heels of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s approval for children ages 5 through 11 to be vaccinated. Frank Del Rio, president and CEO of Norwegian, said on an earnings call that the move would “allow for an expanded group of 100% vaccinated guests, especially families to sail on our brand.”
Similarly, Celebrity Cruises, a subsidiary of Royal Caribbean Group, said on its website that that “all crew and guests who are eligible to be vaccinated must be vaccinated in order to sail with us.”
And Holland America Line, a Carnival Corp. cruise line, said on its website that through Feb. 28, its cruises “are available for guests who have received their final dose of an approved COVID-19 vaccine and have proof of vaccination.”
Earlier this month, Holland America announced a promotion to encourage sailing with vaccinated children offering that passengers “aged 5 to 17 sailing as the third and fourth guests in the same stateroom” would cruise for free an offer available on some holiday sailings and other itineraries into spring to be reserved by Thursday.

Does Disney Cruise Line Require Covid

Since sailing first resumed in 2021, cruise ships have gone through a variety of different changes to their policies and requirements.
For the Disney Cruise Line, requirements for vaccinations and testing onboard have slowly been relaxed, and in late August it was announced that the ships would no longer require vaccinated passengers to test for COVID-19. And now, Disney has released a new update for their cruise ships.
Disney has officially changed their policy on COVID-19 vaccinations for select sailings starting in October.
Starting on October 14th, 2022, sailings from the U.S. on the Disney Wonder, Disney Dream, Disney Fantasy, and Disney Wish will no longer require guests to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Disney Cruise Line Royal Caribbean Drop Pre
Cruise Lines further lift COVID-19 requirements Disney Cruise Line, Royal Caribbean International and Carnival Cruise Line have further rolled back their COVID-19 restrictions.
Two more cruise lines are dropping COVID-19 testing requirements before passengers embark on a trip.
Disney Cruise Line updated its requirements on Tuesday, saying that U.S. sailings starting on or after Nov. 14 will no longer require a coronavirus test, regardless of vaccination status.
Disney also does not require vaccinations for guests 5 years old and older but does recommend them.
Until Nov. 14, Disney will continue to require passengers who are fully vaccinated and would like to be exempt from testing to upload their proof of vaccination status to the Inspire Diagnostics Safe Passage website by midnight before embarkation day.
Unvaccinated guests who are sailing before Nov. 14 must still submit results from a proctored telehealth antigen test, a rapid or lab-based PCR test or Nucleic Acid Amplification Test that was taken no more than two days before the sailing.
If a guest is not fully vaccinated, meaning theyve only received a partial vaccine series, the cruise line considers them unvaccinated.
Children under the age of 4 are not required to be vaccinated or tested.
Royal Caribbean has also rolled back its pre-cruise testing requirements with some exceptions.
