Best Cruise Deals And Discounts Sorted By Your Dream Destination

Discover the South Pacific on this perfect honeymoon vacation

Sometimes it’s all about the destination and that is certainly true of cruise destinations. The cruise port you depart from and the amazing cruise ports you visit define your experience as much as what cruise line or cruise ship you sail on. At CruiseExperts.com we understand that and have sorted these cruises by the places you’ll visit on your cruise vacation. So whether it’s a cruise to Alaska, a Caribbean cruise, cruises to Hawaii, a cruise to the Bahamas or Bermuda or a cruise to Mexico you’ll find it easily with the help of our destination wizard. Maybe you’re looking for a cruise vacation that’s just a little different like a Panama Canal cruise, a Transatlantic cruise, cruises to Europe, a Tahiti cruise with a tour of the South Pacific, a down under adventure with an Australia / New Zealand cruise or even a fall foliage cruise through Canada and New England. Whatever floats your boat get started by selecting your dream destination on our cruise search page.

Lifeguards On Rci Ships

Since 2017, all RCI ships have onboard licensed lifeguards by the line’s “water safety program”, implemented fleetwide. By the new program, water safety signs are placed throughout the ship.

Ship’s lifeguards are dressed in special uniforms and stationed at every swimming pool, including the Solarium during the complex’s opening hours. All Royal Caribbean lifeguards are trained through the RCI’s partnership with StarGuard Elite .

  • The water safety program includes a 15-min presentation . The instruction is for by both kids and parents and held during Adventure Ocean’s open-house session.
  • Swim vests for all kids are readily available. Additional signage is added around swimming pool areas and in all cabins to encourage parents to use them.
  • Kids under 12 require a parent or guardian to be present when swimming in any of the cruise ship’s pools.

RCI’s water safety program was rolled out fleetwide in 2017 . Follows the list of all RCI ships and the itinerary dates when each ship implemented the new lifeguard service.

  • Oasis
  • Voyager
  • Vision

The news made RCI the 2nd major cruise company with shipboard lifeguards – following DCL-Disney and followed by NCL-Norwegian starting with NCL’s 4 largest vessels and employing onboard lifeguards fleetwide by 2018.

Shipboard poolside activities vary, but some of the common ones include watching movies , playing bingo, hosting fun competitions, games, classes .

A Quaint Wwii Historic Roadside Museum

On our way to lunch, we made a stop at a very cool, quaint roadside museum. It was run by an elderly gentleman, who had collected various WWII memorabilia over the years.

A very charming man, who recalls U.S. Naval warships arriving on the island during the war as a small boy.

For more details and photos, check out my post here on the WWII Museum Vanuatu.

South Pacific Cruise Highlights

Royal Caribbean South Pacific Cruise {Review}

Beaches

It’s no secret that the islands of the South Pacific are home to some of the worlds best beaches. On the island of Papeete in Tahiti, you’ll find Matavai Bay, where white sand and aquamarine waters make for the perfect place to relax. In Fiji, head to Lautoka’s Vunabaka Bay for an unforgettable experience snorkeling over brilliant coral reefs. Raiatea boasts the immaculate, unspoiled beaches of nearby Taha’a, a secluded island just a short boat ride from the port.

Polynesian Culture

One of the most valuable experiences you can have while traveling the South Pacific is to learn about Polynesias ancient and complex cultures. The isolated position of the islands has given rise to rich traditions of music, storytelling, dance, and art. On the Isle of Pines, visit the Kuto Bay Craft Market to find artists selling traditional wood carvings, straw hats, and more. In Fiji, visit a typical village, where youll be welcomed with a traditional ceremony and kava juice.

Wildlife

Wildlife enthusiasts will find plenty of encounters during a South Pacific cruise, both ashore and in the water. Snorkel from the beaches of Tahiti and you could be swimming among rays, dolphins, black-tipped reef sharks, and sea turtles. While in Fiji, take a nature tour through the rainforest of the Koroyanitu National Heritage Park to see some of the country’s most beautiful and rare birds, such as the orange fruit dove and the pink-billed parrotfinch.

Visiting The Isle Of Pines New Caledonia On This Royal Caribbean South Pacific Cruise

Royal Caribbean South Pacific Cruise 6th Port of Call

This tiny island in paradise is among the favorite for most. A beautiful quaint island among those in the New Caledonia chain.

Here, you can enjoy another relaxing day on the beach, and also its a wonderful spot for snorkeling as well.

Helpful Tip:

If you intend to do some snorkeling, try to be on the first tender ashore in the morning at 09:00. Walk straight across over to Kanumera Bay and Sacred Rock.

This beach is very small and gets extremely crowded later in the morning!

On the other side of the road, theres a beautiful stretch of beach, where you can easily find a quiet spot of your own!

This was just another great beach day, on this amazing South Pacific cruise!

We sadly made our departure at 5:00pm once again, to start our two day sail back to Sydney, with a 06:30 am departure.

As we were spending the day and evening again in Sydney, we enjoyed a leisurely breakfast, and were among the last to disembark later in the morning.

This was a fabulous cruise and one that I would certainly do again.

The weather was absolutely perfect, and with calm seas the entire voyage. We would certainly cruise with Royal Caribbean again.

The staff were wonderful, food was great, and the nightly entertainment was outstanding!

I highly recommend including some sort of cruise vacation into your holiday plans when visiting Australia.

Survivor Reality Television Series Vanuatu

We then drove a short way to the location, where the hit reality television series Survivor took place one season in Vanuatu. The series was filmed here in 2004 and called Island of Fire.

The hut used for the show is now a bar for tourists visiting. The beach was pleasant and very quiet. There really wasnt anything to see, so it was quite boring.

I did go for a quick swim for something to do, and then we carried on to town.

We made a brief stop at a lookout for pictures, and then a quick drive through the town center.

We returned back to the ship by 3:00 pm for a 5:00 pm departure.

Our driver and tour guide were very boring, and driving at least 110 120 km per hour on the small 2 lane highway the entire time.

Definitely not worth the expense for us, and the tour did not start off well at all.

We waited in the mini bus for ½ hr after coming off the ship. We were driven to another meeting place, and waited another 20 minutes for two other people.

Boring!!
