Disney Cruise Line Reveals Details Of New Port Canaveral
Disney Cruise Line announced a boatload of details Thursday for its fifth cruise ship Disney Wish coming to Port Canaveral in 2022, including immersive spaces from Star Wars, Marvel and Frozen, plus a marquee attraction starring Mickey & Minnie Mouse that the line is calling its first attraction at sea.
The water ride called the AquaMouse takes a similar space on the ship as the AquaDuck water coasters on the older Disney Dream and Fantasy, but this one will be a combination of fast sections and a lazy river. Its all themed to the mouse duo running an excursion company named Port Misadventures while watching a new animated short called Scuba Scramble that plays out through oversized virtual portholes during the ride.
The 760 feet of water-filled tubes that is going to take you all around the upper decks, its higher than ever before, its longer than ever before, said Laura Cabo with Disney Imagineering. It has so many different varieties of moments where youre pushed up and down and into a lazy river as well. Its really going to be absolutely fantastic.
So the beginning promises to be slow and immersive, but then ends with a run that includes passing over the top decks, through the funnel and out over the edge of the ship.
The top decks will also feature six pools and a Toy Story-themed water playground. For adults, the line has segregated an area called Quiet Cove with an infinity pool alongside a whirlpool spa, bar and cafe.
Disneys Newest Cruise Ship Will Make Even Non
Disney Wish, Disneys newest and most magical cruise yet, will set sail as early as June 2022. Travelers of all ages and interests will find something to love on this cruise. Youngsters will love the water activities, and adults will enjoy swanky and exclusive dining options.;
The recently debuted cruise is enchantment-themed, and cruisers will sense the magic every which way they turn.;

The Disney Wish will set sail on its maiden 5-night voyage to Nassau, The Bahamas, and Disneys Castaway Cay on June 9th, 2022. Its inaugural season will feature 3- and 4- night cruises to the same ports of call. Disney Cruise Line Restart Updates And Protocols
The four Disney Cruise Line ships have been steadily getting ready for their respective restarts. The first two ships to start operations for the cruise line did so already in August. The Disney Magic has been sailing on hugely popular UK cruises and repositioning to PortMiami towards the end of October.
She will start sailing four and five-night voyages to Mexico and the Bahamas on October 28. Disney Dream, in the meantime, has been cruising around the Bahamas from Port Canaveral on a 3-day and 4-day itinerary.
The following Disney Cruise Line ship to return to service will be Disney Wonder sailing from San Diego, California, on October 1. The cruise ship will start with three-night sailings featuring a stop at Ensenada, Mexico, and a day at sea; the ship will also be sailing on 4-night cruises, which will feature two days at sea and a stop at Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
For all sailings onboard the Disney ships all guests 12 years old and up must be fully vaccinated. Children 11 and younger will have to provide a negative PCR test taken within three days from departure, and provide a negative test result at the pier. Guests will also undergo an additional rapid test before boarding.

A new “Star Wars”-themed lounge called the Hyperspace Lounge will make;passengers feel like they’re having a beverage on a luxury;spaceship. The window behind the bar shows scenes of outer space with planets and spaceships flying by in the background. They’ll visit Batuu, Tatooine and more. Truly a Galaxy far, far away.

Disney Fantasy Returns To Service
The Disney Fantasy is now back in action, having sailed on Saturday from Port Canaveral, and becoming the second Disney Cruise Line ship to resume service in North America.
Following the Disney Dream, , the 2,500-guest vessel is offering a series of short cruises to Bahamas. The four-night voyages include one day at sea and two stops at Castaway Cay, Disneys private island destination.
According to Disney Cruise Line, Castaway Cay is consistently rated by its guests as their favorite port of call.
Located on a 1,000-acre island, the destination features one-of-a-kind areas and activities for every member of the family, according to Disney, while celebrating its natural beauties which include crystal-clear turquoise waters, powdery white sand beaches, palm trees and lush landscapes.
After the initial Bahamas sailings, the Disney Fantasy is resuming seven-night and longer voyages on October 9. Sailing from Port Canaveral, the itineraries feature stops in Mexico, The Bahamas and more.
Currently the newest ship in Disneys fleet, the Disney Fantasy entered in service in 2012. Christened by the singer Mariah Carey, the vessel was built in Germany by the Meyer Werft shipyard.
Among Fantasys highlights is the AquaDuck, a 765-foot long, twisting-and-turning suspended water coaster; and the Animator’s Palate, a dining room that comes alive with scenes from Disney movies with characters such as Mickey Mouse, Jiminy Cricket, Cinderella and Snow White.

For The Kids: The Oceaneer Club
Children will also enjoy a feature called the Oceaneer Club, which hasn’t been utilized on any of Disney’s previous four cruise ships.
Sticking with the first-of-its-kind theme, children enter through a secret entrance that essentially looks like a small, round portal. Upon entering, it turns into a slide that whisks them into the Oceaneer Club. Sorry adults, it’s not for you. They noted there will also be an adult entrance its called a door.
The Oceaneer Club is for children ages 3 to 12 and has several unique experiences.
The Superhero Academy will allow young passengers to train with some of their favorite characters, such as Spider-Man, Black Panther, Ant Man and The Wasp, and they;can also choose and make their own superhero costumes.
In Fairy Tale Hall,;they’ll will be able to enjoy the Rapunzel art studio, where they can make their own pictures;;the Belle library themed for “Beauty and the Beast;” and Anna and Elsas Summerhus themed for “Frozen.”
The third new feature for kids is the Imagineering Interactive Lab. Here, they can design their own roller coaster, then ride it virtually.

Jimmy Lynett, a Disney Cruise Line cruise director, said during a media panel about the Wish ship that the attraction is Disney’s first “Frozen” dining experience.
“We’re going to be bringing to life the engagement celebration that our guests are invited to between Anna and Kristoff,” Lynett said.
Guests can expect sing-alongs, table-side activities, and light effects that are designed to mimic the aurora borealis.;

First Image Released For New Disney Cruise Line Ships
Disney Cruise Line has revealed what its three new ships will look like.
The first rendering for the new ships expected in 2021, 2022 and 2023 look very similar to whats currently at sea.
The same black-white-and-red color scheme with golden flair is seen, and while it doesnt look exactly like the popular AquaDuck water coaster that is on both Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy, there is some sort of tube-like feature running between the two funnels.
In keeping with the distinct Disney Cruise Line style, the new ships will embody the elegance and romance of the golden age of ocean cruising with unique touches all their own, reads a press release from the cruise line. The Wish Will Include Another New Restaurant Called 1923 Where Guests Can Enjoy A Meal Surrounded By Hundreds Of Disney Artifacts
Named for the year that The Walt Disney Company was founded, the 1923 restaurant celebrates the golden age of Hollywood and the magic of Disney animation.
Weiss said that the restaurant will house 900 props, maquettes, film cells, hand sketches, models, and other relics from Disney’s history.;
“Guests will reside in this high-style Hollywood grand environment, but they will be surrounded by the instruments, the tools, and the history of The Walt Disney Studio,” Weiss said.
According to Disney, the 1923 menu will include Asian, European, and South American-inspired flavors.
