Getting There By Public Transit

If you don’t have a lot of luggage, you can take the Link Light Rail to the Westlake Center Stop in downtown Seattle and use a cab or ride-hailing service to get to the cruise terminals from there. Be advised, though, it’s a quarter-mile walk from the north end of the main airport terminal to the light rail station and there are not many easy spots for pick-ups on the street at the Westlake Center stop in town. After getting off the train you’ll want to head to the Mayflower Park Hotel, adjacent to Westlake Center, or the Westin Seattle, a block away from Westlake Center, to catch a ride.

What are people saying about travel services in Seattle, WA?

This is a review for travel services in Seattle, WA:

“These guys are great! Parking is inside the chain link/barbed wire topped parking lot at the National Guard Armory so we felt very secure. They were there to greet us, helped us unload our suitcases into the shuttle and we were at the cruise dock in 5-10 minutes. They gave me their card with instructions to call as we were just about out of the cruise facility on our return and by the time we got outside to the pickup area they were driving up. Their shuttle vans are kept clean and their staff is professional and personable. Also, we were able to book the parking ahead of time which was a big peace of mind and we felt their prices were reasonable.”

    Things To Keep In Mind

Although Seattle is geared toward welcoming visitors and has many hotel rooms to choose from, we recommend you make your reservations in advance, especially during the busy periods for cruises or during festivals when hotels might be booked up. This will help ensure you are able to get your preferred hotel and room type.

We also recommend you call the hotel you are interested in to check the availability of their Park & Cruise packages as there may be a limited number of rooms available with this offer and some hotels may only offer this option if you make the reservation directly with them.

Airport Parking Lots For A Cruise

If youre like us, you might be surprised at the extra expense of parking your car while you cruise, especially when airport parking is considerably cheaper. Weve found several airport lots that charge as little as $6-8 per day near the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.

Its tempting to consider these lots as a way to save some cash, but keep in mind the distance between the airport and the cruise port. Any money saved on parking will likely be eaten up by the cost of commuting to your ship. For reference, a Lyft ride from the airport to the cruise port runs about $40 each way or $80 roundtrip.

Find And Compare Cheap Car Rental Deals

Avoid rushing to catch a cruise at the cruise port and looking for parking. Select from a variety of park and cruise packages in the Seattle cruise port area hotels. For one low price enjoy one night at a nearby hotel, shuttle service to and from the cruise port and car parking at the hotel while you travel. Park and cruise packages allow you to catch your cruise relaxed and rested and without the stress of rushing to the cruise port, getting stuck in traffic and looking for cruise port parking that is more expensive than a good park and cruise package. Transportation Between Seatac Airport And Seattles Cruise Terminals

Seattles SeaTac Airport is 15 miles south of downtown Seattle and the cruise ship terminals. The easiest way from the airport to the cruise terminal is to arrange for town car, limo, or SUV pickup. Seattle Town Car are reliable, dont cost much more than a cab or a ride app, offer child and infant car seats, and curbside pick up will save you the trek to the taxi/rideshare zone with all of your luggage.

Shuttle Express provides shuttle service straight to the pier for $44/person, or in a combination hotel/pier shuttle transport package for an additional $10 each. Due to the per person fare, if youre traveling with a lot of adults, it will be cost-effective to choose a town car kids travel free on a shuttle, one per adult.

Taxis are easy to find and generally plentiful at SeaTac airport, located on the third floor of the airport parking garage. After collecting your luggage, go up one level, take the skybridge across to the parking garage, and then the elevator/escalator down one level to 3. There are clearly marked signs along the way to help you get there.

Rideshare apps like Uber and Lyft are now allowed to pick up at SeaTac, as well with the addition of a $5 airport fee. The rideshare pickup zone is located on the third floor of the parking garage, near the taxi stand .

The Warwick Seattle HotelThe Warwick is one of the few hotels we found downtown that offers cruise parking. The Warwick Park & Cruise deal includes parking for up to 8 days along with a full breakfast for two. Hilton Seattle Airport and Conference Center Like its DoubleTree cousin, this hotel is a little nicer and a perfect place for those who plan to drive in to the area for their cruise. The hotel offers several different packages, but for those looking for parking, there is the Park N Cruise deal. This package gives you parking included in the rate for eight nights, plus a round trip ride to and from the cruise port. One thing to note: During our search we found this package for about $170 more than the normal base rate. At that rate, it is not a discount versus parking at the port.

    Getting There From The Airport

Passengers on cruises departing from Seattle usually fly into Seattle-Tacoma, known as SeaTac. You can usually prearrange a shuttle van or bus from the airport to your ship through your cruise line or travel agent.

Shuttle Express offers both airport-to-pier round trip service and a package that includes rides from the airport to a downtown hotel, from the hotel to either pier and from the piers back to the airport.

Seattle can also be reached via taxi/rideshare or Link Light Rail. Traffic can be unwieldy at times, and parking equally difficult — therefore, we wouldn’t recommend renting a car to access the port, unless you have additional time before your cruise and fancy a day trip to Mt. Ranier National Park, for example .

Taxis are readily available at SeaTac taxi stands in the North and South Parking Garages. With tip, it can cost roughly $50 to take a cab from the airport to the Bell Street Cruise Terminal at Pier 66 and at least $60 to Smith Cove Cruise Terminal at Pier 91. Prices may be higher during heavy traffic.

Where To Grab A Bite Or Last Minute Essentials

At both terminals, cruise lines sometimes provide complimentary water, juice or other refreshments for passengers. For a more substantive meal, Anthony’s Pier 66 & Bell Street Diner is located right where it says it is, and next to the Bell Street cruise terminal. Cafe Opla, an American-Vietnamese breakfast restaurant , is across the street at 2200 Alaskan Way and closes by 2:30 p.m. Homemade biscuits and brews are also within walking distance at Honest Biscuits and Old Stove Brewing, respectively.

Beer is not a far walk from Pier 91, either, with Holy Mountain Brewing Company less than a mile from the ship. Tacos, bakeries and a specialty chocolate shop called Chocolopolis round out some of Seattle’s nearby culinary offerings close to the Smith Cove terminal.

Last-minute toiletries are for sale at the nearby Edgewater Hotel and the Seattle Waterfront Marriott hotel, across the street near the Bell Street Terminal at Pier 66.

There are no ATM machines inside either cruise terminal.
