Most luxury cruise lines allow kids, though they often don’t cater to them the way the larger lines do. Viking, however, doesn’t allow children at all.
The company previously welcomed kids aged 12 and older to cruise, but as of 2018, all guests must be 18 or older to board.

Onboard The Wish Passengers Can Ride The First Disney Attraction At Sea The Aquamouse
Many cruise ships have water slides, but most don’t have music, characters, and special effects.
According to Disney, when passengers board the 760-foot-long AquaMouse, a water attraction on the Disney Cruise Line Wish ship, they’ll get to experience one of two original storylines.
“Scuba Scramble” will take riders on an underwater adventure with Mickey and Minnie, and on “Swiss Meltdown,” passengers are on a race against the sun to make it to the top of the Matterhorn mountain before the snow melts.
The action plays out on a series of video screens in the conveyor belt area that takes the raft up before passengers come splashing down, according to Disney.
Best Disney Cruise Ship Rooms
The Disney ships all offer different types of staterooms from interior cabins to concierge suites. However, the sizes and prices of these rooms can vary based on the ship.
The price difference between room categories on the Disney Magic and Wonder tends to be higher than that on the Dream and Fantasy.

Splash pad with a fun Toy Story theme for kids ages 3 and under. Water spurts all over coming up from the floor and jetting from replicas of characters from the Pixar short titled Partysaurus Rex.
Characters such as Woody and Buzz Lightyear are re-imagined as enormous rubber bath toys. These characters move and spray water.

When Disney Wish launches in summer 2022, its Concierge Wish Tower Suite will be one of the most sought-after cabins afloat. Why? Because its housed in the ships iconic red funnel.
The 1,966-square-foot Tower Suite on Disney Wish is a two-story suite with four bedrooms and 4.5 baths, including two masters with tub, double sinks, and glassed-in rain shower.
The living room has a sitting area and dining space, pantry and wet bar with a wine fridge, and floor-to-ceiling windows. The décor is inspired by the Disney movie Moana, but maintains a sophisticated style. The suite comes with all the perks: 1,000-thread-count Frette cotton linens, pillow menu, free Wi-Fi, concierge service, priority boarding and tendering, and access to the Concierge Lounge and VIP sun deck.
What dont you get with this enormous cruise ship suite? A balcony. The funnel location is unique, but it doesnt allow for private outdoor space.

What Will The Disney Wish Chandelier Look Like
Disney Wish will have a three-story Grand Hall that is built to enchant guests. In the Grand Hall, there will be a statue of Cinderella, and a dazzling chandelier.
The chandelier will be a centerpiece for special effects, dramatic show lighting, and is expected to shimmer and even shower pixie dust upon those that gaze upon it.

Named for the year that The Walt Disney Company was founded, the 1923 restaurant celebrates the golden age of Hollywood and the magic of Disney animation.
Weiss said that the restaurant will house 900 props, maquettes, film cells, hand sketches, models, and other relics from Disney’s history.
“Guests will reside in this high-style Hollywood grand environment, but they will be surrounded by the instruments, the tools, and the history of The Walt Disney Studio,” Weiss said.
According to Disney, the 1923 menu will include Asian, European, and South American-inspired flavors.

The Disney Dream Class Ships
The newest Disney cruise ships are 40% larger than the Disney classic ships. The Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy are 1,147 feet long. They can carry a maximum of 4,000 passengers at full capacity and have 1458 crew members.
These are known as the Disney Dream Class Ships.

Though mass Covid-19 outbreaks early in the pandemic exposed health concerns surrounding cruising, a new survey indicates travelers may not abandon ship travel after all.
Before the pandemic, 2% of prior cruisers said they wouldn’t cruise again, while as of August 2021, 4% said the same, according to an ongoing survey conducted by U.S. News & Report.
The pandemic hasn’t scared off non-cruisers either. Pre-pandemic, 62% of people who had never cruised indicated they wanted to try it. Now, 61% of people say the same.
Sentiments may be softening with time too. Before the pandemic, about 10% of people that had never cruised said they “never” would. According to the survey, this number rose to 17% in June 2021, but fell to 14% by August.

The newest cruise ships use liquefied natural gas rather than diesel. LNG is a relatively new fuel source for cruise ships and is used to power the latest ships such as P& O Cruises Iona and Costa Smeralda.
LNG has a lower fuel density than diesel, so a vessel using LNG needs to have twice as much tank space available. LNG-powered cruise ships store fuel across three tanks. Two of the tanks are 115 feet long and 26 feet in diameter, the other is 91 feet long with a diameter of 16 feet.
