Disney Wonder To Resume Sailing From California Oct 1 2021
Disney Cruise Line is planning to resume sailings for the Disney Wonder on Oct. 1, 2021. These include California sailings, as well as the Panama Canal Sailing on Nov. 5, 2021. Galveston, Texas sailings will be announced at a later date.
Please note that on California sailings, Guests ages 12 years and older must be fully vaccinated. Guests 11 years of age and younger are not required to be vaccinated, but must provide proof of a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken between 3 days and 24 hours prior to sailing. Additionally, ALL Guests regardless of age and vaccination status must take a Disney Cruise Line-paid PCR COVID-19 test administered by Inspire Diagnostics at the terminal before boarding. For back-to-back sailings, ALL Guests regardless of age and vaccination status must take a PCR COVID-19 test administered by Inspire Diagnostics at the terminal after debarking the ship from their first cruise and before re-boarding for their second cruise.
Fully vaccinated Guests who wish to disembark the ship while in a port of call can do so without the need to purchase a Disney Cruise Line Port Adventure. Guests who are vaccinated and wish to disembark the ship with unvaccinated children will need to purchase a Disney Cruise Line Port Adventure.
As part of the relaunch of the Disney Wonder, two California sailings are being cancelled:
- 2-night sailing on Sept. 24
- 5-night sailing on Sept. 26

Excluded From Vacation Fare
The Resort portion of the fare does not include meals, beverages or any other item of a personal nature. The cruise portion of the fare does not include airfare, ground or baggage transfers, fuel supplements, shore excursions, sightseeing or meals ashore in the ports of call, gratuities, alcoholic beverages, soft drinks, bottled water, laundry or valet services, or any other items not specifically included. Disney Cruise Line Refund Policies
Disney Cruise Line’s refund policies can get a bit complicated, so it helps to understand what you are entitled to and under what circumstances.
Disney is offering relaxed policies for final payments and cancellations through September 30, 2021, as well as the flexibility to change dates on select sailings. Standard refund policies are based on length of cruise, category booked, and time remaining before sailing, as outlined below.
Disney Cruise Line Itineraries More Than 7 Nights
In order to comply with the CDC Conditional Sail Order, Disney has had to cancel some sailings which were more than 7 nights.
So far there have been 3 cruises affected by these changes:
This sailing has been replaced with a 3-night Bahamian sailing and a 6 night Western Caribbean sailing. Both of these options are available to book from December 21, 2021.
Guests who were already booked on this sailing will be offered a 10% discount on the cost of either the 3 or 6-night replacement itinerary.
For guests who were already paid in full, they can choose either a 125% future cruise credit to be used for a future sailing prior to May 31, 2022, or a full refund.
2. The Disney Wonder was due to sail on 28 June 2021 on a 9-night Alaskan cruise from Vancouver. This has been replaced with a 7-night cruise from Vancouver.
For guests who were already paid in full, they can choose either a 125% future cruise credit to be used for a future sailing prior to May 31, 2022, or a full refund.
Guests who were booked on the 9 night cruise can also opt for a 10% discount on the replacement 7 night cruise.

Details Of The Disney Future Cruise Credit
The Future Cruise Credit is equal to 125% of the original voyage fare plus the cost of the Vacation Protection Plan, if you have purchased this.
The Future Cruise Credit is only valid for sailings departing up to September 30, 2022. This is a change from the original policy and extends the date out further for rebookings.
The original reservation must be paid in full to be eligible for the Future Cruise Credit. This means that if you cancel prior to Disney canceling you are not eligible for the 125% Future Cruise Credit.
The FCC is applied per person and is non-transferable, non-refundable and has no cash value and may be divided across multiple sailings.
Standard cancellation policies and terms and conditions apply to future sailings. Guests who previously received an FCC are not eligible for an additional FCC.
If your future sailing costs more than your FCC you will be responsible for the balance. If it costs less then any excess will be applied as an On-Board Credit.
When you rebook your cruise using your FCC you will pay the standard rate at the time that you rebook. We have no way of predicting how prices for Disney Cruises will change in the coming months, so it may be that they become more expensive, or even that they are reduced.

Regent Seven Seas Cruises
Passengers who book a voyage between Sept. 1 and Nov. 30 with a departure date through Oct. 31, 2021, can cancel up to 15 days before departure without penalty. Theyll receive a future cruise credit that can be used through Dec. 31, 2022. Passengers who booked cruises for the coming year before Sept. 1 were offered different cancellation policies in some cases.
Regent has canceled all sailings through Dec. 31. In addition, the line has canceled its 2021 world cruise and all voyages on Seven Seas Mariner through April 2021. Passengers on affected sailings can choose between a full refund or a future cruise credit in the amount of 125% of the fare paid for the canceled trip. The credit can be applied to any voyage through Dec. 31, 2022.

Baggage Valuables And Other Possessions
Each Guest may bring aboard the ship a reasonable amount of clothing and personal effects without charge, not to exceed 2 bags per person. All Guest baggage must be stored in the Guest’s stateroom and must be labeled with the Disney Cruise Line baggage tag. Dangerous or illegal articles such as weapons, explosives, liquid oxygen, combustible substances or nonprescription controlled substances may not be brought to Walt Disney World® Resort or taken aboard the ship. Any such items shall be surrendered to the Master of the ship at embarkation, and may be disposed of at the sole discretion of the Master. Disney Cruise Line Cancels July 2021 Sailings From Us Ports
Disney Cruise Line guests with sailings booked in July 2021 abord the Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy have been informed that all July sailings from the United States have been cancelled. In correspondence to those who had booked, Disney Cruise Line cites discussions with the Centers for Disease Control as the reason for the cancellation.
Guests who had paid in full are offered a 125% future cruise credit or a full refund. Those who prefer the credit will see it automatically applied to their account. Disney Cruise Line urges guests to contact their travel agent to make new reservations. Guests that made partial payments will receive a refund equal to what they have paid.
July Magic at Sea sailings aboard the Disney Magic have not been addressed in this notice, and appear to still be bookable for guests residing in the U.K.

The July departure cancellation news comes on the heels of positive news regarding the upcoming Disney Wish. The newest ship enters service in 2022 with an amazing Moana-themed suite, the AquaMouse attraction, and a Star Wars Hyperspace Lounge.

When Will Disney Cruises Sail Again
There is so much speculation about when Disney Cruises will sail again but right now we simply do not know the answer.
The CDC had issued guidelines that require compliance before each cruise ship is issued a Conditional Sailing Certificate.
However, this has now been overturned as a requirement following the State of Floridas recent ruling against the CDC.
The position now is that the test sailings are a recommendation, but cannot be a requirement.
The Disney Dream was due to set sail on a test cruise on June 29, 2021 with 300 volunteer crew acting as passengers. However, Disney Cruise Line published this statement via ABC:
The Disney Dream had been scheduled to set sail Tuesday from Port Canaveral, Florida, with 300 employees who had volunteered for the simulation cruise. But the trip was postponed until next month, pending approvals, because a small number of employees had inconsistent results for COVID-19, which is considered positive by the CDC.
It interesting to see that the Disney Dream sailings have been canceled to August 4, whilst for the other ships, it is quite a bit later. Perhaps this is a sign that there is some hope that the Disney Dream will sail first.
The Disney ships will of course have to return to their respective ports and have a full crew. This again takes some time to set up the logistics of this.
Some Things To Consider
Neither the State Department nor the CDC has ordered Americans to stop cruising. But they have strongly advised against it at least until the worst of the coronavirus outbreak has subsided.
The two agencies issued advisories in early March that were very clear in their wording: Americans should not cruise for now. Both cited early evidence that the coronavirus can spread particularly fast on a cruise ship.
Recent reports of COVID-19 on cruise ships highlight the risk of infection to cruise ship passengers and crew, said the CDC, which released a list of 21 cruise ships where passengers may have been exposed to coronavirus before lines began shutting down. Like many other viruses, COVID-19 appears to spread more easily between people in close quarters aboard ships.
Both agencies also warned cruisers that the U.S. government might not be able to evacuate them from foreign countries if they get caught up in a coronavirus-related quarantine situation. The U.S. government evacuated several hundred passengers from a Princess Cruises vessel in Japan, the Diamond Princess, that experienced a coronavirus outbreak in February.
While the U.S. government has evacuated some cruise ship passengers repatriation flights should not be relied upon as an option for U.S. citizens under the potential risk of quarantine by local authorities, the State Department said.

American Queen Steamboat Company
American Queen has canceled all sailings through the end of the year. Passengers on the canceled sailings can choose between a future cruise credit for 125% of the amount they paid or a full refund. Future cruise credits must be used by the end of 2022.

Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line
Bahamas Paradise is not currently operating and is no longer taking bookings for future sailings.
Passengers on sailings that were canceled earlier this year could choose between a full refund or a future cruise credit in the amount of 125% of what they paid for the canceled sailing. The credit must be used by the end of 2021.

Disney Cruise Line Pricing And Reservations
It is absolutely impossible to predict the price youll pay for your Disney Cruise, as there are several factors that influence this. First is the time of year that you will be cruising. Spring and Fall are usually the best time to find deals.

What Other Cancelations Should You Be Aware Of
Once your hotel reservations are squared away, you will want to make sure you cancel any other Disney World reservations that would be associated with a no-show fee. This includes Advance Dining Reservations, which ask for a Credit Card guarantee upon booking. In those situations, guests will be charged $10 per guest for a no-show or for cancelations made within 1 day prior to the reservation.
If you made any additional special non-dining reservations, then you should cancel those as well at the time you cancel your vacation. This includes Savis Workshop in Star Wars: Galaxys Edge, which charges the full product price if you are a no-show .

Disney Cruise Date Flexibility Explained
- You must have booked before July 31, 2021
- Your reservation must be for a cruise scheduled to sail on or before December 31, 2021
- If you meet these 2 conditions you can change your sail date up to 15 days prior to your scheduled sailing date.
- You can change to a sailing that commences prior to September 30, 2022. Standard prevailing rates will apply. Future cruise credits cannot be applied to the Disney Wish maiden voyage, setting sail on June 9, 2022.
- Guests cannot change their reservation back to the original sail date after taking advantage of this offer.
- If you cancel your new sail date, cancellation fees will be the greater of a) cancellation fees that would have been applicable to the original sail date or b) cancellation fees applicable to the new sail date.
