Day : Kotor Montenegro
Most of the first full day of the cruise from Venice to Greece is spent on the water. We took full advantage of the late port stop and explored the ship. As we were getting closer to Kotor, we took in all the beauty of the mountains.
At 2pm we arrived at our first port being Kotor in Montenegro. Kotor is located between the mountains and the Bay of Kotor on the Adriatic Sea and is listed as a UNESCO World Natural and Historical Heritage Site. Despite only having 6 hours in port , you get the opportunity to stroll the cobbled streets, admire the old buildings and explore the gorgeous little cafes and shops.
Optional Norwegian Star Excursions Kotor
The Norwegian Cruise Line Greece, has a few organized tours that you may wish to join, including:
- Kayaking the Adriatic Coastline: Over 3.25 hours explore the waters of the Bay of Kotor by kayak.
- Boka Bay Catamaran Sail & Beach
- The Bay of Kotor Tuk Tuk Tour
- Historic Kotor & Budva-Kilims Story
- Kotor, Perast & Our Lady of the Rock
- Easy Kotor & Perast
- Budva and Kotor Montenegrin Pearl
In Kotor, we did the Budva and Kotor Montenegrin Pearl tour. Once we arrived at the port we met our guide at the port of Kotor. Before driving to the town of Budva we drove to view Sveti Stefan, once a 15th-century fortified town on an island.

Travel Tips For Greece Trips
There’s no question about it: Greece always makes a great getaway. In recent years, especially, it’s become a clear traveler favorite. Summer is the most popular time for visitors, when the islands in particular tend to become especially crowded with sun-seeking adventurers.
If you have the flexibility to travel at other times of the year, the best time to visit Greece is in the off-season. When temperatures are cooler, you’ll be able to immerse yourself in the true essence of the country. Check out one of our Greece guided tours, A Week in Ancient Greece: Athens, Delphi & Olympia, which is specifically designed to make the most of the cooler months.
Certain islands aren’t accessible during the winter, but this time of year is excellent for visiting the mainland. Island hop between Mykonos and Santorini in the fall and spring for the ultimate Greek getaway.

Following the Norwegian Jade, Norwegian Encore is set to return to service from the U.S. on Aug. 7, 2021 when it debuts in Seattle for its inaugural season of Alaska cruises.
Norwegian Jades immersive Greek Isles itinerary will be available until November 2021, spending eight-to-nine hours each day exploring some of Greeces most picturesque islands, including Crete, Mykonos, Rhodes and Santorini.
