- From North – take I-95 South, drive eastbound I-395 . Continue driving on I-395 East . The entrance of Port Miami Tunnel is on the left. Follow the signs to your Cruise Terminal.
- From North – take I-95 South. Exit 3B-Bayside. Drive south to Northeast 5th Street, turn left. 5th Str leads onto PortMiami Bridge. Continue over the bridge and follow the signs to your terminal.
- From South – take SR-826 North to SR-836 East. Drive eastbound on SR-836 to I-395 East . Continue driving on I-395 East . The entrance of Port Miami Tunnel is on the left. Follow the signs to your Cruise Terminal. You can also take I-95 North and drive eastbound I-395 .
- From South – take I-95 North. Exit at Northwest 2nd Street. Drive straight to NW 5th Street, make a right. 5th Str leads onto PortMiami Bridge. Continue over the bridge and follow the signs to your terminal.
- From Miami Beach – take I-395 , drive westbound, exit on Biscayne Blvd ramp and make U-turn on North Bayshore Drive to enter MacArthur Causeway eastbound. Then continue on I-395 East .
- Parking rates – USD 20.00 per day. All parking lots are outdoor and located in front their corresponding terminals. Special arrangements are offered for cruise passengers with disabilities.

Virgin Voyages Terminal V
On November 28, 2018, Richard Branson and Tom McAlpin officially announced in Miami City company’s plans to build a new cruise terminal in PortMiami.
“Virgin Voyages Terminal” is a 3-story building located on PortMiami’s northwestern side . Approval for the project was given on Sept 20, 2019, with subsequent berthing agreement deal.
Construction works started in October 2019, with scheduled completion in November 2021. The USD 150 million facility was officially renamed from “Terminal H” to “Terminal V”. Virgin Voyages has brand’s name on a for-profit train connecting Miami with West Palm Beach . Virgin’s cruise operations from PortMiami were planned to start in April 2020 with Scarlet Lady.
In late-October 2019 was approved the agreement for Brightline Miami to be rebranded “Virgin Trains” and Virgin Group to build a train station at the cruise port. The new station serves high-speed trains and connects PortMiami directly with the USA’s intercity railway system and Orlando International Airport. Construction works on Virgin Trains PortMiami are scheduled for completion in 2022.
PortMiami’s “Terminal V” was officially opened/inaugurated on February 13, 2022. The ceremony was attended by Richard Branson, Tom McAlpin and Daniella Levine Cava .
Safety Requirements Onboard Symphony Of The Seas
Symphony of the Seas recently completed her test sailing before shewas awarded the Conditional Sailing Certificate by the CDC. She departed from PortMiami on August 1 for a 3-day voyage which included a visit to a Perfect Day At CocoCay. These test voyages are necessary for the cruise line to perform for each ship if they want to sail with vaccinated and unvaccinated guests.
Despite being able to sail with both vaccinated and unvaccinated guests, Royal Caribbean does strongly encourage all eligible guests age 12 and older to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 before sailing for the Caribbean Cruises. For cruises that include a call to St. Thomas, guests will need to be fully vaccinated.
St. Thomas recently introduced a new rule that all cruise ship passengers that call to the US Virgin Islands must be fully vaccinated. This new protocol is for all guests aged 12 and up. Other health protocols in place onboard include wearing masks anywhere inside the ship, except when eating or drinking or inside a guest cabin.
Outside of the ship, masks are not required unless guests are in areas with many others. Neither are masks required in the pool or any other areas where the mask may get wet, and at Perfect Day at Cococay. Toddlers and infants below two years of age also do not need to wear a mask.

Three Oasis Class Ships Operational After This Weekend
Symphony of the Seas is the second Oasis Class ship to become operational. Earlier this week, Allure of the Seas was the first Oasis-class ship to set sail after more than 500 days of waiting. She welcomed her first guests on August 8, after which she set sail on her first cruise to St. Kitts, St. Thomas, and Perfect day at Cococay.

Harmony of the Seas will be the second Oasis Class ship to set sail this weekend and the third in total. The cruise ship is currently off the coast of Barcelona, waiting to embark her first guests on Sunday, August 15 to begin Mediterranean cruises.
The last Oasis-Class cruise ship to set sail will be the long-awaited return of Oasis of the Seas. She will be calling Cape Liberty cruise port in Bayonne, New Jersey home and sail to the Bahamas and Bermuda from September 5, 2021. However, she will first need to conclude her first test sailing, which will sail on August 22.
The two other cruise ships that Royal Caribbean is resuming with this weekend are Independence of the Seas, starting on August 15, from Galveston, Texas, and Ovation of the Seas started her Alaska cruises on Friday, August 13, sailing from Seattle, Washington.

Sleek and efficient, Terminal A is the largest cruise terminal in the US. It was opened in November 2018 and serves as homeport to Royal Caribbean International.
The 170,000 sq.ft. cruise terminal is capable of accommodating the larger Oasis-class ships of their fleet and includes parking at the terminal for 1000 cars.

Disruptions To Cruise Ship Itineraries Grow As Hurricane Ian Barrels Toward Florida
At least six cruise lines were rerouting ships in the Caribbean and the Bahamas on Monday as a growing Hurricane Ian barreled toward Florida.
In a significant change, Norwegian Cruise Line sent its 2,002-passenger Norwegian Sky to the Eastern Caribbean for the week instead of the Western Caribbean to avoid the storm.
The Miami-based vessel, which departed the city late Sunday, will visit Puerto Rico, St. Thomas, Tortola and the Bahamas this week instead of Grand Cayman, Belize, Honduras and Mexico.

MSC Cruises‘ 4,540-passenger MSC Seashore is also heading to the Eastern Caribbean instead of the Western Caribbean. The Miami-based vessel, which departed the city on Saturday, will visit the Bahamas and the Dominican Republic over the next few days instead of Jamaica, Grand Cayman and Mexico.
At the same time, a New Orleans-based Carnival Cruise Line ship originally scheduled to sail to the Bahamas this week is heading to the Western Caribbean instead. The 2,980-passenger Carnival Glory, which departed from New Orleans on Sunday on a seven-night voyage to Key West, Florida, and Freeport and Nassau in the Bahamas, is now visiting Belize, Honduras and Mexico.

The storm will likely affect more cruise ships over the coming days as it crosses into the Gulf of Mexico and approaches the west coast of Florida.
What Other Cruise Lines Have Made Changes
Carnival canceled three upcoming sailings due to port closures in Jacksonville and Tampa, and Port Canaveral in Florida. The cruise line called off four-day sailings on Carnival Elation and Carnival Paradise from Jacksonville and Tampa, respectively, and a three-day trip on Carnival Liberty from Port Canaveral, spokesperson Matt Lupoli said in an email. Carnival Elation and Carnival Paradise were scheduled to leave Thursday, with Carnival Liberty departing on Friday, and all passengers will get full refunds and 25% future cruise credits.
Carnival Elation also swapped its scheduled visit to Princess Cays for a day at sea Tuesday during a sailing from Jacksonville and visited Freeport in the Bahamas Wednesday in place of a planned sea day.
Carnival Liberty did not stop at Princess Cays either Wednesday during a sailing from Port Canaveral, and Carnival Horizon did not stop at Grand Cayman on its sailing from Miami, opting for a sea day instead.
Carnival Paradise, which is on a sailing from Tampa, extended its Tuesday stop in Cozumel through Wednesday. The ship will stay at sea, heading back to Tampa. “This allows the best opportunity to dock once the port reopens,” Lupoli said.
Carnival Sunrise also skipped a stop in Bimini in the Bahamas Wednesday during a sailing from Miami, spending a day at sea instead. Passengers on its Thursday sailing “are asked to delay their original arrival appointment by 3.5 hours.”
