There’s nothing we love more than learning about new cruise ships. The process, from design to keel laying to launch, generally takes two to three years. Both Royal Caribbean and Carnival offer affordable vacations. If you want to sail the cheapest cruise line, however, then youre better offer with Carnival. We recently analyzed more than 2,500 cruises from across both cruise lines. Royal Caribbean was about $200 higher, coming in at $666.

How Much Does A Celebrity Cruise Cost
Celebrity ships are very reasonably priced. Theyre not the least expensive vessels out there. But theyre not pricey by any means. Its possible to find week-long Celebrity voyage to the Caribbean or even Europe starting under $1,000 per person, not including taxes and fees at least in the offseason.
As of the date of this storys posting, for instance, seven-night sailings from Fort Lauderdale to the Eastern Caribbean in November were starting at just $909 per person, not including taxes and fees of $169.40. That works out to just $154 per night, per person with taxes and fees for a package that includes your lodging, transportation and meals.
For such a rate, youll get a windowless inside cabin on a ship. Cabins with ocean views on the same sailings start at $989 per person, and cabins with balconies on the same sailings will set you back at least $1,249 per person. But thats still not all that much for a cruise.
As you might expect, pricing for ships generally will be lower during offseason periods such as September, October, November and parts of December. You can end up paying considerably more for a cabin during peak summer months or over the winter holidays.
What Is The Biggest Celebrity Ship
Celebrity Cruises‘ largest ship is also its most unique and certainly its most contemporary. The 129,500-ton, 1,004-foot-long Celebrity Edge doesn’t compare in size to cruising’s behemoths, but it does offer innovative accommodations and amenities for as many as 2,918 passengers. It has outside cabins with floor-to-ceiling windows that can convert to traditional balconies at the push of a button, sophisticated bars that serve high-end craft cocktails, more than 15 dining venues, a high-tech theater and several unique lounge spaces — including Eden, which boasts a design based on the Fibonacci Sequence.

Passenger Shipping Pause 2020
Due to the Coronavirus crisis, RCG-Royal Caribbean Group suspended its entire fleet’s passenger shipping operations worldwide by canceling all voyages with pre-scheduled departures in the period March 13, 2020, through June 30, 2021.
Next are listed all Celebrity ships and their first scheduled departure dates/regions in 2021-2022 – APEX , BEYOND , CONSTELLATION , ECLIPSE , EDGE , EQUINOX , INFINITY , MILLENNIUM , REFLECTION , SILHOUETTE , SOLSTICE , SUMMIT . Celebrity Cruises Galapagos ships and their restart dates in 2021 are Flora , Xpedition , Xploration .
- Celebrity’s Australia and New Zealand 2021-2022 programs were canceled .
- All Celebrity repositioning cruises in 2021 were canceled.
- Most Celebrity’s European schedules 2021 were canceled, excluding APEX and SILHOUETTE .
- Celebrity’s South America 2021-2022 program was canceled.
- Celebrity’s Japan 2021-2022 program was canceled.
All affected bookings received full refunds , including on prepurchased through Celebrity Cruises packages and services. The refunds were in FCC to be used on itineraries that depart up to April 30, 2022. The FCC had to be redeemed by December 31, 2021. Changing the FCC to a monetary refund was possible thru December 31, 2020. Celebrity’s Cancellation Policy was extended to allow penalty-free cancellations up to 48 hours prior departure and receive an FCC.
New On Celebrity Beyond
The Celebrity Beyond will also feature some new experiences for guests. One is Le Voyage, an intimate restaurant by world-renowned chef Daniel Boulud. Connected to the Grand Plaza, Le Voyage accommodates just 50 guests. Cuisine is inspired by travel and the global flavors of the Michelin-rated chef. World-class sommeliers will pair perfect wines for guests. Enhancing Le Voyages ambience are the intimate seating cocoons surrounded by luminous portals.
Also new to the Celebrity Beyond are AquaClass SkySuites, which feature floor-to-ceiling ocean views and private verandas. AquaClass guests will receive special wellness amenities, thanks to a partnership Celebrity Cruises has with actress and entrepreneur Gwyneth Paltrow. She serves as the cruise lines new Well-being Advisor. In addition, the wellness amenities will be offered to AquaClass guests across the entire Celebrity fleet .

All Celebrity Cruises Edge
Celebrity Cruises on Tuesday revealed its 2023 European cruising schedule, one that includes all three of Celebrity’s newest Edge-class cruise ships.
Celebrity Beyond , Celebrity Apex, and Celebrity Edge, along with four other Celebrity ships, will all sail out of Europe in 2023, making the year-after-next a big European year for the cruise line. The sailings will range from 4- to 13-nights with more 7-night sailings in Europe than ever before for Celebrity.
The schedule includes ports such as Flam in Norway, Lisbon in Portugal, Kotka in Finland, and Jerusalem in Israel. It also includes the first Celebrity ship to visit Egypt since 2012Celebrity Apex, on a new 10-night sailing around Israel, Egypt, and the Mediterraneanand a first-of-its-kind sailing from Amsterdam to Norwegian Fjords, also on Apex.
Originally scheduled to debut in Fall 2021, Celebrity Beyond will debut as the third of five Edge-class ships for the cruise line. The ship will sport a lot of the same features as its sister ships including the Magic Carpet, along with new wellness, culinary, and entertainment offerings including some from a few well-known personalities including goop CEO and founder Gwyneth Paltrow, Michel-in-starred chef Daniel Boulud, and American designed Nate Berkus.
Who Sails Celebrity Cruises
Celebrity appeals to a somewhat older demographic than some of its best-known rivals in the world of relatively big ships . This is, in part, because its onboard offerings are not aimed at families nearly as much as the onboard offerings of the latter brands.
Unlike Royal Caribbean, Carnival, MSC Cruises and Norwegian, Celebrity doesnt load up the top of its ships with sprawling waterparks, go-kart tracks, laser tag courses and other flashy, family-focused diversions.
Instead of bustling attractions, the top decks of Celebrity ships offer lots of quiet and relaxing pool and lounge areas where you can enjoy the experience of being at sea without a lot of hustle and bustle. Inside, the experience revolves around dining, classic showroom entertainment and a classy bar and music scene just as it has on Celebrity ships for years.
Its the sort of experience that draws a lot of couples in their 40s, 50s and 60s but not necessarily a lot of families. The average age of a Celebrity passenger is a tad north of 50.
Still, while families with younger children usually gravitate to one of the abovementioned lines with more family-friendly activities, that doesnt mean you cant bring your kids on a Celebrity cruise. The line does offer a relatively robust childrens program .

Other Interior Attractions And Activities
In addition to entertainment spaces, the interiors of Celebrity ships are filled with other venues where passengers can kick back and let loose day and night, including some that are quite unusual.
Celebritys two newest ships, Celebrity Edge and Celebrity Apex, for instance, have fanciful, tropical garden-inspired lounge, dining and entertainment areas at their backs called Eden that are like nothing else you will find at sea. At night, so-called Edenists interact with passengers in the venue, performing something that perhaps can best be described as Cirque de Soleil meets Sleep No More. Its entertaining, weird and unlike anything you would expect on a cruise ship.
Soaring three decks high and lined with glass walls, the Eden venue on each of the ships also offers a place to relax or grab a quick bite during the day, in a garden-like setting with stunning views of the ocean. The famed Spanish designer Patricia Urquiola helped create the look of Eden.
Such multi-use venues are a big thing for Celebrity. On Celebritys Solstice Class ships, youll find 200-seat venues called Celebrity Central that can be configured for everything from late-night comedy shows to movie showings, cooking demonstrations and trivia contests. The spaces also are used for lectures by guest speakers.
Every Celebrity ship also has a casino, and spas are big on Celebrity ships. Very big.

The Celebrity Beyonds maiden voyage on April 27, 2022 will depart from Southampton, England. From spring to fall she will be sailing on different itineraries that include the Italian and French Riviera, Greek Islands, Malta and various ports in Italy. From October 2022 to April 2023, she will be offering Caribbean itineraries, sailing to the Bahamas, U.S. Virgin Islands, Mexico and the Cayman Islands.

Childrens And Teen Programming
Expect the same renowned childrens and teen programming on Celebrity Apex that you find throughout Celebritys other ships. However, because Celebrity Apexs godmother is the founder of Girls Who Code, that means there will be additional STEM classes and Girls Who Code-related programming available for kids.
Otherwise, accompany your youngest children to the Toddler Time space and then send the older kids off to Camp at Sea. Children are split into groups, ages 3 to 5, 6 to 9 and 10 to 12.

Celebrity Cruises has revealed the latest of its luxury Edge Series of ships, Celebrity Beyond, which is pitched at those who want to disconnect from the real world and enter one the company says is filled with style, class and relaxation.
The world’s newest cruise ship boasts several impressive features hoping to lure customers back to the seas as soon as the COVID-19 pandemic situation is safe enough to allow it.
Celebrity Beyond was designed by a team including award winning British designer Kelly Hoppen, American designer Nate Berkus, British architect Tom Wright and Paris-based design firm Jouin Manku.
Michelin-starred chef and restaurateur Daniel Boulud is in charge of cuisine.
The ship is also going to feature experiences and products from Gwyneth Paltrow – boss of the controversial Goop brand – who is the Celebrity’s new ‘wellbeing advisor’.
Celebrity Beyond is said to have built on the features and design of its sister ships, Celebrity Edge and Celebrity Apex.
