Banks And Atms In Downtown San Diego
Finding an ATM machine is not a problem in urban San Diego, whether at a bank branch, shopping mall, pharmacy, supermarket or hotel. There are several bank branches with ATM machines on West Broadway, within short walking distance of the Cruise Terminal. These include:

- City National Bank, 501 West Broadway, downtown San Diego .
- California Bank & Trust, 402 West Broadway, downtown San Diego .
- Torrey Pines Bank, 550 West C Street, downtown San Diego .

San Diego Cruise Terminal
San Diego cruise terminal is very close to downtown, being located at B Street Pier . The Airport is just 5 mi from the cruise port.
The âfirst green buildingâ or the Port Pavilion at Broadway Pier also has a terminal.
It is used if more than 4 vessels are in port or if the “B Street” Terminal is not operational .
Both San Diego cruise port terminals offer a wide range of passenger-use facilities. Parking fees are USD 10â20 daily .
B Street Pier has 5x wharves. Wharf 1 and Wharf 2 are on the north side, Wharf 3 is on the west and Wharf 4 and Wharf 5 are on the south side. Wharves 1, 2, 4 and 5 can accommodate bigger cruise liners. Smaller vessels dock at Wharf 3. In October 2017, at B Street Cruise Terminal was installed a new passenger boarding bridge.
Is There Good Parking Close To The San Diego Cruise Port
There are multiple options for long term cruise parking close to the port. This includes many of San Diego’s long term airport parking providers who offer cruise ship shuttles on days that ships are in port as well as cruise parking in garages walking distance to the cruise piers.
Two of the best options for cruise parking are in the BRIC North and South Garages as well as the Wyndham as they are located directly across from where the cruise ships dock and are easy walk, even with bags.

Cruise Ships Will Begin Returning To San Diego This Week Without Passengers

Cruise ships are scheduled to return to the Port of San Diego this week and through the new year, as part of an effort by the cruise lines to reestablish ships in U.S. waters as a prerequisite to resume cruising in a post-COVID-19 world, it was announced Monday.
Five Holland America Line ships and one Princess Cruises ship are scheduled to arrive beginning Wednesday, periodically docking at the B Street Cruise Terminal for fuel, food, supplies and services. At this time, none of the vessels will be carrying passengers or conducting any sailings, according to local port officials.
To resume cruises after the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention deems it safe in light of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the ships must reestablish operations in United States waters to meet CDC and U.S. Coast Guard guidelines.
According to port officials, time spent docked in San Diego will be limited. Each ship is scheduled to dock at B Street the morning of their scheduled arrival date and depart that evening.

Do You Need A Passport For Cruises From San Diego
Yes … and no. Customs and Border Control / Immigration officers coming back to the United States may not always require US Citizens to have a passport when traveling to Mexico or Canada. However, your cruise line will almost always require it. If you do not have a passport though, other documentation is generally required which can be complicated and time consuming or even disruptive if something happens where you need to leave the cruise ship for some reason.
Additionally, while a US Passport Card or even the Secure ID Drivers License cards are great for getting back into the United States at land crossings, we strongly recommend bringing your Passport Book to avoid any issues.

Cruise Ships To Return To San Diego This Fall
Holland America Lines Koningsdam ship arrives at the Port of San Diegos B Street Terminal on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 so dozens of its crew members can get their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
The full reopening of San Diego County means the return of many things locals and visitors like to do, including hopping on a cruise ship for a vacation out of the Port of San Diego.
On Monday, Holland America Line alongside San Diegos Board of Port Commissioners and city and tourism leaders announced its plans to bring cruising back to San Diego this fall.
And, they’re not the only ones. Port of San Diego Chairman Michael Zucchet says the calendar for the fall season is already filling up with names like the Disney Cruise Line and Carnival joining the list.
“We expect to have anywhere from 70 to 80 cruise calls starting in September or October for the season, which is obviously down from pre-COVID levels but thats a fairly healthy come back,” Zucchet says.
The return of the lines cruises will have a big impact on the local economy, which was estimated to have lost $282 million since last March due to canceled cruises.
The Port of San Diego said each ship that docks locally contributes $300,000 to the local economy in provisioning, port taxes, and spending. Holland America Line works with more than 35 local vendors who supply the company and its ships with goods and services.

San Diego Cruise Terminal Information
There are two cruise terminals in downtown San Diego, along the Embarcadero waterfront district. The main Cruise Terminal is located at 1140 North Harbor Drive.
The 2nd Terminal, Port Pavilion at Broadway Pier, which acts as an overflow terminal is located at 1000 North Harbor Drive.
Both cruise terminals are close to hotels, restaurants and shopping.
The newer, architecturally stunning, Port Pavillion acts as a flexible event space and has public access to the waterfront, a visitors centre, and restaurant.; The airport is located 10 minutes away from the cruise piers, and the main train station, only 2 blocks. There is also a waterfront shuttle which operates during the summer, providing rides all day for one low price.;
San Diego is known for its temperate climate and distinct landscape. There are many vibrant neighborhoods such as Old Town and Pointe Loma, located within a few miles of the ship. Little Italy and the Gaslamp district are located within walking distance of the pier.
