How Do I Know Which Cabin To Pick
Which cruise ship room, or cabin, you pick should be determined by what’s most important to you. Is it vital that you be able to sit outside and soak up the tropical rays of the Caribbean without a crowd? If yes, you’ll probably want a cabin with a balcony. Would you just like the least expensive cabin so you can spend more money elsewhere? Check out the windowless inside cabins.
In addition to selecting your cabin type, you’ll also want to look at the cabin’s location. Do you or someone in your room have trouble walking? Then you might want to be located near the elevator. Light sleeper? Make sure you’re not over or under a high-traffic area like a restaurant or the theater.
For more detailed information on cabin selection, check out How to Choose a Cruise Ship Cabin or read reviews of specific ship cabins. Cruise Critic Message Boards are another place to get detailed reviews of specific cabins from members who have sailed in, photographed and sometimes even measured every inch of the cabins you may be considering.
Booking Palo/remy/enchant Excursions Onboard Activities Spa Appointments And Kids Club Online
Disney Cruise Line has an online system that allows guests to make advance reservations for Palo, Remy or Enchanté as well as shore excursions, spa treatments, Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, popular character breakfasts and meetings, and babysitting. In addition, you can do advance registration online for the kids clubs.
In order to use this service, your cruise must be paid in full.
- Platinum Castaway Club members and those who are staying in Concierge cabins can make their online reservations up to 120 days prior to embarkation.
- Gold Castaway Club members can make their online reservations up to 105 days prior to embarkation.
- Silver Castaway Club members can begin making reservations 90 days before embarking.
- All others can go online and make reservations 75 days in advance of departure.
To start making reservations online, register at DisneyCruise.com. Youll need your cruise reservation number. Reservations open just after midnight EST, the exact number of days in advance listed above.
If you are not able to book the restaurant, shore excursion, spa treatment, Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique appointment and/or babysitting time you want, try to get on the ship as early as possible on embarkation day. There will be locations on the ship where you can go in person and try to get your reservations. Some time slots are held back for onboard booking, so you have a decent chance.

Travelers Want To Know How Much Are Disney World Tickets
In the beginning the prices for Disney World tickets were uniform but in 2016 a variable pricing model was implemented, similar to airlines and hotels which charge more during peak seasons. The prices listed below represent the lowest prices at the least busy times of the year.
Disney World has two ticket categories: One for ages 10 and older and one for ages 3 to 9.
The most basic ticket allows a user to visit one of Disney Worlds four theme parks in one day. The more days you purchase, the lower the cost per day. For example, if a one-day ticket is $109, the per-day price can drop to $88 with a five-day ticket.

How To Make A Disney World Payment
For most people, the easiest way to pay a Disney World balance is online. Log in to your account on the Walt Disney World home page and click the My Disney Experience button. Find the booking information under My Reservations and Tickets and follow the prompts to pay the remaining balance with a credit card. Guests who wish to pay by credit card may also do so over the phone by calling the Vacation Package Booking department at 939-7675.
Disney-bound travelers who prefer to pay by check or money order may do so by mail. Include the reservation number on the memo line. Disney requests that guests send their checks or money orders overnight via a courier service like DHL or UPS. Address the envelope to Walt Disney Travel Co., Inc., Bank of America Lockbox Services, Lockbox 409668, 6000 Feldwood Road, College Park, GA 30349.
Want to chip away at the balance over time? Up until 45 days in advance of the trip, make installment payments either online or by phone.
Hump Suites & Concierge Staterooms
On Disneys Dream and Fantasy ships, a few of the 1-Bedroom Suites and Concierge Family Oceanview Staterooms with Verandah have larger verandahs than the others, due to a hump in the shape of the ship on Decks 11 and 12.
- The 1-Bedroom Suites with the larger balconies are 11002, 11006, 12000, 12006, 12012, 12506 and 12512.
- The Concierge Family Oceanview Staterooms with Verandah with the larger balconies are 11004, 12008, 12010, 12508 and 12510.
Note also that 1-Bedroom Suite 12000 is unique. It is situated between the two Royal Suites. A hallway entrance leads to a hallway/mini-foyer with connecting doors to the two Royal Suites. Then you enter through the actual door of the suite. This suite has the largest verandah of any of the 1-Bedrooms and faces straight forward on the ship. Note that the outer part of the verandah is not private, since guests standing in public areas of Deck 13 can look straight down at it.

Getting A Disney Cruise Line Discount
The best way for a return guest to get a discount on the Disney Cruise Line is to book while you are already on a sailing. Youll have two options.
You can either book with the dates that you want to sail, and can choose your exact dates and room. For this, youll need to give a deposit.
Alternatively, you can book a placeholder for a $250 fee. This can be applied to a cruise booked within the next two years. I typically book a placeholder, even if I dont have another cruise planned because its valid for a while.
Depending on the sailing, youll get a discount as well as stateroom credit. To do an onboard booking, youll want to visit the desk on the ship as soon as possible. It can be very busy by the end of your sailing and there is typically a line to talk to a cast member.
Other discounts can sometimes be available for Canadian residents, Florida residents, and members of the military. The Disney Cruise Line special offers page has more specific information on this. They arent always available so youll have to check for details and eligible sailings.

To The Point
You can save money on a Disney cruise, or really any cruise, by taking the journey when the ship is repositioning from one port to another. In some cases, the savings can be more than 50% or more off other similar cruises by simply by looking for the times when the ship is repositioning. Heres an example of how to drop your daily per person day average cost from over $300 to $127 on a Disney cruise

The term Disney usually translates to well-done, but pricy. This translation is said to hold true onboard their cruise ships. Ill find out for myself in a couple of months on our very first Disney Cruise, but there is an easy way to save a lot of money when venturing into the world of cruising that doesnt require any previous cruise experience.

How Much Is A Disney Cruise For A Family Of Four
While Disney cruises arent just for kids, far from it actually, its fair to say that most people taking Disney cruises are families. So lets take a closer look at Disney Cruise Lines family prices
The price of a Disney cruise for a family of four ranges from $2,313 for a two-night cruise from San Diego in an inside cabin, to $27,383 for a 14-night Christmas cruise along the Panama Canal in a concierge stateroom with a verandah.
The average seven-night Disney cruise for a family of four costs around $8,087 for a room with a verandah.
On a Disney cruise, the price for a family of four depends on the ages of your children.
- Children aged 13 and over are charged the full adult fare
- Children aged 3 to 12 are charged the child rate
- Children aged 0 to 2 are charged half of the child rate
Whilst most other cruise lines show the prices per person, Disney Cruise Line shows the total price per stateroom. This can make it almost impossible to know how much youre paying for the adults and how much the child rate is.
Disney Cruise Lines pricing also depends on how many people are sharing a stateroom. All prices are based on two adults in the stateroom So a single parent with one child will pay the same as two adults. Solo cruisers also pay the same as two adults.

Choose Disney If You Want To Hang Out As A Family At Night
Carnival has family-friendly comedy and their revue shows are just fine for young eyes . But when it comes to inclusive evening entertainment, there are many more options for families to hang out as a unit on Disney.; The line offers unrivaled stage productions for all ages, first-run movies in a gorgeous art deco theater, family-friendly performances from onboard guest entertainers and a dedicated space D Lounge that has a bar for the adults but offers trivia, karaoke and games specifically for multigenerational groups.
Or if youve got toddlers who want to use the water park.
Carnival is known for having some of the first ships at sea with a water slide. But for many of the slides, cruisers need to be 42 inches tall. Carnival Waterworks on Vista-class ships offers two unique slides and a splash area for kids, but again, nothing for very small kids or those who arent toilet trained. Disney excels here because they not only offer slides and rides like the AquaDuck, which features a two-person raft for anyone 42 inches tall or over, but they also have an extensive splash zone called the AquaLab. Plus and this is rare Dorys Reef, onboard Disney Wonder, is a gentle splash area thats just for babies who are still in diapers. Disney was also the first cruise line to have lifeguards present at all pools.
Can You Pay For A Disney Cruise In Instalments
When you book a Disney cruise you will pay a deposit of around 20% with the balance due somewhere between 75 days and 120 days before you depart. Disney Cruise Line doesnt offer the option to pay in instalments. However, if you book with a travel agent, they may allow you to set up a monthly payment plan.
I like to book my cruises with Strawberry Holidays and they offer the option to pay monthly.
