This hotel actually has two options for shuttles. The first is their Fly, Snooze, and Cruise which includes transfers from Orlando International Airport to the hotel, then to the port, and then return to the airport after the cruise. The second is the Park and Cruise which includes parking for the duration of the cruise and round-trip shuttle for two to the cruise terminal .
There are a snack shop and an on-site convenience store for last-minute cruise snacks and hot breakfast is included daily.

From MCO, there are several shuttle services, including Busy Traveler Transportation, Cocoa Beach Shuttle,Melbourne Airport Express and Mears. To get an idea of price, we asked for a quote on a one-way trip from MCO to Disney Cruise Line at Port Canaveral. A luxury sedan for a family of four cost $160. Upgrade to an SUV for $188.
There are also plenty of car services to hire. Look locally or go with Groundlink. The estimated cost from MCO to Port Canaveral is about $114 one-way for a standard vehicle that accommodates three people. Add $20 if you need a car seat for a child. A van accommodating up to 10 people priced out at $161.

Lets be honestmost families dont really pack lightly when going on any vacation. This is especially true if you are traveling with babies or toddlers who require so many extra items.

During a recent trip to Orlando, Florida with my family, I realized just how easily this could occur if you fly in the day of your cruise. Our flight home from Orlando was delayed because of lightning in the area.
During this four hour delay, the airport crew members were not cleared to go outside to remove luggage from the plane that had arrived. So even though all of those people were allowed to get off the plane, their bags were going to be about four hours behind them!
This experience made me realize that any of those passengers who were headed to embark on a cruise ship were not going to have their luggage make it on time.

Okay, sometimes you might just want to extend that vacation a little longer. Since many cruises leaving from Port Canaveral are 3 and 4 day cruises, there is no better way to keep the vacation spirit alive than staying at one of the world class theme parks in the area.

Along with better locations, these resorts offer guests Universal Unlimited Express, which lets you skip the line at most attractions and gives you extra hours in the parks. A huge perk, especially if you are only spending a day or two at the parks.

Where To Stay Night Before Cruise In Port Canaveral Area
We are going on a cruise out of Port Canaveral in February 2012. Anyone have suggestions on where to stay the night before… we have two kids ages 9 and 12 that will be with us. Also if you know of best transport co to go from airport-hotel-port that would be fanstastic. Thanks!
There are a number of hotels along highway A1A south of the port. If you want a room on the beach, try the following: LaQuinta Oceanfront, Doubletree, Hampton Inn, Hilton — all nicer hotels within 10 minutes of the cruise terminals.
If you don’t need a room on the beach, try the Country Inn and Suites, Radisson, Holiday Inn Express, or Sheraton.
There are plenty of others in the area, including condo hotels, but those listed above are probably the better ones IMO.
Taxis are affordable because of the small distance. Most of the hotels run shuttle services to the port, either free or for a small charge. Many also offer package deals that include transportaion from the Orlando airport, breakfast, and/or parking for your car while you are on board.
There’s a number of stores nearby for last-minute cruise shopping, including a Walmart , CVS, Walgreen’s, and the Ron Jon Surf Shop flagship store, all open 24 hours. The local mall has Sears, Penny’s , Macy’s, and Dillard’s, and there are Publix and Winn-Dixie stores on A1A.

If the distance to the port is your No. 1 concern, Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Port Canaveral, Florida, is your best bet. Its about three miles, or a six-minute drive, from Norwegians cruise terminal.
Rooms have a microwave and a fridge. Book a cruise parking and shuttle package so you can leave your vehicle at the hotel during your voyage. Double rooms feature two queen beds a bonus over hotels that only offer double beds, a less-than-family-friendly arrangement.

- Get a day room at Hyatt Regency Orlando International Airport. For a modest charge you can use a hotel room from 10:00 am until as late as 6:00 pm and watch TV, use the hotel pool, etc. When flight time rolls around, youre already in the terminal! Call the hotel directly at to book a day room. The Hyatt has a relationship with Disney, so you can arrange Disney transportation to the hotel from the ship, or you can book a private car transfer or rental car if you prefer.
- If you have loads of time, you can rent a car for the day and visit the nearby Kennedy Space Center to explore the NASA exhibits, or play in the sand at Cocoa Beach. Allow at least an hour to drive back to the airport.

There are hotels near the Disney Cruise Line terminal in Port Canaveral, and they may seem like the most convenient option. However, you will need to find transportation to those hotels along with shuttles to the port on embarkation day.
A simple solution if you are flying into Orlando is to book a room at the Hyatt Regency Orlando International Airport. You really cant beat the convenience of this hotel since its located right inside the airport!
If you have ever visited the airport in Orlando, you have probably seen the Hyatt Regencys balconies overlooking the big common area. It is really easy to access this hotel from baggage claim.
After picking up your luggage, just follow the signs for the entrance to the hotel. The short walk only takes about five minutes, and it is super easy even with kids in tow.

Port Canaveral Hotels With Cruise Port Shuttles
While only a few hotels offer packages with shuttles from the Orlando airport to Port Canaveral, many more offer shuttles to the cruise terminal. If you like, you can arrange your own transportation to the hotel and then hop on one of these shuttles to and from the cruise port.
Since most people book parking packages with free transportation included, you might have to pay a small fee to take the shuttle without the package. Uber/Lyft are also available and cost about $10 to get to the port.
Note:If you dont plan to park a car during your cruise, dont book a parking package just for shuttle access. Its much more expensive. Simply pay for the shuttle separate or book an Uber/Lyft.
