Kids Club Age Range On Celebrity Cruise Ships
Camp at Sea is the Celebrity Edges kids club. There are three different sections
- Shipmates 3-5Celebrity
- Captains 10-12 year olds
- Admirals the teen club for 13-17 year olds.
The Camp at Sea program on Celebrity is a new innovation. The schedule of activities changes on every sailing based on the interests the junior cruisers. Celebrity have partnered with world-renowned companies such as Anturus, Lonely PlanetTM, Xbox, Fat Brain Toys and Budsies.
The categories of activities are Art, Recreation, Culinary, and S.T.E.M. The Youth daily programme promises to be engaging and exciting.
Best Celebrity Cruises For Kids
Celebrity Cruises might not be the cruise line to find giant onboard water parks or ziplines — nor does it have a reputation for being particularly kid-focused — but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t boast plenty of attractions and amenities for the family set.
Just like Celebrity shines when it comes to onboard enrichment for grown-ups, the cruise line offers a slew of activities for children, as well. This is especially true on Celebrity Equinox although it isn’t the cruise line’s newest or largest ship, Equinox features some unique offerings geared toward children.
Celebrity’s kids program is called Camp at Sea, and rather than a set menu of activities, the programming changes from sailing to sailing based on the preferences of the children onboard. Camp at Sea offers facilities and activities for children ages 3 to 11, as well as teens. In addition to age-appropriate play areas, camp-style games and contests, arts and crafts, and Xbox video gaming systems, partnerships with Anturus and Lonely Planet offer a Celebrity-exclusive S.T.E.M program that features experiments, demonstrations and other hands-on learning activities.

Claires vlog here of a 4 berth outside cabin gives a great view of the family rooms on Royal Caribbean. With a lower double bed and two bunks that are stowed away and brought out again at night by your cabin attendant. Outside rooms are generally on lower decks but offer windows or porthole style windows for a fantastic view of the ocean. Suites On Celebrity Ships
There are 10 types of suites on Celebritys ships, four of which Sky Suites, Celebrity Suites, Royal Suites and Penthouse Suites appear on every single ship in the fleet. Two more Edge Villas and Iconic Suites are found only on Edge-class vessels. Another two, Signature Suites and Reflection Suites, are exclusive to Celebrity Reflection, and the remaining Sunset Suites and AquaClass Suites are new to the fleet with the debut of Celebrity Beyond.
Passengers booked in any of the suites in this category have access to the exclusive suites-only lounge and pool deck, known as The Retreat, as well as dining in suite-access-only restaurant Luminae.

Cruisers in these accommodations also receive a slew of perks, including higher-level Wi-Fi and drink packages onboard credit prepaid gratuities free in-room bottles of alcohol complimentary laundry, shoeshine, butler and concierge services and priority embarkation and tendering, among other draws.

Whats New On Celebrity Cruise Ships
In the Summer of 2017, Celebritys Equinox introduced year-round Caribbean sailings from Miami, for those seeking a summer getaway to the tropical islands of the Eastern and Western Caribbean Islands. On these cruises, Summer Camp at Sea entertains kids, ages 3 to 17-years-old with fun and educational activities including Adventure through Science and video production. Celebrity has recently launched exclusive sailings and new itineraries with adventure cruises to the Galapagos Islands on 10 to 15-night sailings with shore excursions guided by expert naturalists. These will be available on the state-of-the-art Xpedition, and on the 24-stateroom Xperience and the 8-stateroom Xploration, both of which have underbone multimillion dollar upgrades. Flora, the newest ship in the fleet, whose debut is May 26, 2019 will also cruise to the Galapagos Islands.

Kid’s ProgramsFamily-friendly cruise lines offer on-board children’s programs staffed by certified youth counselors. Participation in these fun and educational opportunities is optional, but most parents find that it’s sometimes hard to get the kids to leave them! Activities are offered on both days at sea and while the ship is in port.
Typically, you’ll find the children organized by age into three or four different groups, each offering appropriate activities in separate playrooms. Some cruise ships even have a teen clubhouse. The minimum age to join the program on many ships is 2 or 3 years, and the children are expected to be potty trained. However, some lines require that children be age 5 or older.
While some cruise lines, like Disney Cruises and Carnival Cruise Line, guarantee children’s activities on every sailing, in every destination year-round, others offer the program seasonally or only when there are a certain number of children booked on the cruise. In these instances, we can usually learn if the children’s program will be in effect inside of 60 days of sailing.

Every day, youll find live entertainment on board. The ships singers and dancers perform several live shows during the week, and special performers come in too. On our cruise, we enjoyed a magicians show and a comedian in addition to the three live performances by the regular performers.

Family Entertainment On Carnival
Carnival also have the whimsical world of Dr. Seuss onboard with Cats in Hats and Fish Red and Blue Dr. Seuss leaps off the page and onto Seuss at Sea. There are timeless stories that whole family can enjoy including special onboard character parades. You will also find and IMAX theatre onboard as well the Punch liner comedy club.
Dining Venues And Entertainment
Celebrity Cruises is known for their food and dining options. Service is exceptional, and our waiter encouraged us to try everything and to enjoy ourselves in the process. We opted for an early seating at dinner our window table rewarded us with breaching humpback whales and orcas on some days.
For variety, the ship includes various specialty restaurants for lunch and dinner that require an additional fee. If you havent planned ahead, a great option is to try out one at lunch when its easier to get in. We also met friends hanging out for coffee or a drink in the oceanview Caffe al Bacio, which also provided a glimpse at the many activities going on in the atrium.

Balcony Cruise Cabins For Families
There are several kinds of balcony cabins, tradition balconies overlook the sea and are the perfect way to cruise. For us the perfect way to have easy of mind and enjoy and balcony is to book an aft tiered balcony. This means you will have a balcony below you rather than the sea. A balcony does not look like a soft landing does it? I am not ever sure our children would climb. The fear is all mine but booking an aft cabin makes me feel more relaxed. And with the added bonus of a little extra space, I will always choose an aft cabin given the choice. Several cruise lines offer this option including Carnival, Royal Caribbean and Princess.
