Kids Club And Family Activities
The Solstice offers a full kids club for ages 3 to 11 as well as a teen center. There were about 50 regular attendees the week of our cruise my 11-year-old bonded with kids her own age and participated in daily activities. While the experiences and activities vary by age, kids 9 to 11 engage in cooking classes, scavenger hunts around the ship and movie nights, and they try their hand at flying drones and robotics. The teens have their own space a more casual hangout area versus organized and supervised activities.
Beyond the kids club, there are organized family events around the ship. One morning it was a table tennis tournament and another day it was a movie on the Lawn Club, a real grass lawn that was mowed with a lawnmower before the showing. The cruise ended with an all-ages kids talent show, which ended up being a highlight.

Cruising With Kids On The Celebrity Equinox
We recently embarked on a 10 day #MyEndlessSummer Celebrity Equinox Cruise, in the middle of winter. Read more to find out how you can experience your own #MyEndlessSummer adventure, any time of the year.
Midway through our recent Caribbean cruise on the Celebrity Equinox, a woman stopped me at the elevators.
How are your children liking the cruise? she asked me. Theyre about the same age as my grandchildren and Ive been debating whether to bring them on a cruise with us some time.
As I started talking, the elevator we were waiting for came and went. And then another one went by without us. And another one after that. I couldnt stop gushing about Celebritys engaging youth staff, the wide range of childrens programming and activities, the servers who made my kids feel so special at every meal, and the wonderful childcare services that allowed parents to enjoy a date night or spend a quiet afternoon at the pool, or explore an island on a day at port, all while the kids were having the time of their lives in the Fun Factory up on Deck 15.
I could have gone on for hours about how much my children liked the cruise, but perhaps my 12-year-old said it best when she was asked about it on our last day at sea.
I love it, she said simply. I wish we could forevercruise.

Best Celebrity Cruises For Kids

Just like Celebrity shines when it comes to onboard enrichment for grown-ups, the cruise line offers a slew of activities for children, as well. This is especially true on Celebrity Equinox although it isnât the cruise lineâs newest or largest ship, Equinox features some unique offerings geared toward children.
Celebrityâs kids program is called Camp at Sea, and rather than a set menu of activities, the programming changes from sailing to sailing based on the preferences of the children onboard. Camp at Sea offers facilities and activities for children ages 3 to 11, as well as teens. In addition to age-appropriate play areas, camp-style games and contests, arts and crafts, and Xbox video gaming systems, partnerships with Anturus and Lonely Planet offer a Celebrity-exclusive S.T.E.M program that features experiments, demonstrations and other hands-on learning activities.

Ship SpecificsCelebrity was founded and marketed as a big-ship operator in 1989 by the Chandris Group in Greece. In 1997, the cruise line was acquired by Royal Caribbean and now operates as a sister company. With 10 ships in total, the former small-ship cruise line continues to offer personalized service on their new, larger ships. Since 2008, Celebrity has produced ships that weigh 122,000 tons larger than all of Carnivals fleet, except Carnival Dream. Passengers rarely experience lines or excessive crowding.
