When travel collapsed, one of the first things that happened was the airlines stopped playing some of their petty pricing games with customers.
Suddenly, when they realized they needed us, airlines wanted to be our friends. Cancellation fees were dropped. Then change fees went out the window.
Now that the cruise lines are gearing up to restart vacations in the United States, its cruisings turn to play nice.
Celebrity Cruises has announced that when it returns to service, all passengers will automatically be enrolled in the new Always Included program. Beginning November 17, two Wi-Fi logins per stateroom, both alcoholic and nonalcholoic beverages, and gratuities will be part of everyones standard cruise fare. Normally, all those things are charged separately.
The standard package entitles passengers to basic Wi-Fi and classic cocktails, wines by the glass, beer, sodas, specialty coffees and teas, juices and bottled water, according to the official FAQ. Here, classic pretty much means no top-shelf booze. The Celebrity website goes into detail about which kinds of alcohol are included its a decent list that would satisfy the general public.
Connoisseurs can pay another $30 a day for the Elevate add-on that buys them more bandwidth for streaming video and access to the premium hooch.

Absolutely every cruise includes a place for you to stay. A cruise without a cabin wouldnt be much good at all! Cabins vary from inside cabins to suites and the price varies accordingly. Youll usually find me in an inside cabin but I occasionally upgrade to a balcony.
Some food .
On every cruise, there is included food. You dont NEED to pay extra for any food.
There are plenty of options where you can pay more and the cruise line will try and sell these speciality restaurants to you throughout the cruise. It is perfectly okay to stick with the free options! I dont usually spend more on food when I cruise.

On some premium lines like Viking, all food is included without an upcharge.
Some drinks .
Whenever the buffet is open you will have access to water and usually tea/coffee for free. On some cruise lines like Celebrity Cruises there is juice available in the buffet all day, generally speaking, the juice is normally only available with breakfast.
If you are cruising on a British line you may have a kettle in your cabin which is another option if you fancy a free drink. Having a cup of tea on the balcony is one of my favourite cruising pass times.

Celebrity Cruises will start selling its cruises with an all-inclusive fare called Always Included that will offer a lot more in the price point, the line announced on Tuesday.
Starting on Nov. 17, all of Celebrity Cruises’ fares will include unlimited drinks unlimited WiFi and daily gratuities. The move comes as Celebrity shifts towards a new luxury culture with the launch of its Edge Series ships, President and CEO Lisa Lutoff-Perlo said in a statement.
Today, nothing is more luxurious than when things are extra simple and extra special. We wanted to bring that big wonderful feeling of everything is taken care of to life for our guests, she said.
Aside from the Always Included fare, Celebrity is also offering two upgraded packagesthe first, called Elevate, includes unlimited premium drinks and shore excursions up to $200 per person the second, called Indulge, includes all of that along with a step up to unlimited streaming WiFi and up to $400 per person in onboard credit.
Celebrity guests staying in The Retreat, its ship-within-a-ship concept, will be given the Indulge package.
