Disney Wish Introduces Aquamouse Star Wars And Avengers

Disney Cruise Line’s first new ship in a decade will usher in a number of firsts when Disney Wish debuts in June 2022. The 4,000-passenger ship — designed primarily around the theme of “enchantment” — will offer new dining experiences, reimagined kids clubs , and the first-ever Disney attraction at sea: the 760-foot-long waterslide known as AquaMouse, which mixes storytelling and thrills. Disney Wish deck plans reveal a world of wonders for the young and young-at-heart.

But Disney has also mindfully designed Disney Wish for parents, too. The adults-only Quiet Cove will introduce the cruise line’s first infinity pool, while grown-ups will be the only ones allowed to dine at Enchante, the line’s new onboard restaurant designed by three-Michelin-starred chef Arnaud Lallement. Where will Disney Wish sail from? Like its earliest fleetmates, Disney Wish will debut in the Caribbean and Bahamas, sailing from the line’s flagship terminal in Port Canaveral — a view that will be best seen from the line’s massive suite inset into one of the ship’s funnels.

Owned by MSC Cruises and constructed in France, the MSC Grandiosa is one of the three Meraviglia Plus class cruise ships with a capacity of more than 6000 passengers. She completed her sea trials and entered service in the fall of 2019. Christened by the legendary actress of yesteryears Sophia Loren, the MSC Grandiosa has cruised across the Mediterranean, calling in at Genoa, Barcelona, Marseilles and Rome.

In 2020 she was set to be relocated to Brazil for a South American tour, but those plans are shelved for the time being. In the late summer of 2020, MSC Grandiosa was the first cruise large ship to return to the sea after a five-month hiatus. The shore trips are, however, sanctioned by MSC and strictly under their supervision.

The Oasis Of The Seas

The Oasis of the Seas is the worlds largest cruise ship. It can carry up to 6,200 passengers, who are served by over 2000 crew members. The vessel is 40% bigger than any other cruise ship in the world , has a weight of 225,000 tons and is five times the size if the Titanic. It has a total of 15 decks and is as high as a twenty- storey building.

The ship was built in Finland and is owned by Royal Caribbean International. Its maiden voyage is scheduled for early December 2009. The ship is stationed in Fort Lauderdale Florida, from where it will go on week-long cruises of the Caribbean Sea.

The Oasis of the Seas has virtually everything a tourist can dream of. Biggest attraction is a giant open-air theatre for 750 passengers that is a swimming pool by day and an entertainment arena at night. Passengers can wander through a park full of real trees and exotic plants, eat and drink in 24 restaurants or travel up and down between decks in a movable bar. There is something for everyone: a small golf course, a basketball court, an ice rink and two rock-climbing walls for those looking for athletic activities. Mothers can leave small children in nurseries while they go shopping in the ships boutiques.

The best and latest technology makes the Oasis of the Seas one of the most modern ships on the seas. But, the captain says, its very easy to manoeuvre because everything is automated and runs with computers.

With Norwegian Prima, Norwegian Cruise Line ushers in a new class of ship, with an array of accompanying new features. The Norwegian Prima deck plan includes something for everyone. Thrill seekers will love The Drop — a dry, freefall slide that has a 10-story plunge — as well as a new version of the popular top-deck race track. There’s also The Rush, a pair of dueling dry racing slides, and the line’s first Tidal Wave innertube waterslide.

Norwegian always leans into nightlife, and Norwegian Prima’s theater will be able to convert into a giant Las Vegas-style nightclub.
