Transfers From Seattle Airport To Cruise Terminal Pier 91 Or Pier 66
Even though Seattle is a fantastic departure point for cruise ships, unless youre already located in the Pacific Northwest, the city is often best reached by airplane. But Sea-Tac airport isnt exactly close to Seattle Port, which means that youll need to take ground transportation to get to your cruise ship. And for nearly a decade, visitors to Seattle have counted on Starline to provide them with a comfortable private town car, SUV and van service on the way to their cruise terminal.
Since most of the cruises leaving from Seattle are 7 days long, youll likely arrive at Sea-Tac with plenty of luggage, not to mention that youll be eager to start off your vacation on the right foot. However, the cruise season is an extremely busy time of year in Seattle, and in order to accomplish this, its best to book your airport transfer well in advance. These cruise explore the frigid waters of Alaska and western Canada, with unprecedented views of glaciers and hiking excursions. Seattle has two separate cruise terminals, Pier 66 and Pier 91. Both are easily accessible from the airport or the downtown area through a variety of transportation options.

How Do I Find Seattle Express At The Cruise Terminals
Bell Street Pier / Pier 66: After leaving the Customs Inspection area, turn right and proceed south, past the bus area, to the sidewalk along the street. Look overhead for the Skybridge. The Coordinator will be located below the Skybridge, holding a bright ORANGE clipboard.
Smith Cove Cruise Terminal / Pier 91: As you leave the Customs Inspection area, proceed outside the terminal to Bus Lane R. Coordinator, Kathy, wearing a Seattle Express shirt, will be there to check you in.

There is a Homewood Suites roughly in between the two on Western Avenue. It is called the downtown location, but it is closer to Seattle Center on the waterfront side. A short taxi ride to either terminal.
We are on Holland America Cruise Line, which sails from Pier 91.
The Homewood Suites Downtown on Western Avenue is about a mile and a half from Pier 91. It is the closest hotel to Pier 91 that I am aware of.

The hotel is reasonably close to Seattle Center , the heart of lower Queen Anne and the Olympic Sculpture Park . There will be coffee shops and places to eat nearby. For a breakfast pastry, Danish bakery Nielsen just up the street is one of my favorites. If you are looking for an excellent restaurant nearby I can recommend the Boat Street, which is .1 mile away. Rene Erickson, the chef, was nominated for a James Beard award for Best Chef, Pacific NW.
Pike Place Market is a little more than a mile from the hotel. It is 1.7 miles to the ferry terminal. The heart of the shopping district is about 1.3 miles. From your location it is also only 3.5 miles to Ballard … You can catch a range of buses nearby to take you downtown or north to Ballard.

Many of the cruise lines offer transportation services to get you from the airport to your cruise terminal. It might be included in your travel package depending on what you purchased. For example, Royal Caribbean provides shuttle service if you purchased an Air/Sea package. However even if you did not, you can still contact your cruise line and pay for transportation services to and from the airport. Some hotels, which offer cruise packages, include complimentary parking as part of a package. A few shuttle services have popped up in recent years to help you get from the airport to the cruise port. These services offer either private or shared service.
Shuttle Express: Offers dedicated service between the airport and cruise port. For about $25-$35 per person each way, this is one of the most affordable options to get back and forth. If you are staying at a hotel in the area, you can also arrange them to give you a ride there instead.
Capital Aeroporter: Has private service that costs around $130 roundtrip between the airport and cruise port. While that seems expensive, the price is good for up to five adult passengers. A sixth passenger increases the price $15 roundtrip.
Aces Town Car Service: While not necessarily focused on the cruise niche, Aces offers service from the airport to anywhere in town. Rates run about $70 each way for trips to the port, for up to three adults in a private luxury sedan.

We are going to leave Vancouver next Tuesday and head to Seattle Airport to catch a flight at 1:00pm. What time would you leave downtown Vancouver to make the flight on time? Never crossed the border before. I know the drive itself is about 3 hrs. But dont know how much time to account for the border. Which port of entry would you recommend?

Rental car? Returning at SEA is a bit of a hassle . 6, 7 at the very very latest. You will have the hassle of the Massey tunnel to deal with unless you can find your way to get to the Alex Fraser bridge. Border is usually quiet that time of the morning for passenger traffic and quick .
Of course you will have airport procedures at SEA to deal with.
Good news is that the express lanes though Seattle will be open to you
Go to Seattle the night before, and stay overnight. Much better to be early than to be late. No fortune teller can tell you what can happen between Vancouver and SEA.
I wouldnt want to take the chance on leaving Vancouver in the morning for an early afternoon flight in Seattle. Who knows what issues you could run into. I definitely agree with yvr1, go down the day before.

Where To Grab A Bite Or Last Minute Essentials
At both terminals, cruise lines sometimes provide complimentary water, juice or other refreshments for passengers. For a more substantive meal, Anthony’s Pier 66 & Bell Street Diner is located right where it says it is, and next to the Bell Street cruise terminal. Cafe Opla, an American-Vietnamese breakfast restaurant , is across the street at 2200 Alaskan Way and closes by 2:30 p.m. Homemade biscuits and brews are also within walking distance at Honest Biscuits and Old Stove Brewing, respectively.
Beer is not a far walk from Pier 91, either, with Holy Mountain Brewing Company less than a mile from the ship. Tacos, bakeries and a specialty chocolate shop called Chocolopolis round out some of Seattle’s nearby culinary offerings close to the Smith Cove terminal.
Last-minute toiletries are for sale at the nearby Edgewater Hotel and the Seattle Waterfront Marriott hotel, across the street near the Bell Street Terminal at Pier 66.
There are no ATM machines inside either cruise terminal.

STILA is the authorized company offering town cars, SUVs, and stretch limos to passengers at Sea-Tac. This transportation option is more expensive than any Seattle shuttle or taxi service, but it is more convenient and has more comfortable vehicles for business trips and diverse events.
To book a limousine or town car with a professional driver, head to the Travelers’ Information Board in Baggage Claim or Ground Transportation booth on the third floor of the garage.
