Disney Cruise With Babies
Families traveling with babies and young children have access to a host of onboard services and amenities:
- Complimentary diaper disposal units, bottle warmers, bottle sterilizers, cribs and playpens are available upon request from the stateroom host/hostess.
- Complimentary strollers are available at Guest Services.
- Complimentary Pack-n-Play portable cribs are available. Your stateroom host or hostess can set the crib up and take it down for you each day.
- Complimentary high chairs are available at all of the restaurants onboard.
- Fresh pureed vegetables can be prepared at the main dining rooms and through room service, upon request.
- At Castaway Cay, Disneys private island in the Bahamas, complimentary wagons are available to facilitate navigating the islands sandy beaches.
- Essential baby supplies are available for purchase at the onboard merchandise shops, including diapers, training pants, rash cream, infant formula , bottles, pacifiers, baby food, baby shampoo, baby lotion and baby powder.
All complimentary services and amenities are offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
Please note: Guests may bring baby food and formula onboard the ship as carry-on items as long as they are pre-packaged, unopened and do not require any food preparation from the kitchen.

Is It Safe To Take A Baby On A Cruise
A cruise ship usually welcomes babies six months of age or younger on its family cruises. Only MSC Cruises which doesnt require babies to be under six months old to sail follows this rule. If the cruises are planned in certain itineraries that have a lot of consecutive days at sea, babies who are just under 12 months of age have to attend the cruise.
Your Child Has To Be 6 Months Or Older To Sail
First and foremost, you should make sure your child is old enough to sail aboard Disney Cruise Line. If youre planning your familys Disney cruise to be your babys first Disney vacation, take note: your baby must be 6 months or older in order to sail aboard a Disney cruise ship, or 1 year or older for Transatlantic and Panama Canal trips. For new parents, this may be a deal-breaker that causes them to book a Disney Parks vacation instead of a Disney cruise. But if youre willing to wait until your baby is a bit older, a cruise will be worth it.

Who Qualifies For Disneys Military Discount
Special Military rates are available to all retired and active U.S. Military personnel , including U.S. Air Force, U.S. Army, U.S. Marines, U.S Navy, U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. National Guard, U.S. Army Reserve and U.S. Department of Defense personnel.
Active and retired members of the U.S. military must provide valid identification at the time of check-in.
This offer is limited to a maximum of 1 stateroom per military member , per sailing.
A U.S. Military service member is required to sail to take advantage of this offer.
Activated members of the U.S. National Guard or the U.S. Army Reserve must also show active duty orders .
Getting Around A With A Baby On A Disney Cruise

Are There Any Other Fees For Cruising Babies
While on some cruises babies can cruise for free or at discounted rates however there are some other fees that apply to even babies. For instance even babies will be charged gratuities for each day of your sailings so be sure to factor this in when calculating your cruise budget.
For shore excursions, babies when sat on an adults lap will be able to go on excursions for free. However if you would prefer your child to be in a car seat on a coach then you will be required to pay the child rate for your shore excursion. It is also worth nothing here that not all shore excursions will be suitable for babies so be sure to check age restrictions before booking.
And finally, if you wish to use babysitting services, on some cruise lines this will be an additional cost. Check the cruise lines website for current fees for babysitting and any age restrictions that apply.
Food And Drink Areas For Adults Without Kids
Disney focuses on excellence in food, no matter if it’s within their theme parks or around their Walt Disney World property.
The majority of dining areas aboard DCL ships are for every guest aboard, regardless of age. But there are plenty of dining options for adults only.
They include:

While Disney Cruises are all-inclusive, there are some things not included but available for an additional charge, such as:

- Wi-Fi You’ll need to purchase an internet package onboard internet access for use outside the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app.
Transportation to the port your cruise leaves from, and your port excursions are extra costs to factor in when planning your vacation. and gratuity is not included.
In-room babysitting is an extra cost, and renting the nursery for babies is an hourly charge.

Crystal Cruises allows kids age 11 and under to sail at 50-percent off regular rates. The cruise line occasionally offers kids sail free promotions, too currently, its allowing children ages 17 and under to sail free with two paying adults on select cruises through Jan. 8. 2020. Dream Itineraries & Beyond
Disney Dream offers three, four, and five night cruises to The Bahamas, with a day or two spent at Disneys private island, Castaway Cay.
If you plan to sail on Dream , Id go for the longest cruise you can afford. I felt an incredible sense of hurry up and have fun on our two-night preview cruise.
On the other hand, Jodi prefers the shorter cruises. She says, We love the amenities and service offered on the Disney Cruise Line. We especially enjoy cruising on the Disney Dream because the itineraries are 3-4 days. That way, we can combine a cruise with a few days at the Disney parks.

Have you always wanted to sail on a Disney Cruise Line ship that wasnt overrun with kids? Nows your chance.
The family-focused cruise operator on Friday announced plans to only allow passengers vaccinated for COVID-19 on an upcoming Disney Wonder sailing through the Panama Canal. That means that assuming vaccination eligibility rules dont change in the coming weeks no children under the age of 12 would be allowed on the voyage.
Children under the age of 12 currently are not eligible for a COVID-19 vaccine.
The vaccination policy for this one sailing, which kicks off Nov. 5 in San Diego, is far more restrictive than what Disney has implemented on other voyages since it resumed limited operations in July.

For all other sailings, Disney is allowing children under the age of 12 to sail without a COVID-19 vaccine as long as they test negative before boarding. Passengers 12 and older must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 on Disney ships.
The combination of these factors could make it more difficult for the line to contain a COVID-19 outbreak among unvaccinated passengers than on a more typical Disney voyage.
