Don’t Miss: Which Cruise Is Best For Adults

    Harbor Cruise Hornblower Or Flagship

Looking into one of the 1 or 2 hour harbor cruises , on either Hornblower or Flagship….

Please let me know if you’ve been on either one of these and your comments on which one.

    Thanks in advance for help.

looked up details for both cruise companies…Hornblower & Flagship, they are both same price , same departure times and seem like the same route….so seems like the boat accommodations themselves seem to be like the only difference….

    need help deciding please…which one?

They are a long time, local company.

I prefer Hornblower. We have been on both but I just prefer Hornblower better. Even though I live in San Diego, we usually go on a harbor cruise 1-2 times per year. Just did their Jazz Brunch cruise in August and it was a great time.

FYI – Hornblower is a California based company and has been operating in San Diego since 1984.

Frankly, if you are just doing the 2 hour harbor cruise – then they are very comparable.

thanks for replies and comments. wasn’t sure if 2 hours would seem be ‘too long’….going to be on a Monday afternoon, so I’m thinking not too busy….

California based company and has been operating in San Diego since 1984. < < <

Flagship is a San Diego based company and has been in SD since 1915.

I much prefer their cruises and services over Hornblower, especially their North Bay and South Bay cruises.

The Maritime Museum operates a small historical cruise on board the Pilot. It is an add on to the Maritime Museum admission. We like the museum a lot.

Regular Harbor & Whale Watching Tours

For San Diego whale watching cruises, or normal harbor tours tourists can wear casual attire, such as shorts and t-shirts.

We recommend dressing in layers and bringing along a jacket or a wrap because it can get breezy on board, especially on the outer decks and on cruises that head out on the open ocean.

For daytime cruises, it makes a lot of sense to bring along a hat and some sunscreen.
