What To Look For When Shopping For Plus Size Cruise Clothes For Women

When shopping for womens plus size cruise clothing, I look for style, comfort and fit. Spending your time adjusting clothes that are either too tight or too loose, will take away from your cruise pleasure, feeling comfortable is key to confidence.

Find the styles that suit you and stick to them. I have two styles I like, clothing that skims my body and accentuates my curves and floaty kaftan tops decorated with a touch of bling that go great with capri pants.

Like every woman, I like pretty clothes, I want to look as attractive as I can, I love looking for those little feminine touches of wispy fabrics, beading, embroidery and lace when looking for cruise wear for ladies. I hope you enjoyed this article. Happy Shopping!

Concerns About Cabin Size

Cruising 101 the more you spend, the bigger the stateroom. With that said, you arent in your cabin very often. You just need to be able to comfortably sleep, shower, and pee!

If youre concerned about having a tight room, an interior cabin isnt ideal, but its manageable for people of most sizes .

If you can afford a bit more, a balcony cabin will provide you with a few more square feet. Just note, the balcony chairs provided almost always have arms and are not accommodating for people of size.

Every cruise line has accessible staterooms, but they are reserved for people with disabilities. You can inquire with your cruise line regarding their qualifications, and if you might be able to request an accessible stateroom close to your departure date if they havent already been filled.

Regardless of what size room you get, be sure to take really good care of your room steward beyond the gratuity you pay as part of being on a cruise.

These cruise clothes ideas are based on my own experience on two Caribbean cruises. I way overpacked my Caribbean cruise wardrobe on my first cruise. I didnt know what proper cruise attire was so packed much more than I needed, just in case. By my second cruise I had some practical experience on cruise attire ideas based on what other travelers wore on board and what I did and didnt use from my first experience. On my second cruise our whole family of four managed to travel in just one carry on backpack!

On my first cruise with RCL I did note that Royal Caribbean cruise attire was slightly dressier in my experience than what we observed on our second cruise with Norwegian. As mentioned above, we just went on a Carnival cruise too so I have put together a packing list for that also.

There’s a few rules of things that you really shouldn’t do – unless you just can’t resist:-

  • no tight white cotton pants that show the bulges in your legs and cut up around your thighs, buy them in the right size !
  • don’t tuck your top into your pants – instead wear a top that comes down over your tummy area, as this is far more flattering
  • no bikinis – try out some of the wonderful new styles of swimsuit or swim dress that look so feminine

Eating On A Cruise Ship

Its easy to worry that people will judge you, especially when it comes to unlimited food options and quantities.

Amanda and Jimmy share they have only been met with kindness and compassion. Theyve never felt judged and are often encouraged to try whatever sounds good on the menu.

For starters, let the staff know about any dietary restrictions. Then try not to worry about what others might think as you enjoy your vacation.
