Disney Cruise Line Is Returning To Hawaii In 2022

Disney Cruise Line on Thursday revealed that it will return to Hawaii in 2022 with 10-night Hawaiian Island sailings.
Disney will sail to the Aloha State aboard Disney Wonder with two special 10-night sailings, one from Honolulu from Vancouver on April 26 and then a return journey back to Vancouver on May 6. Aside from Honolulu, the sailings will give guests the opportunity to explore Waikiki on Oahu, the summit of Haleakala Crater on Maui, and the waterfalls in Kauai.
Along with Hawaii, Disney also announced updated schedules for its other ships and ports of call, including news on where its fleet will homeport.
Disney Fantasy will start off 2022 from Port Canaveral, sailing a six-night Western Caribbean cruise followed by a slate of seven-night cruises to both the Western and Eastern Caribbean.
Disney Dream will also homeport in Port Canaveral, sailing three and four-night Bahamian cruises that include stops at Disneys Castaway Cay. Dream will sail one special sailing that includes two stops at Castaway.
Disney Magic will homeport in Miami, sailing four and five-night Western Caribbean sailings including one special three-night sailing to Castaway Cay and Key West.
Disney Wish, the upcoming ship that was set to debut in early 2022, will now come into service in the summer due to COVID-19 delays at the Meyer-Werft shipyard in Germany.

Disney Cruise Line Announces Early 2022 Itineraries Featuring A Return To Hawaii
Disney Cruise Line released their early 2022 itineraries today. In early 2022, Disney Cruise Line will sail throughout the Caribbean, The Bahamas, Mexico and more from home ports in Florida, Texas, California and New Orleans. Plus, back by popular demand, were returning to the sunny, windswept shores of Hawaii with two 10-night Hawaiian sailings aboard the Disney Wonder.
Todays release extends the available sail dates through mid-2022 allowing guest to plan vacations or move a currently scheduled cruise more than one year out, as well as take advantage of opening day pricing for some of the new itineraries.
Although the dates were announced today, general booking will not open until Thursday October 22nd. However, there will be a tiered booking period beginning Monday October 19th.
- Monday October 19th Platinum Castaway Club members & Disneys Golden Oaks residents
- Tuesday October 20th Gold Castaway Club members
- Wednesday October 21st Silver Castaway Club members, Adventures by Disney Insiders, and DVC members who have not previously sailed with DCL

Disney Cruise Line Coronavirus Travel Alert April 6 2020
All Departures through April 28 and Vancouver Sailings until the end of JuneWith the well-being of our Guests and team members our top priority, and in line with the direction from health experts and government officials, Disney Cruise Line has decided to extend the suspension of all new departures through Tuesday, April 28, 2020.
Additionally, the Canadian government has announced that it will not allow any ship with more than 500 passengers to dock in any Canadian port until July 1, at the earliest. Given that we have not been able to secure an alternate homeport, it is necessary for us to cancel sailings scheduled to embark and/or debark in Vancouver.
Guests currently booked on affected sailings will be offered the choice of a cruise credit to be used for a future sailing within 15 months of their original sail date or a full refund. These Guests and travel agents will receive an email from us outlining details and next steps.
Guests who booked their reservation through a travel agent should contact them directly with any questions. Those who booked directly with Disney Cruise Line and have questions after receiving their email from us should call us at 325-6685 or 566-7797.Below is a list of impacted sailings:

Do You Have A Big Family Or Need More Space
If you have more than two kids, you are probably already used to the challenge of standard hotel rooms. Most of them are built for four. Upgrading to larger accommodations or even booking two rooms brings major increased costs.
Disney Cruise cabins are a tight squeeze even for a family of 4, but bigger families will require even more.
Big families will likely find that both Aulani and Disney Cruise Line present the usual challenges. As you can probably imagine, space is a little easier to come by on land than on sea. Larger suites and condos are ultimately available at Aulani.
Aulani has some more flexible options for larger families because of its abundance of Disney Vacation Club villas . One bedroom villas sleep up to 5 people. Families of 6 or more will need to upgrade to the two or three bedroom villas. To be sure, these premium rooms do not come cheap. But the villas have full kitchens and washer/dryers that make them very convenient for larger families.

Disney Cruise Lines announced on September 10th that it will be offering many new cruise itineraries for 2022. All four of Disney Cruise Lines ships will be sailing from ports in the United States and Canada. According to the cruise lines website, the ships will sail from ports in Galveston Texas, Miami, Florida, New Orleans, Louisiana, Port Canaveral, Florida, San Diego, California and Vancouver, British Columbia. The cruise line also revealed that they will resume cruises in the Hawaiian Islands.

Itinerary Of Disney Cruise Line
By 2025, DCL-Disney Cruise Line’s fleet will double its size following the introduction of two newbuilds . To be deployed mainly in the USA-Caribbean, the new boats will be homeported in Miami and Port Canaveral .
DCL operates “Disney Cruise Line Terminal” in Port Canaveral Florida – the homeport for the liners Fantasy and Dream. Disney Magic is homeported in Miami Florida, Disney Wonder is homeported in Galveston Texas and San Diego California plus Vancouver BC Canada .
DCL offers various destinations, including Europe, the Caribbean, The Bahamas, Panama Canal, Canada, and New England, Alaska, Pacific Coast USA, as well as Transatlantic crossings on repositioning. Most itineraries are roundtrips to The Bahamas, Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries. During summer, Disney Wonder operates on Alaskan cruises from Vancouver. Disney Wonder Scheduled To Sail To Hawaii In 2015
According to the State of Hawaii Department of Transportation, the Disney Wonder is scheduled to return to Hawaii in 2015. Based on the currently port schedule which was last updated this past week, the Disney Wonder will call on Honolulu on September 17, 2015.
In 2012, the Disney Wonder sailed on a 15-Night and 14-Night cruise to Hawaii with stops in Hilo, Kahului, Honolulu, Nawiliwili and Ensenada. Honolulu was day eight on both itineraries which embarked from Los Angeles.
The timing of the call is the most interesting aspect with it being almost a full month earlier than the 2012 14-Night Hawaiian sailing which embarked on October 14th.
This potentially indicates that there will not be a series of the September 7-night California Coast Cruises which were Pixar themed in 2012. The other wild card will be wether Disney sticks with San Diego, or return to Los Angeles in 2015.
Pending the accuracy of the port calendar, the west coast positioning of the Disney Wonder it is easy to concluded she will also sail Alaska in 2015.
